‘What is she upto?’

[Maybe she wants to have her way with you.]

Coyote brushed off the thought and got out of his car, stretching his shoulders, the muscles in his back tight but buzzing with leftover adrenaline. Isabella was already walking ahead, her long legs moving with that casual confidence that always drew attention. She didn’t glance back to check if he was following, she just knew he would.

And she was right.

He grinned to himself and caught up, opening the door and sliding into the passenger seat beside her. The interior smelled like leather and perfume, expensive, clean, and a little intoxicating. Everything about Isabella Cruz was like that. Her chauffeur gave a polite nod before pulling into the stream of city traffic.

For a while, nobody said anything. The only sound was the low sound the engine was making.

Coyote leaned back, turned slightly toward her, his half-smile tugging at his lips.

“Seriously,” he said, “where are you taking me?”

Isabella didn’t answer right away

  • Chapter 74. Racing For Dear Life

Coyote stared right into Ghost's blue eyes with an unreadable expression. “Come on, dude! You can’t do shit to me. Why would you say something like that? This is just a race.”Coyote stood there, his hands shoved into his jacket pockets, watching Ghost pull on a pair of leather fingerless gloves in a slow, deliberate and menacing motion. The gesture was pretty clear even to blind. Ghost’s face was a map of anger and exhaustion, the kind of expression that belonged to a man who had lost more than money. “You took the bread right out of my mouth when you won that race night,” Ghost said, his tone cutting through the noise like broken glass. “And I paid dearly for it. I never lose, Coyote, or whatever the fuck you’re called.”Coyote tilted his head, a grin tugging at his lips. He looked utterly unbothered, maybe even entertained. “Wow,” he said. “Aren’t you too old to be a sore loser?”The smirk wasn’t just arrogance, it was an armor to hide the fear that was rising up his spine. And it

  • Chapter 7. Ghost’s Threats

Isabella kissed Coyote for a while longer as he stood by the window, hands on the glass, as if the grand estate outside could steady him. They made out for a moment until he pulled away from the intense kiss. Isabella blinked, throat wet, thinking maybe he wanted to take off his clothes, but Coyote surprised her. He sat on the bed, shoulders hunched in a quiet way, and looked at his surroundings like he was trying to read it and commit it to memory. He turned his face up to her. "Can I get this house fully in my name? The question fell between them like a small, deliberate weight. Isabella smiled slightly-that soft, almost private smile that spoke of amusement and being touched at the same time-and asked, "Why do you ask this? Are you afraid I might take it away?"[I am always not on the loop with your plans. What are you up to now?]‘Just observe, system. I am about to fully own this house.’[But you can easily use Charisma Boost on her.]‘Shut up and observe.’He glanced at her, and

  • Chapter 71. A Happy Maya

Maya still couldn’t believe any of it actually happened. The night. The way he touched her. The way her body responded like it had been waiting for him all along. She tried to contain her excitement when she was at home and around Himesh. Ever since she told him to back off Coyote, their relationship has become rigid.By the time she made it to work, her heartbeat still hadn’t completely calmed down. The city outside buzzed with its usual chaos, but Maya felt like she was floating through it. Every step to the EMT building felt lighter, like gravity had let her off the hook.Inside the staff locker room, she tried to act normal, she tried to keep that quiet grin off her face as she pulled her hair into a bun and changed into her navy-blue uniform. She was halfway through tying her shoelaces when someone crept up behind her.“Girl,” a familiar voice whispered dramatically, “you are trending.”Maya jumped and turned. “Jesus, Brienne!”Brienne was grinning wide, holding up her phone like

  • Chapter 70. Interview Gone Wrong II

Coyote didn’t look at her right away. He picked up a bottle of water from the table, unscrewed the cap slowly, and took a sip.[But seriously, dude, what was that about?]“I was just being honest,” he said finally.“Honest?” Isabella’s voice trembled with barely contained fury. “You were supposed to deflect, not confess your entire soul on live TV! You just admitted to feuding with one of the biggest stars in motorsports, and then brought up the most scandalous rumor in your history! Something we are trying to move on from.”Coyote shrugged. “They were going to bring it up sooner or later. I’d rather they hear it from me now. Confronting these vultures with the horrible thing they did to me is quite therapeutic.”[Okay, I see it now. But you would need Charisma Boost to charm everyone.]‘You are right. Activate it now.’[Charisma Boost activated.]“Jesus, Coyote.” She rubbed her temples, pacing in front of him. “It might be therapeutic for you now, but do you have any idea how hard I’

  • Chapter 69. Interview Gone Wrong

The lights were blinding, white, harsh, and hot. Coyote sat under them, the faint hum of the studio filling his ears. Cameras rolled, red lights blinked, and a woman in a fitted navy blazer smiled too perfectly across from him. Her name was Clara Dane, senior sports presenter for Ethos Sports Network (ESN), known for her ability to make athletes either charm the audience, or hang themselves live on air.“Welcome back, viewers,” she said smoothly, her voice warm but sharp at the edges. “Joining me today is the man everyone’s talking about, Coyote Watkins. Coyote, congratulations on your big comeback win last night.”Coyote flashed a grin. “Thank you, Clara. It feels good to be back in the spotlight for the right reasons.”She laughed politely. “Yes, and speaking of spotlights… You were photographed last night leaving a restaurant with a mystery woman. Social media is buzzing. Who is she?”Coyote’s jaw tightened slightly, though he kept the smile. He could still hear Isabella’s words ec
