"Good morning, ma'am," Felix bowed, his head low and hands crossed on his lap. He wondered what he had done wrong this time. Kate shot him a dirty glare and rolled her eyes.

"This grocery is for the catering department at A.X. Corporation. That’s where my daughter works. Handle it with care."

Felix nodded and sighed in relief. Thank goodness—it’s not about me this time.

Besides, if he went there, he’d get to see his love, Meq. He could even make up for annoying her the other day by giving her a small present.

"And how is Dice doing?" Kate asked, settling into her seat.

"He’s fine, ma'am. You can trust me on that," Felix replied with a smile. Kate scoffed but didn’t argue. Felix was good at his job, and she knew it.

He hopped on his bike and rode to the company. When he arrived, he parked, untied the package, and held it carefully in his hands.

Just as he was heading into the main building, two security guards stopped him.

"Hey! Leave these premises now! We don’t entertain losers here!" shouted a fat, potbellied guard, eyeing him from head to toe.

"Wait, it looks like he has a delivery," another guard pointed out, noticing the package.

"But why does a delivery guy look like he crawled out of a dumpster?" the potbellied one still muttered, eyeing Felix.

A woman in a white blouse and black pencil skirt overheard them and chuckled. "No, let him in. He’s here to deliver groceries to the catering department," she said casually.

It sounded like she’d been informed already. Maybe Kate had called ahead. The guards looked at each other, then moved aside. Still, one of them held up a hand.

"Wait! I’ll escort you to the catering department. No wandering around, loser."

The man did not want him constituting nuisance of any sort in the company.

Felix didn’t respond to the “loser” comment, though it stung. Of all things, a loser?

But he stayed calm. He knew his outfit, a green linen jacket and white shorts stained with baby drool, didn’t exactly scream “professional.”

The guard led him to the catering department, and Felix dropped off the package where instructed.

Now, he was finally going to see his wife. He smiled to himself and held the pink necklace he’d bought on the way as a peace offering. Maybe she’ll like it.

He smiled and then looked at the security guard.

He didn't know how to tell him about meeting his wife, so he would show him where the secretary office leads.

Since he got married to her, He always come visiting but the last time he came, she warned him to stop visiting He didn't know why and never cared why. But now, he'll make sure to surprise her. He was wondering what her reaction was going to be, so he asked the security guard.

"Sir, please. I want to see Meq. Meq Carlos."

The guard snapped around. "What the hell?! How dare you say her name, you scum!"

His eyes nearly popped out. Meq Carlos held a respected position so everyone called her Ma'am Meq.

Felix was confused for a second, then remembered that she’d been promoted to secretary.

"Sir, she’s my wife."

That single statement astounded the security guard as he looked at Felix in scrutiny with a deep frown on his face. He was finally sure that this delivery guy was crazy.

"Look here, young man; you weren't allowed in here to display your madness! How can you say she is your wife?"

Felix was stunned by what he said. "You didn't know she was married?"

The guard scoffed. "We all in this company know that ma'am Meq is single and isn't married; there isn't even a ring on her finger to signify it so stop fooling yourself." The guard shook his head, and walked past him.

"What?" Felix was aware that they didn't exchange rings on their wedding day but he surely bought her a ring afterwards. Why wasn't she wearing it?

Felix became dumbfounded as he stood there, recalling those words of the security guard; he couldn't talk anymore.

His face paled as he tightened his grip on the necklace in his hands and hoped that it wasn't what he was thinking. He felt his heart shatter into pieces but suddenly shook his head to disagree with what the security guard said.

He knew his wife never liked him but he was sure it hadn't gotten to such a point.

He sighed and saw a female worker coming in his direction as he stopped her.

"Sorry, miss. Good morning. I’m looking for my wife’s office. Meq... the secretary’s office," he said politely.

She gave him a disgusted look and scanned him like he was garbage. "I didn’t know Ma'am Meq married a houseboy who smells like poverty. What a mess!"

"Please," he said again, ignoring her rudeness. "Her office."

She rolled her eyes. "Take the lift to the third floor. First office on the left you see is hers," she described as he nodded and showed appreciation.

"Thanks miss"

As he walked away, she muttered, "Wife? Jeez. I didn’t know Ma'am had such bad taste." Then she laughed to herself and continued walking.

Felix ignored her and headed to the lift. He was excited. He just wanted to make peace with his wife now.

He grinned and reached for the office door. He was about to knock, but it was unlocked.

He slowly pushed the door open and froze.

Meq was sitting on a man's lap, shirt off, kissing and smooching like no one else existed.

They didn’t even notice him standing there.

He was utterly shaken. The necklace dropped from Felix’s hand. His face went pale.

Without thinking, he stormed in, grabbed Meq, and sat her down on the desk. She gasped, eyes wide in shock, not expecting him to be there.

Felix’s green eyes burned into hers. His jaw clenched tight with betrayal and pain.

"How could you?" he whispered.

Getting a grip of herself, Meq wriggled out of his grasp and quickly wore her shirt.

The man on the seat, the manager, was on his own, surprised at Felix's reaction and wondered,

"Who the hell are you?!"

Felix didn’t even look at him. He began to lash out at Meq.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Meq?! What is all this?!" He grabbed her hand tightly. "What did I ever do to deserve this treatment? What did I do wrong? ANSWER ME!"

His voice was that of a roar, revertebrating round the office, causing her to shiver.

"Who are you?! And what the fuck are you doing here?" The manager stood up, ready to defend her.

