Benjamin stared at the diamond ring for a moment, then snapped the lid shut. His fist tightened around the box.

A buzzing in his pocket snapped him out of his thoughts. His phone vibrated insistently.

He answered after glancing at the screen. "Hello?" His penetrating deep voice said over the phone.

"Benjamin! How are you doing? Did you propose already?" The older voice on the line brimmed with excitement,

"I have prepared the grandest mansion in the capital as your congratulatory gift, reserved the most luxurious restaurant at the top floor. I also prepare a 500-thousand-dollar wine, Screaming Eagle Cabernet 1992. It’s the best I could find, hope she likes it.”

The older man's voice said with enthusiasm.

Benjamin let out a low sigh. "You don’t need to bother, Timothy. It’s not happening."

On the other end of the line, Timothy heard Benjamin's dull tone and froze. His mind raced in shock.

The woman... rejected Benjamin?

The Benjamin who was richer than nations? The Benjamin shrouded in mystery and unmatched power?

Did she know who he was?

Shocked, Timothy fell into silence.

He had planned to make his request while Mr. Benjamin was in a good mood, but now…

Benjamin, sharp as ever, caught the silence hanging between them.

"Is there something else you need to tell me, Timothy?"

Timothy finally spoke up.

"I have a friend who’s in urgent need of medical help."

He paused, then added, "For most people, this would be a huge problem. But for you? It’s just another Tuesday."

"Timothy, I wish I could, but-"

"Wait," Timothy interrupted, his voice dropping to a whisper. "She’s offering Moonbloom as a reward."

The word hit Benjamin like a lightning strike. His breath caught.

Moonbloom, its leaves glowing faintly in the dark, a plant so scarce it was practically mythical.

Benjamin had spent years searching for it, chasing whispers and rumors, only to hit dead ends.

The few known specimens were locked away by powerful families, out of reach.

And now... here it was.

It was the one thing he needed to save his mother.

Her illness was a cruel, relentless thing—a rare disease that defied modern medicine.

The only hope was an ancient remedy, a concoction of seven near-impossible-to-find herbs.

Benjamin had spent years tracking down three of them. Four remained.

Moonbloom was a missing piece.

"I'm on my way." Benjamin replied in a more serious tone.

"I thought you’d say that," Timothy replied, a hint of relief in his tone. "See you soon."

As the call ended, Timothy let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding.

A small, relieved smile spread across his face.

His friend’s life was as good as saved.

Because when Benjamin said he was coming, it meant the fight was already over.

After all, Benjamin wasn’t just a man who saves people's lives. He was THE MAN.

The one they called "God’s Touch."

There were only two kinds of patients in Benjamin’s world: those he didn’t want to save... and those he couldn’t lose.

And so far, no one had ever fallen into the second category.

The elevator dinged, the doors sliding open.

Benjamin stepped out—and came face-to-face with a young man.

He was dressed in a well-tailored suit. It could have only been directly ordered from a top designer's fashion house.

As usual, he was surrounded by a crowd of women, who were just dispersing as the elevator came open.

Benjamin didn’t need a second glance to recognize him.

Marcus Roberts.

His cologne was arrogance, his aftershave was pride, and he wore the title of ‘playboy’ like a badge of honor.

More importantly, he was Emily’s "ideal" suitor.

The wealthy spoiled asshole she had chosen over him.

Benjamin’s jaw tightened, but his expression remained calm.

The elevator doors shut behind him, and he prepared to walk past.

But Marcus wasn’t one to let a moment slide.

"Well, if it isn’t the pauper of the year. I heard." Marcus sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. "It must be really hard to get kicked out on your face like that."

Benjamin stayed silent. Confronting Marcus was the last thing on his mind.

"It is a good thing she finally came to her senses, don't you think? I mean, I always knew Emily was a sensible woman. Even though I found it difficult to understand her years of staying with you." Marcus smirked, stepping closer.

Benjamin tried to push past Marcus, but he blocked his way.

“Whoa, not so fast,” Marcus said, grinning. “I need one last look at your face before I walk the woman you love down the aisle.”

Benjamin’s anger boiled, but he ignored it.

He could take Marcus down in a second, but he wasn’t about to make a scene. Not here, not now.

Marcus eyed the small red box in Benjamin’s hand and laughed.

"No way, you actually went through with it? And with that pathetic thing? Look at how old it is!" He burst out laughing.

Before Benjamin reacted, Marcus snatched the box right out of his hand.

"What the hell are you doing?" Benjamin’s patience wearing thin.

“Oh, don’t be so upset, just wanna make a comparison.” Marcus taunted, spinning the red box in his hand. “This is rubbish.”

“And this”—he pulled out a bigger, black velvet box—“is how you present a ring. But I guess it’s a little out of your league, huh?”

Benjamin reached for it, but Marcus yanked the box away, throwing the red box to the floor.

“Oops, my bad,” Marcus smirked.

The next moment, Marcus froze.

“What was that?”

That was when he noticed the red, diamond ring on the floor beside the box.

The red diamond ring lay on the floor, its brilliance so intense it was almost blinding.

The light it threw off was sharp, dazzling, like a shard of the sun itself.

This wasn’t just some ordinary piece of jewelry. No way. This was something... legendary.

