"I come from a time long before the order. In my time there was no magic but we had reached a point where our technology was almost magical.

Men could fly and there was no illness or disability that couldn't be treated. We solved all the global issues such as hunger, war and global warming. In other words, we created Paradise on earth.

It was all good. There was peace, there was harmony and everyone lived a good life. The only things we couldn't find answers to were social problems, the problem of eternal life on earth and a few other question that remained unanswered throughout history. This time was worthy of being called 'the age of Paradise'

No one at the time expected their Paradise to be turned into hell but it did. It did not happened slowly but overnight and it was not a sight one could bear to look at.

The source of our hell was that which we had televised and ridiculed throughout the ages. It was a machine uprising.

In a world where almost everything was technologically made, the chances of escape were very slim. A few people managed to leave the earth's atmosphere but for those of us that were left down on earth, the inevitability of our deaths was assured.

We thought we had taken measures and precautions to avoid such situations but it turned out we didn't take all of them. We searched for the root of the problem but we never found it. No measure seemed to work so I resorted to the extreme.

'The plunderer' A device of my invention that was designed to plunder the technological information of any device and store it in another. Any device that was plundered would revert to the natural state of the raw materials they were made of. Most things would revert to a pile of dust after being plundered so it sounded like a great solution to the machine problem.

It was a great solution but the effect was that we would be back in the stone age which most people wouldn't be able to survive. The other option was to remain in a world where no one would survive so in the end, the plunderer was activated worldwide and the world was reset.

I know nothing about the origin of magic or how I got my powers. All I know is that I woke up a few thousand years after the activation of the plunderer.

Magic was already a normal thing and beast attacks didn't happen as normally as they should. Behind this fortress is is a plane full of immortal beasts that are deemed impossible to tame. I built this fortress to protect the people and then tried to return to my hometown.

I didn't expect a warm welcome but it was still worse than I expected. It was already taken over by the order.

A hiding priest saved us and kept us safe for a while before the order caught up to us. The priest held them back in order for us escape successfully and thankfully, we did.

While I stayed with the priest, he told me something that may have helped me understand the origin of the order. The only logical conclusion I could come to was that they were part of the few that left the earth's atmosphere. The weren't affected by the plunderer so they had superior technology. My greatest question is why they would do such horrendous things to their fellow human beings.

On my way back to the only safe place I knew, my powers malfunctioned and I skipped time again and ended up where you two were.

My greatest joy at the moment is that even as the world has been taken over by these evil tyrants, there are still people fighting against them."

  • Still standing

Of the expectations that the people had, no one expected that a majority of the spectators would be okay with the outcome of the fight. They were sure that what they saw was real, they were sure that what they saw was fair, they were sure that the contestants gave it their all and they were sure that the winner deserved his victory.Even those who didn't support him in the beginning were cheering for him with all their heart, even those who lost their bets because of him rejoiced at the sight. There were many good fighters in the tournament, many who at the wave of their hands would cause marvelous sights but of all the fights in the tournament, Orie had shown them most invigorating. The cheers went on for a while until people in the crowd began to notice that the referee was yet to formally declare a winner. From within the circle came forth a huge bird of prey; a hawk. It appeard to be fully covered in silver. Just by looking at it, one could tell that its beak was harder than a rock and that its claws were as sharp as blades, even its wings didn't seem flying was all they could do. At this point in the battle where pride was being cast aside, the same thought ran through the minds of everyone watching. "NOW THE REAL FIGHT BEGINS" "Go" at this command from Chris, the bird threw itself at Orie with incredible speed. Orie evaded the bird without problem but what came next was quite challenging. After evading an attack from above he found himself facing one from below. Not many can escape such attacks from Chris. He would use the bird to make his opponents dodge in a certain manner, then he would go in for the real attack when their balance had been compromised. It was quite an effective move, but just not for Orie. "How is this possible?" Chris thought to himself as h