The moment Meq heard his voice, she turned to him, "really, hun, I don't know what came over him; he is just a housekeeper married into my family to take care of Dice." Her voice was pure and innocent, nothing like the loud voice she uses to yell at him at home.

Felix's face was ashen in anger as he held her tight in her arms. "How dare you cheat on me and still deny me in front of him?! What did I do to deserve this?! What fucking crime did I commit?!"

"Get your disgusting hands off me, you dickhead!" Meq hissed, hitting him.

The manager, Fred Meyer, grabbed Felix and yanked him away.

"How dare you touch my woman, you houseboy!" he yelled, punching Felix in the nose.

"Aaahh!" Felix groaned and stumbled.

"You want more?!" Fred shouted, landing another punch to Felix’s stomach, then punching his face over and over.

Meq just stared at Felix as he received blows from Fred, not giving a damn about what Fred was doing to him. It was his fault anyway. Who asked him to come here in the first place?

Blood dripped from Felix’s mouth as he coughed and gasped. Fred stopped, turned to Meq, and kissed her.

"Let’s leave this trash here. He’s nothing."

"Of course, babe," Meq replied, kissing him back. "He's just a worthless pig."

Felix, clutching his stomach, stared at them through blurred eyes.

They left him there.

Felix struggled to stand. He breathed heavily, then left the building in silence.

He rode to a quiet riverbank, fell to his knees, and screamed with everything in him.

"WHY ME!!!"

Tears poured down his face. He was devastated and wished the ground would open and swallow him up.

He stared at the sky, cursing the day he was born, and wished never to exist. He cried out in deep sorrow.

Then he thought, "Maybe I should visit the orphanage one last time..."

The lieutenant’s son rolled across the floor, flipping up his rifle. “Shadow, left flank!” Jake barked. Shadow was already gone. The sound of Mark’s laughter echoed across the warehouse, bouncing off the cracked walls like a nightmare that refused to die. Felix stood in place, every muscle in his body ready. Jake’s hand twitched near his gun. The others spread out, forming a loose semicircle around Mark. Something was off about Mark. He definitely wasn't the same spoilt brat he knew months ago. “Been a long time, Felix,” Mark stepped closer. “Ahhh...Who would have guessed that the Carlos' houseboy was the son of the quadrillionaire? I was so stupid to not have noticed.” Felix’s eyes darkened, clenching his fists. He didn’t like getting reminded of that. “You haven’t changed at all.” “Oh, I have.” Mark tilted his head. “You just don’t like what I’ve become.” “You mean a stalker?” Jake growled. Mark smirked. “Big words from the guard dog.” Jake’s jaw flexed, but Felix lifted a hand slightly, stopping him. Mark chuckled, his gaze sliding back to Felix. “You know, I still remember the orphanage whe

Shadow straightened. “That’s him?” Jake didn’t blink. “It’s him.” Xander leaned forward. “You sure?” Jake nodded. “Positive. I’ve seen this bastard too many times in the footage. Same height. Same wrist mark.” The Reaper tilted his head slightly. “Where was this taken?” Jake’s fingers flew again. “EastValley city, near an old warehouse district. The cameras caught him three nights in a row, between midnight and two a.m.” “Pattern,” Shadow said simply. “Yeah,” Jake breathed. “He’s staying somewhere near there. Maybe an apartment, maybe a hideout.” The room went quiet for a second. Only the whir of the computers filled the air. Then Silas spoke. “We’ll move tonight.” Shadow hesitated. “We don’t even know what’s inside that warehouse—” Reaper gave him a cold look. “We’ll find out.” Xander cracked his knuckles, a grin flickering across his face. “It’s been a while since we stretched our legs.” Phantom looked up from his earpiece. “Already scanning the area. “He’s been texting me… weird, scary stuff. He says he’s watching me. Sometimes he describes what I’m wearing, or where I am.” Felix’s hands clenched into fists on the table. “Why didn’t you tell me?!” He couldn’t believe that bastard had the guts to start stalking her again. His face went red from anger. “I didn’t want to worry you,” she said, voice cracking. “You already have so much on your plate, and I thought maybe if I just ignored him, he’d—” “Elsa!” His tone was sharp now. He tried to control it, but he was still furious underneath. “He’s stalking you. That’s not something you keep to yourself!” Her eyes stung with tears. “I know, I just—” He leaned forward, his voice low but trembling with anger. “If anything happened to you—” He stopped himself, shaking his head. “You should have told me the second he texted you. I don’t care how small you think it is. Anyone who scares you, ANYONE, becomes my problem!” The intensity in his voice made her chest ache. He cared so

Felix stood first, brushing his hands against his hoodie. Elsa tilted her head. “Where are you going?” He nodded toward the corner of the observatory. “The telescope. Want to see the stars up close?” Her lips parted slightly, surprised. “There’s a telescope here?” He gave a small nod, a faint smirk playing on his lips. “You’ve been here so many times and never noticed?” She crossed her arms and pouted, but followed him anyway. “I don’t exactly go snooping around at night.” The telescope stood tall near the railing, pointed at the sky. Felix adjusted it with ease. “Here,” he murmured, bending slightly to adjust the angle. “Try looking through it now.” She stepped closer, the soft sound of her socks brushing against the floor. Her fingers lightly rested on the telescope as she leaned forward and peered through the lens. The sight stole her breath. Tiny, glittering stars filled the view. There were so close and sharp, like she could just reach out and touch them. “Oh
