Buzz…. Buzz
The continuous buzzing sound of my stupid alarm clock woke me up from my sleep,just when I was having the most amazing dream I ever had.
With just one hit on the alarm clock the buzzing came to an end.
"Stupid alarm,waking me up this early" I mumbled as I covered my head with my pillow. I just seem to ignore the fact that I was the one that set the alarm to wake me up but gosh it just so hard to wake up early.
I stood up from my bed still wrapped in my old duvet I dragged myself to down from the bed to say a short prayer which includes mumbling some words and I was done praying.
I stood up stretched my body and finally opened my eyes as the sun rays found it way into my dilating pupils, my eyes caught sight of the bibles I places all around my room.
*seem like it worked* I thought, today seemed like a good day cause I just feel happy.
Nevertheless it another day of job hunting cause I'm dead broke right now, and I don't even have anything for breakfast.
"Dad you caused all these" I yelled but my voice just echoed back to me in my empty room. I finally picked up my bucket after several minutes of staring into thin air and thinking about my life. I filled my bucket with water and walked out of my room to the bathroom.
"Jāy today you woke up early thank god ooh" Josh yelled from the window of his apartment
I chuckled as I found it funny "you wouldn't let me be this early morning" I replied as I continued my journey to the bathroom.
"Omg" I exclaimed on seeing the long queue of people waiting for their turn to take their bath "even by this time there is still a queue" I said to no one in particular as I placed my bucket at the back of the last person in line.
5 minutes later
Time flies when your doing nothing, beards and grey hairs have already grown on my head as I waited for what seemed like years to take my bath,it seems like I will go to my backyard and bath again this time I thought.
"Excuse me bros! " I said tapping the guy standing in front of me who was also waiting for his turn. "Can you please look after this spot for me? My bucket is here lemme go get something" I asked and he nodded in approval and I left, by the way I was tired of standing anyway. I decided to buy something from the famous mama kiosk, I don't have money so maybe I'll owe I contempted in my mind.
"Mama oo mama ooh" I hailed as soon I entered into the shop
"Jāy lemme oh,this morning that your hailing me like this I hope you didn't come to take something on credit without paying me" mama said as she kept arranging her goods
"Ha mama" I exclaimed " me owe you again,I now have a job ooh, I will even dash you money!" I lied with a big smile on my face
"Hmm is that why you came to my shop without wearing shirt" mama added and I laughed
"Mama gimme bread,2 egg then add rice, I believe I will need crayfish infection just gimme everything needed to cook rice" I said as I picked a groundnut from the counter.
"OK no wahala" mama said as she left to get the items
I really need to get a job and pay up my debt ooh,infact am literally owing everybody selling in my street and as a result I don't even walk around freely before one of them will catch me and embarrass me.
"Here it is,totally of N1240" mama said as she handed me the bag containing the item.
Lisa's POV
All through yesterday till this morning have been searching for the guy that was able to see me,I couldn't rest.
But seems like it was impossible as he was no were to he found, I've lost hope.
"My only hope just slipped through my hands" I yelled but nobody could hear me
I fell on my knees, it painful wandering around and no one could see you let alone to help you. Only the thought of these made tears flow down my eyes, I felt like killing myself but am already dead; you cant kill what is already dead. But am dead but not really dead.
I raised my eyes to the sky, I glanced at the road were I knelt all the cars that kept passing through me, my attention was drawn to a shop as I glanced at it and shifted my attention back to the sun
"Wait a minute is that him" I thought as I shifted my gaze back to the shop
"Oh my god it's him" I screamed happily.
It the boy. I could never forget a face.
Jāys POV
I took the bag
"Good morning" I feminine voice sounded behind me causing my heart to skip a beat
Oh my gosh it's her I mumbled as I froze on a spot. I could never forget a voice,chills ran through my body.
"Excuse me" the voice said again as she touched my shoulder, "she touched me" I yelled in my mind. I turned my eyes fell on the beautiful face of my crush chioma
"Good morning I replied" comporting myself as i held the bag containing my good items close to my chest to hide my dry chest.
"Jāy pay me nah" mama screamed drawing my out of my long minutes of staring at chioma.
Did woman want to f*ck me up in front of this girl, "oh that's true" I stuttered trying to cover up as I pretended to search my empty pockets
"Mama I want noodles" chioma said with her angelic voice that always got me loving the more..
"My dear please wait let him pay me,I'm coming" mama said as she glanced at me
"Settle her first mama" I said so that she can go then I beg mama for me to pay later
"No jāy" she insisted
I searched my pocket with one hand while the other held my bag across my bare chest "omg seems like I forgot my wallet mama,I'm coming let me get it" I lied as I walked backwards
"Jāy i know that why you were hailing me,remember N1240 plus N4000 old debt"mama yelled at me as I left the shop smiling. Mission accomplished I said to myself.
One day I will date chioma I said dreamily as I walked back to my compound.
Lisa's POV
I jumped happily,but he walked out of the shop and into a compound,I chased after my mind as if my life depends on it,which technically my life do depends on him helping me.
My joy knew no bounds as I saw him and I wont let him slip through my hands again I thought as I ran into the compound. I looked around but couldn't find him, I walked around the compound but I didn't see him.
I could see few people standing in quiet with buckets in front of the but he wasn't there,I entered another corner in search of him.
Jāy's POV
I took my food items into my room and dropped them inside. At least with them I was sure of lunch if josh won't come and finish it for me..I dashed out of my room back to the queue which was no longer long,only few person were before me as I took my place.
"Thank you bros" I said to the guy who watched my spot, I turned my glance and my eyes caught sight of the ghost girl. "Oh my god" I mumbled "this is not happening
Lisa's POV.
I searched around that corner,but didn't find him,so I left there. Immediately i stepped out I caught sight of the guy. Our eyes met, "it really is him" I mumbled
"Let me be" I heard him yell as he walked backwards
"I don't want to hurt you" I replied as I walked closer.
Jāy POV
"Let me be" I yelled as I walked backwards drawing everyones attention to myself
"Look it her,tell her to stay away" I screamed
"Jāy what is it?" Josh asked as he ran to me
"Her it her" I replied completely shaken..
"Bring rope come and tie him" josh said loudly to one of the neighbors who gathered around me….

The officers freed Jay’s hands from the chains used to bond him and raise him up to the ceiling. Josh felt a bit happy but confused at the same time. Why can’t others see him but she can?
