Benjamin stared at the diamond ring for a moment, then snapped the lid shut. His fist tightened around the box.

A buzzing in his pocket snapped him out of his thoughts. His phone vibrated insistently.

He answered after glancing at the screen. "Hello?" His penetrating deep voice said over the phone.

"Benjamin! How are you doing? Did you propose already?" The older voice on the line brimmed with excitement,

"I have prepared the grandest mansion in the capital as your congratulatory gift, reserved the most luxurious restaurant at the top floor. I also prepare a 500-thousand-dollar wine, Screaming Eagle Cabernet 1992. It’s the best I could find, hope she likes it.”

The older man's voice said with enthusiasm.

Benjamin let out a low sigh. "You don’t need to bother, Timothy. It’s not happening."

On the other end of the line, Timothy heard Benjamin's dull tone and froze. His mind raced in shock.

The woman... rejected Benjamin?

The Benjamin who was richer than nations? The Benjamin shrouded in mystery and unmatched power?

Did she know who he was?

Shocked, Timothy fell into silence.

He had planned to make his request while Mr. Benjamin was in a good mood, but now…

Benjamin, sharp as ever, caught the silence hanging between them.

"Is there something else you need to tell me, Timothy?"

Timothy finally spoke up.

"I have a friend who’s in urgent need of medical help."

He paused, then added, "For most people, this would be a huge problem. But for you? It’s just another Tuesday."

"Timothy, I wish I could, but-"

"Wait," Timothy interrupted, his voice dropping to a whisper. "She’s offering Moonbloom as a reward."

The word hit Benjamin like a lightning strike. His breath caught.

Moonbloom, its leaves glowing faintly in the dark, a plant so scarce it was practically mythical.

Benjamin had spent years searching for it, chasing whispers and rumors, only to hit dead ends.

The few known specimens were locked away by powerful families, out of reach.

And now... here it was.

It was the one thing he needed to save his mother.

Her illness was a cruel, relentless thing—a rare disease that defied modern medicine.

The only hope was an ancient remedy, a concoction of seven near-impossible-to-find herbs.

Benjamin had spent years tracking down three of them. Four remained.

Moonbloom was a missing piece.

"I'm on my way." Benjamin replied in a more serious tone.

"I thought you’d say that," Timothy replied, a hint of relief in his tone. "See you soon."

As the call ended, Timothy let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding.

A small, relieved smile spread across his face.

His friend’s life was as good as saved.

Because when Benjamin said he was coming, it meant the fight was already over.

After all, Benjamin wasn’t just a man who saves people's lives. He was THE MAN.

The one they called "God’s Touch."

There were only two kinds of patients in Benjamin’s world: those he didn’t want to save... and those he couldn’t lose.

And so far, no one had ever fallen into the second category.

The elevator dinged, the doors sliding open.

Benjamin stepped out—and came face-to-face with a young man.

He was dressed in a well-tailored suit. It could have only been directly ordered from a top designer's fashion house.

As usual, he was surrounded by a crowd of women, who were just dispersing as the elevator came open.

Benjamin didn’t need a second glance to recognize him.

Marcus Roberts.

His cologne was arrogance, his aftershave was pride, and he wore the title of ‘playboy’ like a badge of honor.

More importantly, he was Emily’s "ideal" suitor.

The wealthy spoiled asshole she had chosen over him.

Benjamin’s jaw tightened, but his expression remained calm.

The elevator doors shut behind him, and he prepared to walk past.

But Marcus wasn’t one to let a moment slide.

"Well, if it isn’t the pauper of the year. I heard." Marcus sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. "It must be really hard to get kicked out on your face like that."

Benjamin stayed silent. Confronting Marcus was the last thing on his mind.

"It is a good thing she finally came to her senses, don't you think? I mean, I always knew Emily was a sensible woman. Even though I found it difficult to understand her years of staying with you." Marcus smirked, stepping closer.

Benjamin tried to push past Marcus, but he blocked his way.

“Whoa, not so fast,” Marcus said, grinning. “I need one last look at your face before I walk the woman you love down the aisle.”

Benjamin’s anger boiled, but he ignored it.

He could take Marcus down in a second, but he wasn’t about to make a scene. Not here, not now.

Marcus eyed the small red box in Benjamin’s hand and laughed.

"No way, you actually went through with it? And with that pathetic thing? Look at how old it is!" He burst out laughing.

Before Benjamin reacted, Marcus snatched the box right out of his hand.

"What the hell are you doing?" Benjamin’s patience wearing thin.

“Oh, don’t be so upset, just wanna make a comparison.” Marcus taunted, spinning the red box in his hand. “This is rubbish.”

“And this”—he pulled out a bigger, black velvet box—“is how you present a ring. But I guess it’s a little out of your league, huh?”

