The scalding heat radiating from the amulet against his chest was so intense that the agony in his shattered ribs seemed to go completely numb. Lying in the dark, freezing puddle of mud, Calvin Hudson felt his heart hammer violently, synchronized with the sharp cracks of lightning that split the sky above the city of Bacca.

[Ding!]

A cold, mechanical voice, echoing with an ancient and sovereign resonance, suddenly reverberated directly inside the center of his consciousness. It did not enter through his ears; rather, it vibrated from the very depths of his soul.

[Detecting the pure bloodline of the Hudson family. The rightful heir has been identified. Activating the family heirloom: Sovereign Phoenix Amulet.]

[Synchronizing with host soul... 10%... 50%... 100%.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host. The "Divine Medical System" has been successfully and permanently bound to your soul.]

Calvin gasped, his eyes—previously blurred by a mixture of blood and rainwater—snapping wide open. The burning heat from the amulet suddenly transformed into a torrent of pure, warm energy, rushing through his veins like a tidal wave. He could actually feel every single inch of his broken body being systematically reconstructed from within.

[Detecting physical trauma to the Host: Three fractured ribs, a severe fracture in the right wrist, internal organ bleeding from blunt force trauma, and acute hypothermia.]

[Commencing automatic restoration using basic-tier pure Qi energy...]

Crack! Snap!

The unsettling sound of bones shifting and fusing back together echoed within the narrow, silent alleyway. Calvin clutched the muddy ground beneath him as an intense, tingling warmth replaced the agonizing torture that had consumed him seconds ago. Within moments, his shallow, bloody gasps turned into deep, incredibly powerful breaths. He pushed himself off the ground. This time, his wrists didn't buckle. He stood perfectly upright in the middle of the pouring storm, feeling a surge of raw physical vitality he had never possessed in his entire life.

"What... what is this?" Calvin murmured, staring down at his palms. They were completely clear of bruises. His skin looked vibrant, and his muscles pulsed with a rhythmic, foreign energy.

[Ding! The Divine Medical System is a repository of ancient medical lore and energy cultivation accumulated by the ancestors of the Hudson family over thousands of years. As the Host has unlocked the seal, you are granted a Starter Package:]

[1. "God’s Gaze" — The ultimate diagnostic and sensory ability. Allows the Host to see through physical objects, track energy flows, and scan any disease or poison within seconds.]

[2. "Nine Yin-Yang Needle Technique" — Instant, master-level comprehension of a legendary acupuncture technique capable of defying fate and reclaiming life from the jaws of death.]

[3. A foundation-tier circulation of pure Qi inside your dantian.]

In an instant, an overwhelming wave of information flooded Calvin’s brain. Millions of ancient medical recondite formulas, the exact layout of human meridian pathways, and the incredibly complex methods of manipulating acupuncture needles etched themselves into his memory as if he had been practicing them for a century.

Calvin closed his eyes briefly to stabilize his head, which throbbed from the sudden influx of knowledge. When he reopened them, his perception of the world had transformed entirely. He could see individual raindrops falling slightly slower. When he looked at the brick wall ahead, his vision pierced through the surface, mapping out the internal stress fractures in the concrete.

God's Gaze... it's real!

Suddenly, a terrifying realization struck his mind like a lightning bolt.

Elara!

Calvin frantically pulled out his phone, its screen shattered into a spiderweb pattern. The digital clock in the corner read 11:02 PM. He had less than an hour before the administration at Bacca Central Hospital pulled the plug on his little sister.

"Julian Sterling... Tiffany Vance..." Calvin whispered the names, his voice dropping to a temperature so sub-zero that the ambient rainwater around him almost seemed to freeze. "You want my sister dead just to satisfy your petty arrogance? I swear, from this moment on, your lives will become a living hell."

Without wasting another second, Calvin pivoted and bolted toward the main road. His current running speed was entirely superhuman. Thanks to the pure Qi circulating through his legs, each stride propelled him forward by several meters, leaving high plumes of muddy water in his wake. He moved like a spectral shadow beneath the dim streetlights of Bacca.

Meanwhile, inside the VIP Intensive Care Unit on the 7th floor of Bacca Central Hospital.

The atmosphere inside the sterile, chemical-scented room was suffocatingly tense. On a luxury medical bed surrounded by advanced monitoring equipment lay a seventeen-year-old girl. Elara Hudson looked incredibly frail, as if a sharp gust of wind could shatter her into dust. Faint, dark purplish-black veins branched out subtly beneath the skin of her neck—the unmistakable mark of the post-war genetic toxin eating away at her internal organs.

Outside the glass partition of the room, two middle-aged men in white coats stood conversing with cold, indifferent expressions. One was Dr. Harrison, the head physician of the VIP ward. Beside him stood a stern-faced representative from Sterling Pharmaceuticals.

"Dr. Harrison, have all the funding termination documents been fully processed?" the Sterling representative asked, checking his expensive watch.

"Everything is taken care of, sir," Dr. Harrison replied, showing absolutely no remorse. "Per Young Master Julian's explicit instructions, at exactly midnight, we will cut off the oxygen flow and halt the administration of the vital nutrient fluids to patient Elara Hudson." To a man like Harrison, in a ruthless city like Bacca, the lives of the poor who couldn't pay were nothing more than meaningless statistics.

"Excellent. Young Master Julian does not want any complications or lingering loose ends from the Hudson family disrupting his comfort now that the marriage contract is dissolved. Ensure her passing looks entirely like natural organ failure caused by her condition," the representative continued with a sinister smile.

"You don't need to worry about that. Without the specialized suppressant drugs manufactured by Sterling Pharmaceuticals, the genetic toxin in her system is guaranteed to compromise her cardiac function within minutes once the machines are offline. Even a deity of medicine wouldn't be able to deduce that we accelerated the timeline," Dr. Harrison stated with absolute confidence.

