Lisa was shocked.

“What is it?” Oliver asked, as his attention was drawn to her by her scream.

Lisa was speechless. “Isn’t that…….” She pulsed, zooming into the picture, with her face unhappy.

“Lisa, what is it? Talk to me,” Oliver said. He tried to peep into Lisa’s phone but she quickly shifted.

“It’s nothing…… just…… just.. a shocking gossip on the internet,” Lisa chuckled.

“Oh, I see,” Oliver nodded, turning to the menu and looking up to the waiter.

"Good evening, welcome to Le Château Gourmet. Are you ready to place your order?" The waiter asked, with a towel on his arm, coupled with his royal facial expression and sleepy eyes.

"Yes, I'll have the Wagyu Ribeye Steak, medium-rare, with the black truffle butter. For the sides, I'll take the roasted garlic mashed potatoes and the charred broccolini. And if possible, could you include the red wine reduction? And Lisa what do you want?” Oliver asked turning his attention to Lisa.

Lisa casually picked up, the menu and blurted out the first thing she saw.

"I'll have the Lobster Tail with Saffron Risotto, please…… Make sure the lobster is butter-poached, and I'd like the grilled asparagus on the side. Oh, and the citrus beurre blanc sauce sounds lovely—please include that as well." Lisa concluded with a slug nod.

"Excellent choices. Would you like to pair those with a wine selection from our list?" The waiter asked, as he quickly writes down their order still maintaining his composure and manner.

Sure…… sure…. I'll take a glass of the 2016 Château Margaux Bordeaux to go with my steak." Oliver added as he carefully makes his choice.

Lisa skimmed through the wine selection, anyone can tell she was lost, even Oliver.

“My Lady I’ll have a glass of the 2018 Domaine Ott Rosé to complement the lobster." Oliver said.

"Wonderful choices. May I recommend starting with an appetizer?” the waiter asked.

"That sounds great. Let’s add that to the order." Oliver concorded.

"I’ll pass on the appetizer for now, but could you bring me a sparkling water with a lemon wedge while we wait?" Lisa requested.

"Of course.” the waiter acknowledged with a nod.

He continued “One sparkling water with lemon and a foie gras appetizer to start. I’ll have your wine selections brought out shortly as well. Is there anything else I can assist you with?"

"No, that’ll be all for now, thanks." Oliver gave the final wave of dismissal.

"Thank you!" Lisa followed.

"My pleasure. I’ll be back with your drinks in just a moment. Enjoy your evening." The waiter bowed and left.

Lisa immediately returned to her phone, still on Nora picture, her face still in disgust.

Oliver noticed. “What is the problem? Is it your broke boyfriend?”

Lisa immediately screenshot the picture, saving the picture. “No, it’s not him, just something on social media,” she smiles.

Meanwhile, Nora was not to far from them, Nora was recording Lisa, from outside the restaurant, gathering evidence.

“This isn’t enough to convince Eric,” Nora thought to herself, as her fingers plays with the necklace that was mistakenly given to her by Eric.

Nora snapped her fingers as she thought of a plan.

Nora quickly brought out her phone and called Eric.

Eric phone buzzed, interrupting his hopeful evening. He took a glimpse at the caller ID it was Nora, Eric knew what she wanted to say but he made his decision minutes ago.

Eric didn’t pick the call.

Nora was pissed at her own, she decided to text him.

“I called, and I know you are mad at me but I think if we can meet right now, I will show you something that will change your mind, and if it doesn’t, I will tell you be,” Nora sent.

Eric got the beep, Nora hoped for a reply.

Nora attention shifted to her target, Lisa, as she monitors her from a distance, outside the fancy glass restaurant.

Swiftly, the waiter came back with their orders and wine selections.

Oliver sniffed the food, in a majestic manner, and smiled.

Lisa glanced at what she ordered, couldn’t comprehend but nodded in false appreciation.

“I can’t chew properly,” Oliver muttered, as he picked up his cutlery’s. He continues “your man, made it so,”.

“Sorry,” Lisa apologized, patting Oliver on the cheek softly.

“Don’t be, he can’t spend on a pretty girl like you, or even afford this place,” Oliver said proudly.

Flashback of the shock of seeing Eric as his gardener, came back to him.

“Guest what I found out about Eric?” Oliver asked.

Lisa took a bite of the lobster, trying to comprehend the flavor. “What?” Lisa asked.

Lisa looked through the glasses of the restaurant into the street nearby, then back to Oliver.

Nora got no response from Eric. She sighed.

“Let me just go home, this is pointless,” Nora admitted.

Nora slide her phone in her bag, but still had the necklace on her neck and it was visible. Nora motioned herself home, walking passed the fancy restaurant.

Nora brought the phone to check the time, as he moved along the road.

Lisa phone buzzes with Eric calls, interrupting Oliver revelation. Lisa didn’t pick.

“Is him, huh?” Oliver asked.

Lisa nodded.

Oliver sighed. “Why don’t you dump him and move on with me?”

“I said, propose and marry me, then I will be yours,” Lisa replied.

Oliver sighed. “I will think about it”

“Think?! You don’t love me, don’t you?” Lisa questioned.

Oliver scratched his head. “Is it not like that,” he replied.

“Then it is what?! I am just an accessory of pleasure isn’t it?” Lisa voice was rising, drawing attention of other customers.

“Calm down, let me explain,” Oliver muttered, he stretched his hands towards Lisa hand but Lisa quickly pulled away.

“I’m listening,” Lisa replied.

“You know I cared about you, don’t let one question, ruin everything,” Oliver said.

“Everything?!” Lisa sighed.

“I lost my appetite,” Lisa said. She got up, grabbed her bag, dashed out the door in annoyance, onto the streets.

Oliver dropped the bill on the table and he went after her.

Out in the streets, Lisa waited for a cab.

“Lisa, wait! Just listen to me,” Oliver called out. He motioned close to her.

Lisa tried to ignore him by walking away but she bumped into Nora.

“Oh sorry…….” Nora apologized, quickly looking up and her face was froze in shock.

Lisa stared at her, in shock, she quickly site the necklace on Nora’s neck.

“This can’t be true….. how……how did she have it? This can’t be happening,” Lisa muttered within herself.

  • Chais of Silence.

The night air was charged with an unnormal stillness, one felt only after there had been too much laughter to bounce off a room. Inside the Rodriguez mansion, the walls pulsed with golden light, the scents of champagne and foreign candles hanging in the air late into the night after the guests had left. Lisa stood barefoot in front of the large window, wrapped in a white satin robe that reflected in the moonlight. The city lights painted her figure in soft gold as she stared out silently into the night.Behind her, the bathroom door creaked open. Steam curled into the room as Oliver stepped out, water still dripping from his toned frame.
