Benjamin and Amanda rushed into the room, where a young girl lay on the hospital bed, barely in condition.

The doctors surrounding her wore grim expressions, clearly at a loss. They’d tried everything, but nothing worked.

On the other side of the bed, a tall, striking woman held the girl’s hand.

“Oh! I recognize her!” Amanda whispered urgently into Benjamin’s ear, her voice barely audible but filled with surprise.

“That’s the daughter of my dad’s friend. I know her. I thought she was the one who needed medical help. But now it looks like it’s her daughter.”

Benjamin followed Amanda’s gaze, his eyes landing on the woman in question.

Her name was Eileen Fisher, daughter of one of the wealthiest businessmen in the state.

The Fisher family was famous for their numerous businesses and their link to the state's mineral wells.

And it explained why they had Moonbloom. The rare herb only grew in the deepest parts of mines - places the Fisher family had access to like no one else.

Eileen’d been desperate to find a solution to her daughter’s condition, but nothing seemed to help.

Tears streamed down her face as she whispered a silent prayer.

She barely noticed Benjamin standing nearby, until Amanda approached her.

"How is she doing?" Amanda asked softly.

Eileen wiped her eyes, frustration boiling over.

“I have no idea. These doctors haven’t been able to tell me anything for hours!” She shot a bitter glare at the medical team.

“We are doing our best, Miss Fisher.” One of the doctors replied.

“Your best isn’t good enough! My baby’s dying!” Eileen screamed, her voice breaking.

The little girl jerked in her grip, and Eileen's gaze finally landed on Benjamin.

Her eyes, swollen and filled with tears, still carried the unmistakable presence of a woman born into power—the daughter of a business tycoon.

"You’re the one Mr. Fisher recommended?" Her voice was laced with skepticism. "The so-called man who can cure anyone?"

Disappointment was written all over her face.

"You look too young! What experience could you possibly have with something this serious?”

Amanda sighed a little and explained. "Eileen, Benjamin is a highly qualified medical professional."

"Qualified? What are his credentials? These doctors are trained professionals, and they couldn’t save her. What makes him any different?” Eileen shot back.

Benjamin stood still, letting those two women argue. He wasn’t bothered by the skepticism.

He focused on the girl, knowing she didn’t have much time.

"May I?" Benjamin asked, pulling out his medical kit. Without waiting for an answer, he set it on the cart beside the bed and began examining the girl.

He took a blood sample, inserted it into a small scanner, and waited a few moments for the results.

During the time, he checked her eyes, and then he quickly monitored her heart rate, right before he checked her tongue and fingers.

The machine beeped softly. The results on the machine confirmed his suspicion.

"She has been poisoned." Benjamin’s face hardened.

"What? " Eileen blurted out in disbelief.

"It is a rare chemical. It dissolves quickly into the blood within minutes after it’s taken. How many blood tests did the hospital run?" He replied asking her.

"A couple, but nobody ever came up with this." She replied, looking at him warily.

“I’ll bet she’s been throwing up yellowish liquids, her eyes dilate, she’s weak, and then spasms hit. Blood comes out of her nose too, right?”

Benjamin asked, his gaze fixed on the girl.

Eileen stared at him surprised. He was right—he knew all this without even looking at the medical records.

"I need to start treatment now, or she might not make it. “Benjamin said, already moving to prepare.

But just as he was about to begin, the door swung open. A tall, handsome man in a doctor’s coat walked in.

Eileen’s face lit up, and Benjamin tensed.

He knew the man. His jaw clenched as he set down his tools.

“Dr. Evans,” Eileen said, relief flooding her voice. “Thank you for coming.”

Dr. Antonio Evans grinned, walking in like he owned the place.

"I came as soon as I heard. Had to cut my vacation short in Paris." He flashed a cocky smile.

Then, his eyes landed unsurprisingly on Benjamin and his eyes widened with amusement.

“Well, well, what do we have here?” Antonio smirked. “Benjamin Moore. What a surprise! After that embarrassing exit, I didn’t expect to see you around.”

Benjamin merely rolled his eyes. He wasn’t interested in the petty jabs.

This flashy man, Antonio, had once been one of Emily’s suitors too.

Nothing brought him more joy than seeing Benjamin fail—spectacularly.

“I heard Emily announced her engagement,” Antonio said, his voice dripping with mockery.

“And surprise, surprise, it’s not you. Shocking, really. Then again, what did she ever see in a worthless loser like you?”

He smirked, clearly relishing every word.

“And what are you doing here now? Pretending to be a doctor again?”

“Don’t worry, I’ll handle this case. You can head home.”

“Of course, you can stay and watch me work. You might learn something.”

He shoved Benjamin aside and quickly examined Eileen’s daughter.

“It’s just an allergic reaction!” he declared.

Without hesitation, Antonio prepared to inject epinephrine.