Through the glass window, they both stared at Elara’s helpless form, counting down the final minutes of a tragic girl's life, completely unaware that a devastating storm was tearing toward the hospital at breaking speeds.

Beep… Beep… Beep…The steady, rhythmic sound of the auxiliary heart monitor sliced through the stunned silence of the ICU like a scalpel. The long, agonizing death-wail that had filled the room just moments ago was entirely gone.Dr. Lin looked up at the digital dashboard, his glasses sliding down his nose. His eyes widened to the size of saucers. "Dr. Harrison… look at the arterial pressure. 120 over 80. It’s… it’s a textbook perfect reading!""Shut up! That’s impossible!" Dr. Harrison scrambled off the floor, his face twisted in utter disbelief. He shoved Lin aside, lunging toward the primary medical terminal. He slammed his palms onto the desk, staring at the surging green lines. "The brain waves! Look at the EEG tracker! The cellular hypoxia is reversing! This defies every law of modern biochemistry!""Look at her face, Doctor," Calvin said. His voice was calm, though his chest heaved slightly from the massive expenditure of his internal Qi. He stood over Elara's bed, his hand sti

The heavy reinforced glass door of the VIP Intensive Care Unit shattered inward as Calvin threw the last tactical guard through it. The guard slid across the polished floor, groaning in pain, completely incapacitated."What is the meaning of this?!" Dr. Harrison roared, jumping back from Elara’s bed. He was clutching a tablet containing the termination paperwork. "Security! Get this lunatic out of here!"Calvin stepped into the sterile room, his drenched clothes steaming slightly from the pure *Qi* radiating from his skin. In his right hand, he held a cheap, paper-wrapped pack of thirty-six standard acupuncture needles he had grabbed from the hospital's ground-floor pharmacy counter."Step away from my sister, Harrison," Calvin said, his voice dropping to a dangerous, sub-zero temperature."Are you insane?!" Dr. Lin, the junior physician, shrieked from the corner. "This is a sterile VIP environment! You can't just barge in here with... with cheap street trash needles! She is clinicall

The rainfall felt like shattered glass against his face, but Calvin Hudson didn’t care. His legs were a blur of superhuman motion, each stride covering ten yards as the pure Qi in his dantian burned like an internal engine."System!" Calvin roared into his mind as he sprinted past the blurry city lights. "How much time does Elara have left?!"[Ding! Warning: Target Elara Hudson’s vital systems are rapidly destabilizing. Host has precisely four minutes and twelve seconds before cellular brain death occurs. Accelerating internal Qi flow to lower limbs.]"Faster!" Calvin hissed, his boots tearing up chunks of asphalt as he practically flew toward Bacca Central Hospital.Inside the 7th-floor VIP Intensive Care Unit, the atmosphere was dead silent, save for the hum of a ventilation fan. Dr. Harrison stood over Elara’s bed, his hand resting on the main power breaker of the life-support module. Beside him, a junior doctor, Dr. Lin, trembled violently."Dr. Harrison... are we really doing thi

Marcus's laughter died instantly. His brow furrowed. "What... what do you mean?" "Look at your left palm, Marcus," Calvin pointed. "The base of your thumb. Is there a faint, greenish-black line running toward your wrist?" Marcus instinctively looked down at his left hand. His breath hitched. A thin, sickly green line was indeed tracing its way along his vein. "This... this is just a minor bruise! I bumped it at the airport earlier!" "It's not a bruise," Calvin said, taking another step closer, entirely unfazed by the poison bottle. "That is the Abyssal Ash mutation path. It has already compromised thirty percent of your lower pulmonary lobe. Every time you smoke that expensive cigar, you are accelerating the cellular degradation. In less than three minutes, that line will reach your wrist. And when it does..." Calvin paused, his eyes narrowing. "Your lungs will literally begin to liquefy from the inside out." "Liar! You're just bluffing so I'll drop the bottle!" Marcus yelle

The storm howled outside the derelict warehouse, but inside, the air was suffocatingly hot. The click of twelve assault rifles taking off their safeties echoed like a chorus of death. "Fire!" Marcus Vance screamed, his voice cracking with a mixture of terror and desperate rage. "Kill him! Leave nothing but blood!" "Master!" Vivian Nightshade moved to step in front of him. "Stay back, Vivian," Calvin said, his voice dropping to a calm, icy register. "I've got this." A wall of lead erupted from the weapons, the muzzle flashes illuminating the dark, grime-covered walls of the warehouse. Vivian didn't even flinch. She stood perfectly still behind Calvin, her hands folded neatly in front of her. Because she knew. Calvin didn't draw a weapon. He didn't even take his hands out of his pockets. Instead, his eyes flashed with a blinding, golden-crimson light. The Divine Medical System roared within his soul, and the pure Qi in his dantian surged outward like a tidal wave. Voom—

The torrential rain that had battered the city of Bacca all night finally began to recede, leaving behind a cold, damp mist that clung to the asphalt. As the first pale rays of dawn broke through the heavy cloud cover, a fleet of pristine, midnight-black luxury sedans pulled up to the entrance of the Nightshade Tower—the crown jewel of the city’s financial district. The lead car’s door opened, and Calvin Hudson stepped out. His custom-tailored suit was immaculate, completely untouched by the elements. Walking half a step behind him was Vivian Nightshade, holding a sleek leather briefcase, her expression a mix of absolute professionalism and deep respect."Master Hudson," Vivian said as they stepped into the private, high-security elevator that led directly to the penthouse suite. "The liquidation of the Vance family assets is proceeding exactly as scheduled. By noon today, their villa, their luxury vehicles, and their remaining domestic accounts will be fully seized by our legal team.