"It can't be." He murmured to himself, moving closer to Benjamin as he picked up the ring.

"Stop!" he shouted at Benjamin. "How in the world did you manage to lay your filthy hands on that invaluable piece of diamond?!" He asked him in a threatening tone.

The wind whipped around the ancient monastery high in the mountains as Benjamin stood beside Amanda, facing Darius, the reclusive ally whose approval they had fought so hard to earn. The monastery itself looked like something lost to time. Carved stone halls, flickering torches lining the interior, and the faint echo of old chants still lingering in the air. Benjamin’s body ached from the trials Darius had imposed. The physical gauntlet, the moral test, and the final challenge required him to choose between his mission and a chance to save someone innocent caught in the crossfire. He had chosen the latter without hesitation. Now, Darius finally regarded him with a softer gaze. "You are not the man I expected," Darius said, his voice low but firm. "Most come here looking for glory, for shortcuts. You came with purpose, pain, and a willingness to lose everything for the people you love."Benjamin said nothing. His silence was not prideful. It was respectful. In this place, words carr

The abandoned fortress stood silent, its towering spires clawing at the darkening sky like frozen giants. Wind hissed through the broken archways, carrying dust and secrets. Amanda Williams paused at the edge of the shattered stone bridge, her gaze fixed on the silhouette of Benjamin. His àura was calm, focused, and determined as he stepped forward to face the man known only as Darius.Darius, a legend in the hidden world of relic keepers and secret guardians, stood like a statue carved from shadow. He had once walked away from the greater war, convinced it wasn't his to fight. But now, as whispers of a global threat grew louder, he could no longer turn a blind eye."So you’re the one who carries the burden now," Darius said, his voice deep and weathered.Benjamin nodded. "I didn’t ask for it, but I’m not walking away from it either."Darius’s dark eyes narrowed. "We’ll see."He raised one hand, and a circular etching on the stone floor beneath them glowed to life. Runes shimmered,

Emily paced the length of her office for the third time that morning, her heels clicking against the polished marble floor like a ticking clock in her chest. She had barely touched her coffee. The steam had long faded, leaving behind the scent of roasted beans and a bitterness she'd grown used to, much like the lingering taste of regret. She stared at the tablet on her desk. On the screen was a file labeled “Project Blackbird – Priority: Moore.” She hesitated before opening it. Even now, days after commissioning the internal team, she wasn’t sure how to feel about what she was doing. This wasn't a hostile investigation. It was personal. It had taken weeks of subtle inquiries, encrypted emails, and calling in favors from her remaining allies to compile a digital map of Benjamin Moore’s movements. Everything she had learned only deepened her awe and remorse. He hadn’t just disappeared after the land deal fiasco. He had stepped into something larger, something dangerous. His path cri

Benjamin ran through the thick underbrush, the cold mountain air clawing at his lungs, each breath burning as he wove through trees and stumbled over gnarled roots. The snow had begun to fall more ĥeavily, blanketing the forest in a deceptive calm that belied the chaos behind him. Flashlights darted in the distance, voices barking sharp commands. They were gaining ground. The shadow organization, silent, ruthless, relentless, mobilized its most dangerous hunters yet.His mind moved faster than his feet, analyzing escape routes, calculating odds. He had discarded his heavier gear two miles back to move faster. Only the essentials remained. A small pack, the encoded artifact, a knife, and the coordinates Amanda had given him. They pointed to a location deep in the forest. An old stone temple, half-swallowed by time and wilderness. It was the last known residence of the Custodian, the one man who could help him now.His boots skidded across a mossy rock, and he landed hard, scraping h

The candlelight flickered against the stone walls as Benjamin traced his fingers over the final decoded symbols from treasure 3. The combined artifacts had done more than anyone anticipated. They had revealed a prophecy, yes, but also a roadmap, one steeped in forgotten history and veiled in the warnings of a time long buried. The markings described not just a coming storm, but the very fabric of a war that had been postponed for generations.Benjamin sat in silence, eyes fixed on the parchment. Amanda Williams stood beside him, arms folded across her chest, her brows knit in quiet concern. “What does it mean?” she asked softly.“It means...” Benjamin said, voice rough, “...we’ve been playing a small part in something far bigger. This isn’t just about my mother. It never was.”The prophecy detailed a threat, one that could upend the world as they knew it. A dark force, once sealed away by the ancestors of his bloodline, was beginning to stir. Their seal, weakened over time, was fail

The storm outside raged on, but Benjamin barely noticed. Rain lashed against the windows of the temporary safe house he and Amanda had secured, lightning slicing the sky in flashes of cold white. His thoughts were elsewhere, deep in the past, back to a time when hope had looked very different. Emily had reached out to him again. The message was subtle, cautious. Nothing too revealing in case it was intercepted. But he knew her tone. There was vulnerability woven between the lines, a quiet desperation to be heard. She hadn’t asked for anything directly, only mentioned how she had come to understand more than she did before. She thanked him for the land deal, for his silence, for his protection. It was a heartfelt note, honest and raw.Benjamin stared at the message on his encrypted device, unmoving.Amanda walked in, fresh from a quick scout of the perimeter. She saw the expression on his face. The look of someone visiting ghosts and said nothing. She quietly placed a mug of coffe
