Benjamin washed the dishes, then the clothes, and then he polished the shoes before finally coming to Rebecca’s room. It was nine at the time.

The others had dinner, but he didn’t.

“Why didn’t you eat dinner?” he asked her.

“Didn’t feel like it,” she said while drawing dancing dinosaur designs.

“They look cute, though they’re not real,” Benjamin said.

“Dinosaurs are real,” she replied. “The scientists found bones of these beasts in many parts of the world.”

“Well, those were the bones of the giants and dragons and other beasts, but not the dinosaurs which are nothing but fiction,” Benjamin said.

“Fictional, you say…” Rebecca scrutinized his eyes. “Why do you sound so sure?”

“Because I’m speaking the truth.”

“Huh, you can’t give a better answer than that, can you?”

“Not right now, but one day, I will show you the truth,” he replied. “Hopefully.” As he observed her drawings, he understood that she was mixing three concepts. “So you are working on dinosaurs, outerspace, and the mafia.”
