His words dropped like a heavy weight on their shoulders as they watched him walk out of the arena.

Mr. Dawson was near the exit, about to intervene and stop the fight before Henry unleashed that final attack, but he was too late. He hadn’t expected Henry to win, so he hadn’t bothered to hire a healer. He couldn’t blame himself though. How could an E-rank mage defeat a B-rank mage?

Impossible. And yet it had just happened.

Henry walked past him. Mr. Dawson turned sharply.

“What did you do? What trick did you use!”

Henry smirked as he looked at him.

“Trick? On a kid? What a joke. He was simply too weak, Dawson. You raised a weak son.”

Mr. Dawson’s fists tightened. For a moment, he imagined wiping the boy off the ground himself, but he couldn’t do that now. He had to attend to his son first before making Henry pay for this humiliation. He rushed toward Derek.

Henry watched him go, a faint smile on his face. He wished he could have humiliated Derek further, but he had already reached his limit. That final attack had drained him completely.

His cheeks lifted slightly as he reflected on what he had achieved with this new power. He needed to take full control of everything the system offered him. Then no one would ever bully him or threaten his family again.

“Henry.”

He turned and saw his father standing there with teary eyes. Mr. Tucker pulled him into a tight embrace.

“You did it, Henry. You won. You defeated him.”

Henry felt his father’s overwhelming joy. This was just the beginning.

He would make his father proud. He would become the strongest mage the world had ever seen. With this power, no one would stand in his way again or dare lay a hand on his family.

“Are you hurt? Are you…”

“I’m fine, Dad. I’m perfectly fine.”

Mr. Tucker slowly released him. Relief washed over him when he confirmed Henry was truly unharmed. Lora soon joined them, her excitement overflowing.

“Brother, you are amazing!”

Henry couldn’t suppress his smile. It had been a long time since he felt this kind of warmth, and he was glad to feel it again today.

They were about to head home when one of Mr. Dawson’s servants rushed toward them.

“Mr. Tucker! Mr. Dawson requests that your family wait at the mansion. He wishes to congratulate your son on his victory.”

Henry’s eyebrows twitched at the words, but he wasn’t afraid in the slightest. Mr. Dawson couldn’t do anything to him or his family now.

“Tell Mr. Dawson that we don’t want his—”

“Dad, let’s go.”

Mr. Tucker froze in surprise. He didn’t understand why Henry would agree. It was obvious Mr. Dawson was planning something. It would be safer to avoid him entirely, especially after humiliating his son.

Henry stepped forward before his father could object.

“He has to congratulate me and honor our agreement.”

Mr. Tucker had no choice but to follow. He knew Mr. Dawson was up to no good, but he also knew arguing with Henry right now was pointless.

When they arrived, they waited outside the mansion. A few minutes later, more than ten men stepped out of the main door. All of them were C-rank mages, each above level five. Their leader, the guardian of the Dawson family, followed behind them.

He was a B-rank earth mage. His aura alone was suffocating.

“What is the meaning of this?” Mr. Tucker asked, his voice trembling with anger.

“Disciplining an employee. That is all this is,” Mr. Dawson replied as he walked out of the mansion.

In his hand, he was dragging Henry’s mother by the neck. He shoved her to the ground the moment everyone’s attention turned to him.

Henry moved forward instantly, but his father grabbed his arm.

“Mr. Dawson, what has my wife done? You can’t treat her like this!”

“Oh yes, I can.”

Mr. Dawson stepped into the center of the circle, facing Mr. Tucker.

“She abandoned her duties to watch her son’s match. Such behavior is not allowed in my house.”

He turned to Mrs. Charlotte.

“For that, I will discipline her in front of all of you.”

Henry’s blood boiled, but he remained aware of the enemies surrounding him. Could he take them all on? And if he failed, his family would suffer even more. He needed to grow stronger.

“Stand up, Mrs. Charlotte.”

