Shall We Begin

Everybody was shocked to see Henry, he actually came to the battleground. They thought he was pretending to be sick, so he doesn't fight Derek.

Who in his right sense will fight a B class mage, even a C ranker won't do it, let alone an E ranker.

What a fool.

Henry entered the arena. He face the side Mr. Dawson was sitting.

“You not getting your fetid hands on that land”

Mr. Dawson smiles seeing Henry, he thought he won't get to entertain his guest today. thanks goodness, the worthless boy showed up. He has already asked Derek to make him nearly embrace death, then his father will come beg for hospital bills again, with that, they will work for him freely.

He laughed in his mind. Poor people should know their place, they can never be at the top.

“You should be worried about your match. Do you really think an E rank mage can win a B rank. What a fool!”

Mr. Tucker snatch the microphone from Mr. Dawson. He was happy Henry was alive. He has slept for four days now, he was worried his son refused to wake up, and he had no money to take him to the hospital.

He was sacked from his work for defying the laws. There is noway for the family again. If only Henry could miraculous win.

“Henry. I am proud of you”

Henry faced Mr. Dawson.

“Watch me win”

He faces Derek and tightened his fist, Lora explained everything to him. He must win this battle or his family is doomed to slavery.

“Shall we begin”

Derek's cheeks moved, he thought Henry was scared to come, all this would've been for waste.

His old man, wants him to end this match quickly, but he wants to enjoy himself.

Henry can't touch him anyway. He is wearing a ring that increases his level by three. Now he is currently at level 5.

He is also putting on a necklace that gives some basic physical skills, Henry won't even see him coming.

“Why are you just standing there, attack me now or are you scared of dying”

Everybody burst out laughing. What a stupid boy.

Henry stares at Derek's magical items, he is loaded, and he is even wearing a suit that will increase his stamina and other physical attributes.

It will seem impossible now, but Henry is tired of this bastard running mouths. he must deal with him.

“Let see who will beg for mercy”

Henry dashed to Derek, he moved his right hand and unleashed his attack.

“Skill one!”

The cube seized was five times bigger than before, even Derek's eyebrows moved, seeing Henry's explosion skills.

“Explosion!!”

Henry flings the attack to Derek. Derek didn't bother to evade the attack. He kept moving towards Henry, when the impact was about to be made.

Derek slapped the ball size flame away. It landed on the wall and left some cracks.

Everybody started clapping seeing Derek's strength. Henry was surprised his attack had no effect, he underestimated the suit Derek was wearing, it gives Derek some kind of super strength.

Derek saw the look on Henry's face. His lips curved and he muttered.

“Mega skills; Flame armor!”

His body envelopes with fiery flames, with this new armor, Henry's attack won't work on him. he was surprised Henry explosion skills was that powerful, nobody noticed it but it actually pushed him backwards.

“Just give up already, your fire can't harm me anymore”

Henry didn't listen to him. He sends more explosion skills and the impact was swallowed by the flame.

Derek smiled seeing Henry's puzzle face. It's times he finishes the bastard.

“Mega skills; Blazing Aura”

Henry falls to his knees immediately, the air was intense. He can't believe Derek have unlocked two mega skills, and he can use them simultaneously. It's all because of that suit, the strength is undeniably great. it will take level 5 to unlock a mega skills but not everybody can handle it because of the energy and strength it drains from the mage, but Derek was doing it with ease, one of the benefits of being wealthy.

Derek's firepower increase, then he marched forward.

“Flash step”

With three steps he was right in front of Henry. Henry quickly activated his second skills.

“Flame shield”

A round flame shield formed in his hand quickly, everybody was surprised Henry had other skills, but it was useless.

“Fireball!!!”

Derek smash the attack to Henry. Henry blocks the attack, but the force staggered him backwards, he is a C rank now, the attack shouldn't be this strong for him, but Derek was surrounded with flames which double the power.

Derek thought his fireball will bring Henry to the ground, but the kid was stubborn.

With the intense air, Henry should have been sleeping on the floor, it's a miracle that he is still able to stand and shield his attack.

“Stay down moron”

“Dash”

Derek's pace increased, he reached Henry's spot immediately.

“Fireball!”

Just as he about to make impact. Henry unleash his third skills.

“Fire chains!!”

More than four fire chains surge from Henry and bind Derek with force.

He tried to move but the chain only tightens.

Henry's cheeks moved. He carefully selected the skills to unlock, if he knew he won't be able to use physical skills, he would've unlocked one mega skills.

“Fire Burst!!”

Henry launched an upgraded version of the fireball.

The impact blast Derek away, he rolls on the floor before he finally got his balance.

He can't believe Henry's attack was this powerful, Henry is an E rank, his skills should be lightly than this, how come his skills impact is almost the same like his.

Before Derek could think of getting to his feet. Henry burst out at him and launched the fire burst again, but Derek was prepared.

“Speed dodge”

he dodges the attack by appearing in another place, before Henry could comprehend the process.

Derek moved again.

“Swift counter”

Derek appeared in Henry's back, Henry tried to move, but Derek was too fast.

“Fireball!!!”

he smashed the flame ball on Henry's back.

The attack fling Henry to the wall. His back smashed the wall and left some crack marks behind.

“Henry”

Lora covers her mouth, she was surprised that Henry was keeping up, even though he lacks the tools and magic items.

She wants her brother to win, but it shouldn't come with a price.

Henry coughs blood. He stands up and cleans his lips. His back hurt but the burning desire to win, makes it unnoticeable.

Derek slowly walked to Henry. Henry has unlocked three skills, he can't comprehend it, but he has three mega skills.

There is noway Henry can change the table and this is the end.

Derek stopped the blazing Aura. It didn't work as expected.

“Time to end this”

“Zoom”

Derek blast to Henry. Henry quickly sends a fire burst attack to him, that should stopped his pace, but Derek evaded the attack easily with a speed dodge and his movements didn't slow down.

Henry's fist tightened, he must do something quickly.

“Fire chains”

he launched the attack when Derek reached the skills zone, but Derek once again dodge it with a Swift counter.

He predicted all Henry's moves, at the end of the day, he is a B rank while Henry is an E rank.

He appeared in Henry's back and launched his final attack.

“Mega skills; Blazing fists”

Derek's fist covers with intense flame, and he smacks Henry on his back.

He tottered forward. He turns facing Derek, and Derek smash him on his stomach.

The force leap Henry up, but Derek wasn't through yet, he grips Henry in mid air and whack him to the ground.

Henry falls flat on the ground.

Derek's armor flame and blazing fist disappeared. He had reached his limits.

“Henry!”

Lora shouted but nobody responded. Mr. Tucker falls to his knees, what has he done. He made the wrong choice, by supporting Henry.

He never stood a chance against Derek. Those magic items made the difference.

Derek's voice out.

“I have brought the E ranker to the ground”

Everybody was cheering his name. Mr. Tucker faces Mr. Dawson.

“Were is the mage healer. You promised a standby mage will attend to whoever that lose”

“Attend to whom, waste my money to hire a mage. You must be joking”

he stands up.

“Go attend to your son”

Mr. Tucker tears drops. He rushed to the arena, he doesn't know what to do, but he can't sit down and do nothing, his son is dying.

Henry's eyes open.
