Fight Day

Henry's eyes opened. He was in the dream space again. He wondered if this was a farewell meeting or if this was his afterlife.

[Congratulations, System has cleared all tracks of host]

[Host is recovering from damage. Host can't leave dream space until the host recovers fully]

“Am I alive?”

Henry understood the system's words, but he wanted to hear it from the system itself.

[Host is currently at home with his family]

Henry's cheeks moved. He remembered a little detail before he blacked out. He moved at insane speed, and his direction was home, but how did he enter without unlocking the password?

He couldn't remember all the details. He must have done everything himself.

“How long will I be staying here, and I want to know the time difference between here and my world.”

[Host will recover fully in four days. There is no time difference between dream space and your world. Everything depends on host. Dream space can move faster or slower]

Henry's jaws slacked. He thought the system said dream space was faster, so it could also be slower. Henry wanted to voice out, but he gave it a second thought.

This was just like having a dream. Sometimes it moved quickly, and sometimes it moved slowly, but whatever the case, it was faster than normal time.

Four days was perfect. He could train tirelessly and level up to C or B rank before the fight against Derek.

Henry's cheeks moved. He couldn't comprehend these powers, but he would make absolute use of them.

The only problem was that he didn't know how much time had passed in the real world since the system couldn't give him any specific difference.

“How then do I know the exact time to exit dream space since I'm going to be training here every day?”

[System will automatically exit host from dream space when danger arises and specific time is set by host]

“I want to set a specific time.”

[Set system clock to your exit time. System clock corresponds to the real world]

Henry wanted to change the time, but a message popped out.

[Host can't set time. Recovering time; 3D. 23h. 30m. 4s]

He wasn't expecting this message from the system, at least. He knew the clock was working. It served as an alarm in the dream space.

“Okay.”

Henry cracked his fingers.

“I want to buy a booster.”

[Opening Store. Store opened]

Henry's eyes widened as he saw the system store. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He stepped backwards and blinked multiple times, but the results were the same.

[Skills store]

Henry entered the skills store. The screen widened and was separated into three sections.

[Normal skills]

[Mega skills]

[Zone skills]

Henry's cheeks moved as he scrolled through the triple screen.

The price of all normal skills was the same. With just 500 coins, he could get any normal skill, and there were more than 30 skills available.

Henry quickly asked.

“Can I learn all the skills here?”

[Host can learn unlimited skills]

“Hahahahaha.”

Henry covered his face with his hands. Derek was dead. He was going to smash that kid into the ground.

Mages could only learn six normal skills. The highest he had heard of was nine, but he could learn everything.

He gazed at the mega skills and zone skills. These were rare skills for mages. Only the devoted ones unlocked mega skills, and it was usually three to four.

The zone skills were based on family heritage. Only powerful high-class mages unlocked such skills, and it was always one. He had heard rumors of two, but it was rare.

Henry scrolled through both skills, and he counted more than 30 on both. His cheeks covered his eyes even more.

The mega skills were 1000 coins, while the zone skills were 2000 coins.

As long as he entered the academy, he would get his mage license and put it to work. He must join a bounty team so he could experience monster fighting and gain coins.

“Hahahaha.”

Henry burst out laughing as he imagined his road to becoming the strongest mage ever.

This system was incredible.

He came out of the skills store and entered the magic enhancement store. His mouth opened as he saw the things available in the enhancement store, and it was cheaper.

He didn't know mega skills could be acquired through magical jewelry. He thought magic tools only boosted levels and physical attributes, but this store had everything.

Henry decided to buy a physical attribute jewelry.

“Purchase ring of diamonds.”

[Warning/Reminder; System does not allow host to wear enhancement tools. Host can only give tools to friends]

Henry's jaws slacked. Why were such rules implemented? Why would he purchase an enhancement tool and give it to somebody else?

He would rather purchase other things than do something that stupid.

Henry's voice was commanding.

“Why can't I put on enhancement tools?”

He wasn't happy to hear this.