Benjamin reached for it, but Marcus yanked the box away, throwing the red box to the floor.

“Oops, my bad,” Marcus smirked.

The next moment, Marcus froze.

“What was that?”

That was when he noticed the red, diamond ring on the floor beside the box.

The red diamond ring lay on the floor, its brilliance so intense it was almost blinding.

The light it threw off was sharp, dazzling, like a shard of the sun itself.

This wasn’t just some ordinary piece of jewelry. No way. This was something... legendary.

"It can't be." He murmured to himself, moving closer to Benjamin as he picked up the ring.

"Stop!" he shouted at Benjamin. "How in the world did you manage to lay your filthy hands on that invaluable piece of diamond?!" He asked him in a threatening tone.

The sky above the world was calm again. For the first time in what felt like forever, there were no strange ripples, no distortions in the air, no flickering stars hinting at another incoming threat. Just peace. Real, honest peace.Benjamin stood on the same hill where his journey had started years ago. The wind brushed through his hair, soft and warm, carrying the scent of rain and the faint hum of life returning to balance. Below the hill stretched a world reborn. Cities glowing gently, forests alive again, rivers running clear. Humanity had survived. And not just survived, but changed.Emily came up the hill behind him, her steps slow but steady. She came with their son, now a bright-eyed boy who clung to every word, staring at the horizon like it was made just for him.Benjamin turned and smiled. “He’s getting taller,” he said softly.Emily chuckled. “That’s what happens when you feed him like a grown man.”Their son giggled and reached toward Benjamin. “Dad!”That small voice b

Benjamin stood by the wide window of their home, staring at the rolling hills beyond the rebuilt city. It was peaceful, yes, but he knew peace was a fragile thing. Still, this morning wasn’t about battles or cosmic systems. This morning was about his son.Leo was five now. He was curious, sharp-eyed, and full of that quiet intensity Benjamin once had when he was young. His name was Leo. Benjamin turned when he heard small footsteps behind him. “Dad,” Leo said, holding up a small device he had built out of spare metal scraps and wires. “I made something.”Benjamin crouched down, smiling softly. “What is it this time?”Leo frowned, thinking hard. “I don’t know yet. It listens to light. I think it might talk back if I fix the last part.”Benjamin chuckled. The boy’s imagination was boundless, but what amazed him more was how he understood things without being taught. He could take apart old systems, rewire broken data panels, and speak about energy flow like he had lived through Benjami

Five years had passed since the last great battle. The world had changed, and so had Benjamin Moore and Emily. They were no longer the warriors constantly fighting for survival; they were leaders, parents, and builders of a world reborn from chaos. The scars of the past still existed, but they had softened over time like old wounds that no longer hurt when touched, only reminded them of how far they had come. The morning sun rose over the rebuilt city of Meridian, now known as the Heart of the New World. It wasn’t just a city anymore; it was the symbol of what humanity could become when given another chance. Buildings of living glass shimmered with soft colors, powered by clean energy drawn from the remnants of the Elder Relics. People walked the streets with peace in their eyes. The air was clear, the rivers ran blue again, and laughter had returned to the soundscape of daily life.Benjamin stood on the balcony of their home, watching the horizon. It was the pause before something greater, something heavier.Benjamin Moore stood at the edge of the rebuilt capital, which used to be New Avalon, looking down at the city below. From this height, he could see people moving about, rebuilding homes, planting new gardens, and laughing in the streets. The air was filled with the faint hum of new life beginning again. He stood still for a long time, feeling the gentle wind against his skin. It carried the scent of renewal, of earth and iron and a little smoke. It was beautiful. It was real. But he wasn’t the same man who had helped build this peace. When he finally turned around, Emily was standing a few steps away, watching him with that familiar look, the mix of warmt

The world had finally gone quiet. For the first time in what felt like forever, Benjamin Moore stood on the balcony of the Celestial Citadel and didn’t feel the sky cracking open or the ground rumbling under his feet. The stars above him looked peaceful again, not flickering with interference from the Original System, not trembling with cosmic data storms. Just stars. Distant, silent, and beautiful.Emily stood beside him, her hand resting gently on his arm. She had that calm, thoughtful look that always grounded him. For a few minutes, they didn’t speak. They didn’t need to. The air itself carried the relief of victory, but underneath it, Benjamin could already sense the tension, the unspoken understanding that this peace would not last.“I can’t remember the last time the night was this quiet,” Emily said softly.Benjamin smiled faintly. “Probably before everything started falling apart.”She turned toward him. “Do you think it’s over? The System… the war?”He looked up at the sky a

They couldn’t explain it, but they felt it deep in their bones. Reality itself was holding its breath.Benjamin stood on a quiet hill outside the city, the wind moving through his hair.
