The entire city of Marlowe was in turmoil.

The wealthy Blackwood family had issued a hefty reward for information on the whereabouts of Smith Kane.

The entire police force of the city's public security bureau was mobilized, investigating every suspicious location, and the sound of police sirens could be heard throughout the streets.

What was even more frightening was that even the army had been deployed.

All the outbound traffic routes of Marlowe were blocked, and all vehicles leaving the city were inspected one by one.

Armored transport vehicles drove into Marlowe one after another, and soldiers armed with live ammunition were deployed in several areas of Marlowe to conduct a search.

Then they converged one by one, ensuring that no corner was missed.

The bewildered citizens of Marlowe were all in a panic, speculating on what had happened.

Rumors were flying everywhere.

In the suburbs of Marlowe.

Several strong men were wielding shovels and digging holes.

"Silas, what the hell is Boss and Second Young Master doing? We just got back to Marlowe, and instead of taking us out to have some fun, they brought us to this godforsaken place to dig holes. Are they looking for some treasure or something?" A Scruffy, yellow-haired man asked the burly man next to him.

The man lifted his head, revealing a face scarred by a terrifying wound, and spat, "Yellow Hair, why do you talk so much? Just dig when you're told to dig. What does it matter what Second Young Master wants to do? Do you really need an explanation?" As he spoke, a jeep sped towards them.

The car door opened, and Ambrose, with a black face, lifted a delicate-looking woman out of the car.

Silas quickly dropped the shovel in his hand and greeted Jayden, "Brother Ambrose, you're here." But Ambrose ignored him and casually threw the woman on the ground next to the pit.

Everyone finally understood that they were going to dispose of the body.

Ambrose stood in front of the pit, looking at the shallow depth of the hole, his brow furrowed with obvious anger.

Silas quickly stepped forward to persuade him, "Brother Ambrose, don't be angry. Wait a moment, we'll finish digging soon." After speaking, he ran over and picked up the shovel, urging everyone to work harder.

But Jayden couldn't help but sneak a glance at the delicate-looking woman on the ground.

"Silas, this chick looks pretty good. She seems so gentle and weak. How did she get involved with Brother Ambrose?"

"Shut up!" Silas angrily slammed the shovel into the ground and cursed, "Just dig the hole! If you don't want to die, don't ask so many questions, got it?" Jayden didn't take it seriously and continued to sneak glances at the woman.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his butt and was kicked hard.

Silas scolded, "Stop staring! Can't you see Brother Ambrose's expression? Get back to work! Do you want to be buried with her?"

Jayden looked at Ambrose's dark face and had no choice but to turn his head and continue working hard.

As soon as he thought about it, Brother Silas was his own uncle, and he wouldn't really bury him. He couldn't help but steal a glance at the woman.

But just with that one glance, he was startled. The woman actually opened her eyes and stared straight at him!

"Uncle... Brother Silas, the girl woke up!" Everyone turned to look at the woman when they heard this.

"Brother Silas, what should we do?" Jayden asked.

Silas impatiently replied, "What should we do? Bury her!" With that, he stepped forward, grabbed the woman's collar, and threw her into the pit.

The woman was extremely stubborn, gritting her teeth and not saying a word of softness.

She struggled to climb to the edge of the pit with all her might, but was heartlessly kicked back by Brother Silas.

In no time, the pit was filled up and turned into a small mound. Jayden wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked up at the sky, stretching lazily.

But he found that a helicopter had appeared in the sky at some point.

"Hey, look..."

Everyone followed Jayden's pointing finger. They saw the cabin door open, and a figure stepped out, falling towards the ground like a missile.

Everyone was shocked. Was this person crazy? That was ten thousand meters high!

Wouldn't they fall into a pile of mud like that? But before they could even think about it, the figure had already plunged into the small mound like a bolt of lightning.

Boom!

The whole ground trembled with it.

The figure had smashed a hole in the ground with a diameter of dozens of meters, and the dust raised had obscured the bright sunlight.

Just as everyone was puzzled, the figure that had fallen from the sky emerged unscathed from the smoke and dust, holding the buried woman.

"Salome, wake up, it's me, Lux Arden, I'm here to save you!" Salome's eyes were tightly closed, and there was no sign of life in her body.

Lux Arden frantically took out a silver needle and quickly used the "Return to Heaven Needle" technique.