Benjamin’s heart pounded. His eyes widened as he instinctively reached out to stop him.

“She’s not having an allergic reaction!” he said urgently. “Her body is already under stress—if you inject that, she’ll die!”

Antonio scoffed, his lips curling into a smirk.

“Are you questioning me?” he sneered. “Or do you just not want to see her get better? Are you all talk?”

“I trust Dr. Antonio,” Eileen interrupted, “He’s been our family doctor for years!”

Antonio shot Benjamin a smug glance before pressing the syringe into the little girl’s arm.

But the moment the epinephrine entered her system, her body convulsed.

Her breathing turned shallow, nearly stopped.

The sky above the world was calm again. For the first time in what felt like forever, there were no strange ripples, no distortions in the air, no flickering stars hinting at another incoming threat. Just peace. Real, honest peace.Benjamin stood on the same hill where his journey had started years ago. The wind brushed through his hair, soft and warm, carrying the scent of rain and the faint hum of life returning to balance. Below the hill stretched a world reborn. Cities glowing gently, forests alive again, rivers running clear. Humanity had survived. And not just survived, but changed.Emily came up the hill behind him, her steps slow but steady. She came with their son, now a bright-eyed boy who clung to every word, staring at the horizon like it was made just for him.Benjamin turned and smiled. “He’s getting taller,” he said softly.Emily chuckled. “That’s what happens when you feed him like a grown man.”Their son giggled and reached toward Benjamin. “Dad!”That small voice b

Benjamin stood by the wide window of their home, staring at the rolling hills beyond the rebuilt city. It was peaceful, yes, but he knew peace was a fragile thing. Still, this morning wasn’t about battles or cosmic systems. This morning was about his son.Leo was five now. He was curious, sharp-eyed, and full of that quiet intensity Benjamin once had when he was young. His name was Leo. Benjamin turned when he heard small footsteps behind him. “Dad,” Leo said, holding up a small device he had built out of spare metal scraps and wires. “I made something.”Benjamin crouched down, smiling softly. “What is it this time?”Leo frowned, thinking hard. “I don’t know yet. It listens to light. I think it might talk back if I fix the last part.”Benjamin chuckled. The boy’s imagination was boundless, but what amazed him more was how he understood things without being taught. He could take apart old systems, rewire broken data panels, and speak about energy flow like he had lived through Benjami

Five years had passed since the last great battle. The world had changed, and so had Benjamin Moore and Emily. They were no longer the warriors constantly fighting for survival; they were leaders, parents, and builders of a world reborn from chaos. The scars of the past still existed, but they had softened over time like old wounds that no longer hurt when touched, only reminded them of how far they had come. The morning sun rose over the rebuilt city of Meridian, now known as the Heart of the New World. It wasn’t just a city anymore; it was the symbol of what humanity could become when given another chance. Buildings of living glass shimmered with soft colors, powered by clean energy drawn from the remnants of the Elder Relics. People walked the streets with peace in their eyes. The air was clear, the rivers ran blue again, and laughter had returned to the soundscape of daily life.Benjamin stood on the balcony of their home, watching the horizon. It was the pause before something greater, something heavier.Benjamin Moore stood at the edge of the rebuilt capital, which used to be New Avalon, looking down at the city below. From this height, he could see people moving about, rebuilding homes, planting new gardens, and laughing in the streets. The air was filled with the faint hum of new life beginning again. He stood still for a long time, feeling the gentle wind against his skin. It carried the scent of renewal, of earth and iron and a little smoke. It was beautiful. The world had finally gone quiet. For the first time in what felt like forever, Benjamin Moore stood on the balcony of the Celestial Citadel and didn’t feel the sky cracking open or the ground rumbling under his feet. The stars above him looked peaceful again, not flickering with interference from the Original System, not trembling with cosmic data storms. Just stars. Distant, silent, and beautiful.Emily stood beside him, her hand resting gently on his arm. She had that calm, thoughtful look that always grounded him. For a few minutes, they didn’t speak. They didn’t need to. The air itself carried the relief of victory, but underneath it, Benjamin could already sense the tension, the unspoken understanding that this peace would not last.“I can’t remember the last time the night was this quiet,” Emily said softly.Benjamin smiled faintly. “Probably before everything started falling apart.”She turned toward him. “Do you think it’s over? The System… the war?”He looked up at the sky a

The sky wasn’t just dark that day, it was alive. Colors Benjamin had never seen before rippled through the air like torn fabric. Each color carried a hum, a vibration that touched everything and everyone in their new world. People stopped and looked up, sensing that something enormous was about to happen. They couldn’t explain it, but they felt it deep in their bones. Reality itself was holding its breath.Benjamin stood on a quiet hill outside the city, the wind moving through his hair. His body glowed faintly, a mixture of gold and silver light weaving through his veins. Since his Ascension, he didn’t need to breathe, eat, or rest, but he still did not out of necessity, but habit.
