Volume 1. Chapter 6 Disappointed Of Hero

Not long after, Mansa turned his head and looked at a tree five meters away from them.

"It's no use hiding behind the tree...I can still see you."

Mansa was surprised to see a figure coming out from behind the tree. Cindy, who saw the small child, immediately approached him.

"What you doing here? Where the others?” Cindy reprimanded the child.

“You know him?” Mansa wanted to make sure that the two women they were helping knew the child.

"We know him," Cindy told Mansa the truth.

“Your name is Una, right? Are you an immigrant from another kingdom?” Erick is still very curious about Una, who is similar to Nia.

“I come from the village of Filn, and migrated to the city of Norf to become an adventurer,” Una told Erick.

"But, isn't Nia Aghture one of the people who disappeared?" Sara became curious about Erick's words.

“That's right, seeing Una caught a glimpse of Nia.”

They were surprised by a group of merchants, Cindy told them that she and Una were carrying out a request as bodyguards by the merchant.

Grit, the group of heroes, Una, Cindy, and the three small children rested in the village for three hours.

“Eli, we're back.” Una opened the guild door, but she didn't find Elia.

"She's not here..." With a heavy breath, Cini told Una.

“Why are you guys so tired?” Cindy wondered what made them so tired.

“We just defeated the monsters near the Laindorf River,” Rii told the two of them.

"Miss Cindy, do you know them?" Erick was curious.

"They are the people I talked about on the trip..." Cindy reminded and told Erick again.

“From the looks of it and from the stories you told, they seem tough.” Nita assesses Rii, Cini, and Vail from her perspective.

“We don't know what the friend said— ” Cini stopped talking, because the hero looked at him with the same gaze as before.

“Hero, don't stare at someone we just met like that,” Erick asked Mansa not to bother Cini, Rii, and Vail.

“I'm sorry, it's just…I feel like we've met before.”

"What do you say? We just met now.” Rii tried to remain as hidden as possible.

“Enough, hero...don't make a small problem a big one. Our goal here is just to stop by for a while." Nita intervened and reminded them of their purpose again.

"Your goal?"

“Our real goal—”

The sound of the doorbell rang again.

“Rii, Cini, Vail…I brought recovery potions--”

"Brother?!"

Elia was surprised to see Erick in this city, especially with his new friend. Thanks to that, Rii, Cini, and Vail felt like they had been helped by Elia for the second time.

“Long time no see, Elia.” Erick was happy to see that his younger brother was healthy.

“Elia, this person is your brother?” Cindy wanted to confirm this.

"Not by blood, I consider Erick an older brother because he was the oldest when we were in the same orphanage," Elia told Cindy that Erick and Elia were in the same orphanage.

"I thought you were the only child of the guild master..." Cini just realized this.

“The guild master is the one who nurtured and gave new names to the two of us.” Erick further told them all not to misunderstand.

“Elia, what is guild master here?” Erick wanted to greet his adoptive father.

"The guild master in his room," Elia told Erick.

“Elia, they are my new friends. Mr hero is called Mansa from another world. Then these two women are Nita and Sara, they are adventurers and they are both sisters."

After Erick introduced them to Elia. He also introduced Elia to Nita, Sara, and Mansa.

In the middle of the conversation, a familiar voice began to be heard from Erick's ears from the stairs.

“Long time no see, guild master…or do I need to call you father?” Erick was very happy to see his adoptive father, who was still healthy even though he was so old.

“You still haven't changed from last time, Erick.”

“Guild master, he is hero Mansa.”

“Hero, he is the guild master of this city called Eblo. And he is my adoptive father.”

Erick introduced the two of them to each other, Eblo

“Regarding the hero's arrival, we guild masters already know about it. But it was unexpected that the person who became a hero was still so young, and the same age as Elia.” Eblo or Guild master praises the hero.

“I welcome you all, come up to my room…we will have a drink together.” Eblo invites the hero and his group to enjoy wine together.

Not only Vail but also Cini and Rii refused Eblo's invitation to drink. The others went with Eblo to his room to discuss the past and turned their meeting into a father-and-son reunion.

"It's a shame, the three of them don't want to come..." Erick, who was already drunk, started to say what was on his mind.

“Hydroxyl or minus OH is attached to a carbon atom, and can be found in intoxicating drinks.”

They were impressed that Mansa knew this, and Eblo praised the hero's intelligence.

“The three of them said that to you?” Mansa wanted to confirm what he already suspected.

Mansa looked at Una, he realized. If Una could be the Nia Aghture that Erick told him about.

Mansa goes out looking for Vail, Rii, and Cini to ask them for clarity...

“For now, think of a way to avoid his suspicion.” Vail proposed a suggestion to Rii and Cini.

"Like--"

“It turns out I was right…”

They are surprised the hero was behind and caught them.

“What do you want a hero?” Rii tries to negotiate.

“Why are you hiding instead of helping?” Mansa says all his annoyance, and restrains himself from getting angry.

“What makes you so sure? We are called people?” Cini tried to make sure.

"Cindy and Una were the ones who said this, prohibiting you from drinking alcohol," Mansa tells him.

"People from this world don't know what alcohol is and its explanation, but Una and Cindy know that and that's from you."

"Then, is it true...Una is Nia Aghture?"

Mansa let out everything in his head, and his last words asked them for clarity to tell whether Nia was still alive, and whether it was Una.

Cini said that if what he said was true, Una was indeed Nia Aghture...

Mansa is disappointed and angry with the three of them, who do not have a sense of responsibility towards the world.

"Impossible, expecting the three of them to wake up this early," Una tells them that they never wake up early.

After Una said that, Rii, Vail, and Cini went downstairs and seemed to want to leave. Una asks where they are going, Vail tells her that they have already taken Ronet's request to help.
