Chapter 1: The Death Island

The waves crashing against the reef alternated rapidly due to the strong winds on the coastline of Hongye suburb. The one remaining prominent rock on the shore was being battered by the waves. The scene was not much different from that of a child who was cornered by dozens of adults on the shoreline.

"Hahaha... where are you going kid? There's nowhere for you to escape from here. Behind you is the ocean. On the other side is Death Demon Island. And here we are ready to chop you up! The Liong family's lineage will end here!"

An eight-year-old child, surrounded by dozens of sword-wielding adult men, was cornered on the shore. He was about to be finished off by those around him. The sea was the only way out. But the currents and winds of the moment must have brought him to a much-feared island, Death Demon Island.

Liong Yun was the boy's name. He looked back, then sighed heavily. In his mind, no matter how small the chance of life, he would take it. His father's last words just before he was slaughtered were still ringing in his ears. He had to take revenge and eliminate all the sects and clans that had slaughtered his family.

The incident was indeed very tragic. Five sects and seven prominent families came to the Liong family residence. Liong Chen, Liong Yun's father, was accused of stealing the martial arts heirloom. The head of the martial world ordered the warriors to take back the heirloom by force and kill the entire Liong family as punishment.

The head of the martial world was reluctant to intervene. This was because the Liong family was known for their formidable martial arts skills. Even in the martial world, Liong Chen, the leader of the family, is one of the five number one warriors who earned the title of the Five Angels of the Martial World, the Angel of Life.

Finally, a group of formidable people were gathered to carry out the task of the head of the martial world. Liong Chen was asked to return the heirloom. But the chasing angel denied the accusation. He did not feel that he kept the heirloom in question.

Finally, the warriors from the sects and families of the martial world wiped out the entire Liong family. They only succeeded in doing so with a trick that made almost all the family members poisoned. As a result, they were unable to fight to their full potential. The Liong family members' energy was slowly dissipated by the poison in their bodies.

"In the future, you will experience what the Liong family experienced. Ten years from today, death will come to you one by one!" Liong Yun shouted with red, vengeful eyes.

Suddenly, the rain came down with a thunderclap. It was as if nature was angry at what the Liong family had experienced. Some of the besiegers shuddered as they felt nature's wrath.

Remembering how his entire family had been ruthlessly slaughtered, Liong Yun's anger rose again. Without hesitation, he jumped backwards into a canoe. Then, armed with the inner strength he had learned from his father, he pushed forward so that the boat glided quickly.

Hahaha, foolish boy! Death on the island is more terrifying than being chopped up with a thousand swords," said one of the attackers.

Duarrrrr!

A huge wave hit Liong Yun's boat, causing it to break apart. The boy was thrown into the middle of the ocean after being blown up. Everyone on the shore clearly saw what happened to the eight-year-old boy. They shuddered in horror at the tragic fate that befell the child.

"I don't know why I feel bad. It's as if the child's misfortune is the beginning of the destruction of all the associations and families involved in the extermination of the Liong family. Amitabha," sighed a monk involved in the attack.

The warriors of the martial world left the shore. Some of the besiegers had feelings they could not explain. There was a sense of regret for what they had done.

Meanwhile, the fate that befell Liong Yun was not entirely a misfortune. Fate had not willed Liong Yun to end up at sea. Instead, the water brought him to the shore of an island. Slowly, the man lying down began to open his eyes.

"Where am I?" "Am I already in hell?"

Liong Yun looked around him. His guts took flight after knowing where he was at the moment. He knew it was a place that everyone feared. An island called Death Island. But that fear only momentarily possessed his feelings; a greater sense of vengeance overcame his soul.

The boy then got up. He slowly walked towards the path into the island. Indeed, after the coast, the island was only visible from the outside with dense trees. There was only one path to enter the island.

'ENTER WITH VEXATION TO BECOME A DEMON, ENTER WITH FEAR TO BECOME A CORPSE.'

"I won't become a corpse." "I'd rather become a demon so I can avenge my family!"

Liong Yun shouted. The eight-year-old boy already bore a great burden of vengeance. He fearlessly entered the path that lay before him.

As Liong Yun began to enter the interior of the island, he saw a bright light that stood out among the darkness of the jungle-covered island. He made that point of light his destination. Several times he winced in pain as he was stepped on by thorny stones or bitten by animals. Because of the darkness of the place, he did not know what animals had bitten him.

The boy continued to walk with what was left of his strength and spirit. Occasionally, he fell and felt the animals below immediately attack him. Only by sweeping with his hands did he try to ward off the animals that crawled on his body. Animals were biting him everywhere he went.

Liong Yun's condition was getting worse. He felt his vision begin to blur. It was certain that the animals attacking him were venomous.

Eventually, the boy arrived at the place where the light he saw earlier was. It turned out that the light came from a cave located right in the center of the island. Right in front of the cave, Liong Yun collapsed unconscious.

Moments after Liong Yun became unconscious, it started to rain. The rain was nowhere to be seen, as the sky was covered with large, dense trees. Either from the sky or from another force.

There was something strange about the raindrops hitting Liong Yun's body. All of Liong Yun's wounds slowly began to improve until they were no longer visible. So was the state of his internal injuries. The raindrops had truly healed him.

Liong Yun slowly began to open his eyes. He felt that his body felt very refreshed. He felt very energized. He himself did not understand what was happening. Liong Yun rose up, and in front of the cave he saw an inscription.

'Rise from the dead as the sky chooses. God's Gate is in sight.
