143: Public apology

Meanwhile, Quince's mind turned back to the warden's challenge. He said there was no way he'd be able to meet Jen, right? He was going to show him that he was not called Kingsley Quince for nothing!

He smiled to himself. The warden had no idea who he was dealing with.

He strode from Jen's cell and made his way to the warden's office.

He already gathered all the information about the warden and discovered he was a person of influence in the prison. No wonder Zechariah chose him.

He knocked at the door and a gruff voice answered, "Hold on..."

However, Quince immediately opened the door and stepped into the office. The warden was sitting behind his desk, filling out paperwork.

He glanced up in annoyance. "Hey! You're supposed to let me say "come in" before you…" the words died in his throat when he saw the face. "Mr. Quince?!"