[Host is a God. Host doesn't need mere enhancement tools. They tarnish host's godly image and the pride of the system]

Henry couldn't believe the system's words. Even the seven S rank mages put on enhancement tools, let alone somebody like him.

Who said he was a god anyway? Henry wanted to continue, but he realized he was wasting time. He should start his training immediately.

“I want to purchase a 10X training booster.”

[10X training booster cost = 100 coins. Would you like to continue purchase?]

“Yes.”

[Training booster purchased. 10X acceleration has begun. 10X training booster will last for one year]

Henry commenced training immediately. He barely trained for 30 minutes when he received a message.

[Training booster has expired]

Henry's jaws slacked. He couldn't believe this dream space.

Had it been a year already? He barely trained for 30 minutes. He wasn't sure about the duration, though. Henry wanted to purchase another one when a message popped out.

[Host will be exiting dream space in ten minutes]

Henry's heart skipped a beat. It was four days already. Tomorrow he would be facing Derek. He wondered what his rank would be now.

“Show host profile.”

[Henry Tucker.

Henry was satisfied with his progress, but he wasn't sure if it would be enough to beat Derek. Derek must have gotten stronger too. He couldn't underestimate his family's wealth.

“Can system recommend any offer for me?”

[Host was granted a special package for killing a monster for the first time]

[Host can purchase all physical skills for a lesser amount.

Henry stared at the offer. There were a lot of things to do with coins. He must be sure of himself before he purchased anything since he couldn't guarantee himself coins on a daily basis.

“Skills store.”

Henry purchased three normal skills that he needed against a stronger opponent.

After a while of endless thought, he decided to go for the physical skills.

“Purchase all physical skills.”

Physical skills would help him counter Derek's movement. He would be able to use Flash Step and even more.

He had heard that it was the basics of becoming a high-class mage.

[Host has purchased all physical skills]

[Activating all physical skills]

[Activation failed; host can't use physical skills now. Host must perform certain exercise drills to acquire all physical skills]

Henry's eyes widened. He couldn't believe the system tricked him on something he wouldn't be able to use now.

At the moment, he only had 400 coins. He wouldn't have bought the physical skills if he knew he wouldn't be able to use them.

“Shit, this system is.....”

Henry woke up. He stood halfway immediately. His eyes moved to his wristwatch, and it was still the same.

He wondered why his wristwatch wasn't displaying his current level. However, he was happy it wasn't showing. He would have had to answer some questions from the military about his class changing.

“Brother. You are awake.”

Henry gazed at Lora. She was beside him. His eyebrows moved slightly.

“Where are Dad and Mom?”

Lora hesitated.

“Dad went to Mr. Dawson's house to plead with him.”

“Why?”

Henry stood up.

Lora stared at him.

“Today is your fight day. Many people have gathered at the Dawson family training ground.”

Henry's heart skipped a beat. He forgot the four days count of the system wouldn't start on a fresh day. That was why he woke up on the fifth day, and thank goodness it was still morning.

“Let's go. I must fight him.”

“Brother, you just woke up after four days of sleeping. We didn't have money to take you to the...”

“It's okay, Lora. Your big brother is fine. And don't worry about the fight. I am going to beat that asshole.”

Henry took Lora to the Dawson mansion. He could feel his strength already. His body had really changed.

They entered the training hall.

Many people were gathered. Some were from other areas in Cherry City, but it was mainly Bloom Area.

Henry expected nothing less from Dawson. He would like to showcase this fight too. Too bad his son would be losing.

He took Lora to a better spot in the audience stands. She should watch how he beat that scumbag. He could already see Derek in the wide rectangular arena. Everybody was waiting for him to show up.

Henry came down and headed to the arena.

Suddenly, he heard the microphone voice.

“Mr. Dawson, I am begging you. Henry is sick. He can't make it. Please

shift the day forward or...”

“There is no shifting. Since your son can't make it, the land automatically becomes mine.”

“Mr...”

“Silence, Tucker. Mr. Dawson is right. Since Henry is not...”

“I am here!!”

Henry's loud voice alerted everybody.
