"Meeting, 9am at the Hayfield residence" was what was on the paper.

"Phew," a relieved sigh escaped his lips. It was nothing much, just a letter stating the address and the contents of the meeting.

Just then, Louisa walked in with a package in her hand. "I noticed you didn't leave the office again so I brought food for you," she said, with a smile.

"Oh Louisa you shouldn't have. Jose and I were just about to grab lunch," Allen said smiling, his eyes locked deeply on Louisa.

"I finally got to meet you, Allen," the lady said reaching for a handshake and Allen obliged. "You grandmother has told me so much about you," she added with a giggle. "You're a fine young man, Allen. So respectful and I know our collaboration would only bring good results," the old man's coarse voice rang in the hall. "I've heard how much of a fast learner you are. You've achieved so much in such a short time. " "Thank you, Mr Hayfield," Allen said bowing, with his lips curved into a smile. "I also come bearing gifts, both sent by my grandmother," he added bringing the packages out of their box. Mr Hayfield's eyes widened the moment he saw the bottle. "My favorite wine? I knew I didn't make a mistake agreeing to this collaboration," his face lit up with excitement. "And for miss Olivia, a jade bracelet," Allen said, handing the second box to Olivia. She beamed as she collected the box. "I—I can't believe it. This isn't any jade, it's the imperial seal jade!" Allen didn't e

Allen stared up at the man in front of him. He wasn't wrong. He had heard too much about him in a few hours. "You're Drey Friedrich," Allen blurted out adjusting his clothes with his head held high. "The man whose name is on every lip." Drey's eyebrows furrowed, his breath rasp in the silence. Allen's was rough, eyes widened with an awkward tension between them. "I believe you know what I am here for," Drey said, walking closer. Allen's mind rang, thinking of a thousand things. "You're my business rival and I don't take it easy on my rivals. To me, the game is not fair but forcefully won. Which means, I will do everything to win this so watch your back!" Drey warned. "Are you threatening me?" Allen growled. "Will you really stoop so low?" "I am Drey Friedrich, everyone knows what I am capable of," Drey said with a smirk. Allen's mind traced back to what those men said when they were having dinner. He was starting to think Drey was as dangerous as they said he was. "So wh

Allen boiled in anger seeing her face again. Memories of her tormenting him flooded his mind. He had plans to make her pay but he had to play along as master Herondale for the moment. “Madam Nora, your daughter's wedding is the best I have ever attended but I must ask what happened to her ex-husband?” Allen blew the question too early. “That poor fool?” She raged. “He brought my daughter nothing but suffering and I’m glad he is out of her life for good!” The look of disgust on her face when she mentioned Allen irked him.