The powerful aura emanating from his body enveloped the two people tightly. Even the scattered stones around them were shaken and trembling in place.

"Uh..."

After a moment, Salome murmured and woke up. Everyone was stunned by the scene before them.

Falling from ten thousand meters high, yet unscathed. Even the dead could be saved.

Is this Lux Arden still human?

He's like a fairy descending to earth!

"Quick, my sister... she was taken away by Smith Kane, go save her." Salome, who had just woken up, didn't care about her own safety and urged him.

Lux Arden nodded heavily, "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." Just as Lux Arden finished speaking, Salome suddenly turned pale and exclaimed,

"Be careful!"

Several of Joyce's companions joined in with sneers, looking down at Salome with unfriendly eyes. At this moment, Suzzy curiously asked Salome,"Salome, is she an acquaintance of yours?" Salome reluctantly suppressed his displeasure and replied, "Yes, she's a college classmate of mine, in the same major. It's been a long time since we last met." "But it seems like she's not very friendly towards you. Do you have any grudges between you?" Suzzy asked further. Salome hesitated for a moment and replied, "Not really, we just had some competition during the major evaluation in college. She lost to me a few times and was a bit resentful." "l just didn't expect that after all these years, she still holds a grudge." When Suzzy heard this, a strange color flashed in her eyes, and the smile on her face became even more intense and inexplicable. "Okay, the interview is about to begin. You shouldn't chat here anymore. Go and prepare." Suzzy clapped her hands and dispersed the crowd a

Ava was so angry that she couldn't do anything about Amelia's unreasonable behavior. Lux Arden felt a warm feeling in his heart when he heard Ava's concern for his safety. However, to avoid worrying her too much and being blamed for his recklessness after knowing the truth, he decided to lie. "Oh, I was just eager to help save Salome. When the fire brigade arrived, I went to help move the fire equipment. The fire is almost extinguished now, so they didn't need me anymore, and that's why l came back." Ava let out a long sigh, pinched Lux Arden's sleeve that had been burned black, dusted off the smoke on his hair, and relaxed her expression. "You really scared me. I thought you went into the fire alone to save Salome. Do you know how worried I was? I was afraid you wouldn't come back." "Fortunately, Sentinel God King appeared and saved Salome. Now that you're back safely, it's a close call, and I can finally relax a bit." Lux Arden frowned at the mention of "Sentinel God King." He didn't expect everyone to give him such a title. However, he didn't care to

Upon hearing this, Selma frowned slightly and said, "Come on, Mr. Joe, it's nothing serious. Don't make a big deal out of it." Mr. Joe, he housekeeper, retorted with a serious expression, "Miss, how can you say it's not a big deal? You are the young lady of the prestigious Bowen family! You were trapped in a fire and almost died. How can that be considered a small matter?" "Next time, you can't go out alone. You must have bodyguards accompanying you!" "Let's go back to the mansion now. We need to call all the renowned doctors in Marlowe to have a consultation and make sure there are no hidden dangers." The Thompson sisters realized the identity of the stunning woman in front of them. In the entire Marlowe city, only the first family, the Bowen family, could have such a grand scene and casually use a private helicopter. The woman in front of them must be Selma Bowen, the apple of the old patriarch's eye and the Bowen family's young lady who was praised as a goddess by the

Two stunning beauties, with despair on their faces, were driving Lux Arden away, having completely lost the courage to continue the struggle. They were ready to accept their fate calmly. However, Lux Arden frowned and whispered, "Don't give up so easily. We will definitely find a way to escape." The beautiful woman shook her head tearfully and replied, "What else can we do? Jump off the building? It's more than twenty floors high. Even if the fire department puts out safety airbags, it won't help. We are at a dead end." She burst into tears again. However, this simple sentence awakened Lux Arden. Because Ava had once said that she didn't want to be besieged by the media and just wanted to live a peaceful life. Therefore, Lux Arden had been thinking only of rescuing people discreetly, avoiding exposing his identity and using force. But the situation in front of him was extremely critical, and he couldn't afford to hold back anymore. Moreover, with his current appe

Instead, she pushed her to the ground and spat, "You lowly bastard, you still want to fight with me? Just lie here and wait for retribution!" With that, she turned around and walked away in anger. Ava shouted his name hoarsely, as if going crazy, wanting to rush into the fire. Due to the explosion and fireworks, the visibility was extremely limited, a