She obeyed. She had only stepped away briefly to fetch something, but Mr. Dawson had seen her and assumed she was there for the match.

“I only went to—”

“Silence.”

Mr. Dawson struck her hard across the face. Blood spilled from her nose as his handprint remained clearly visible.

“Who told you to speak? Do you think I am blind?”

“Mr. Dawson…”

“Silence!”

He struck her again. His anger needed an outlet, and she was his target.

“You will pay for defying my rules.”

“Mr. Dawson, I’m sorry, I—”

Before he could strike again, Henry’s voice cut through the air.

“Don’t you dare hit her again.”

His eyes locked onto Mr. Dawson.

“If you do, I will kill you.”

Mr. Dawson burst into laughter. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“Slap.”

He struck Mrs. Charlotte again, then turned back to Henry.

“I just did. What are you going to do now, loser?”

He didn’t finish his sentence.

A sudden pressure crushed the air around him, and he collapsed to the ground, struggling to breathe.

What is this…?

His eyes widened as he looked at Henry.

“Mega Skill: Fire Nova.”

A massive wave of fire erupted, knocking everyone to the ground. A blazing inferno formed a wall around them.

Mr. Dawson’s heart pounded violently. He turned desperately toward Master Charles, hoping for intervention, but to his horror, the guardian was already unconscious near the mansion entrance.

One attack.

That was all it took to bring him down.

Fear gripped Mr. Dawson. Sweat drenched his body instantly. His breathing grew uneven as heavy footsteps approached him.

Henry walked forward, his fists burning with flames that extended up to his arms. The rage inside him amplified the power of his skills.

“I am going to kill you.”

Mr. Dawson scrambled backward on the ground.

“Henry… I’m sorry. Please forgive me!”

Henry let out a cold laugh.

“You should have listened.”

“Mega Skill: Fire Storm!”

Mr. Dawson immediately slammed his head into the ground.

“Please forgive me! I will never do it again!”

Henry stopped mid-cast.

Mr. Dawson had always used his power to abuse his family, especially his mother. And today, he had dared to lay hands on her in front of him.

Henry’s voice turned icy.

“Beg my mother.”

“Or I will burn you to ash.”

Mr. Dawson trembled violently. He turned and knelt before Mrs. Charlotte.

“I’m sorry, Mrs. Charlotte. I won’t ever be foolish or disrespectful again. Please forgive me!”

Mrs. Charlotte was stunned. She couldn’t understand how her son had become this powerful. She had watched him train before, and nothing suggested this level of strength.

Where did this power come from?

“I forgive you, Mr. Dawson. Please think before you act next time.”

“Thank you. Thank you so much.”

Mr. Dawson nodded repeatedly like a broken man. He turned back to Henry, still kneeling.

Henry pointed at him.

“I’m giving you one hour to fulfill our agreement. You will also pay my mother for this harassment. She no longer works for you. And you will give her one year’s salary as a retirement bonus.”

Mr. Dawson couldn’t believe it, but he dared not argue. This boy had defeated his son, destroyed his guards, and even brought down Master Charles with a single attack.

This was no longer the Henry he knew.

“I will get it done immediately.”

He quickly made the transfer while still on his knees—covering Henry’s academy fees and sending over eighty thousand dollars as compensation and salary.

“All done,” he said quietly.

Henry released the flames surrounding them. He stepped forward and grabbed Mr. Dawson by the collar, lifting him slightly off the ground. His voice was cold.

“If I hear even one word that you came near my family… or said anything about them… I swear I will break every bone in your body. Piece by piece. Do you understand?”

Mr. Dawson nodded frantically, trembling with fear. He could feel Henry’s grip crushing his strength completely. He wouldn’t be able to break free even if he tried.

“I understand!”

Henry dropped him to the ground. He could feel the fear radiating from the old man. He would not dare approach his family again.

Henry turned to his family. They were still frozen in shock. He smiled faintly and said,

“Can we go home now?”

There is nowhere you can run to that I can't run to as well.
