John had never anticipated becoming a powerful, wealthy guy. He was given a warm welcome as soon as he walked into his father's office, and his father informed him that he had a great surprise in the office for him.
He was informed that a sizable celebration would soon be held in his honor to proclaim that John is the next heir and will succeed his father as the next mafia king, inheriting all of his father's wealth.
There were guards all around, and one of them delivered a ton of food to the table where John and his father were ready to have a conversation.
“Dad! Can you lend me few dollars?” john asked his father.
“Are you kidding me son! This city is yours you will take and have whatever you desire.” John’s father replied and laughed and made several jokes and giggled.
John was astonished to learn that he would be the owner of such fortune. His life has undergone such a significant transformation; after years of agony, he now has a second opportunity to live a decent life. However, that wasn't all that was on his mind; he also had many questions.
“I need to purchase the company located in the center of the city dad!” He asked his father if he might take the business where his wife's boss and she both work.
His father inquired "why?" merely out of curiosity since he was a bit astonished by what John desired.
John revealed to his father how his wife had abandoned him in favor of that wealthy guy. How painful it was when he was humiliated by his wife and her employer and hurt by the guards that day.
When his father grew enraged, he demanded that his guards bring the boss to him right away, but John stopped him.
“Why would you do that son?” When his father questioned why he wouldn't get vengeance on her, John said that he had another idea.
“I want to make fun these days a little before starting the serious work.” He disclosed to his father his plans to make fun of his wife, her new partner, or that wealthy guy. He wanted her to experience tragedy and make her employer regret underestimating him.
His father now comprehends why John would want to purchase that business. He acknowledged that his kid would soon become a powerful and deadly mafia ruler.
John's father immediately requested from one of his guards to add the company to his fortune and to find a new owner for it.
John advised everyone to remain quiet until he instructed them to tell the name of the new owner since he would not reveal it.
John had everything in place according to his plan when he made the decision to return home.
His wife and her mother were in the kitchen when he arrived home, and his mother-in-law began ranting and asking a lot of questions.
“Don’t mom, let this stupid, and don’t waste your time on him. He is not worth it.” When Jennifer stopped her and said, she was about to smack him with a question about where he was and why he had arrived so late.
She moved to another room with her mother after asking John to start cooking for her and make a nice meal.
John could see from her eyes that she was really upset and furious with her mother.
“It was quite likely that the wealthy guy would no longer be its owner.” She informed her mother that the business had been acquired; Jennifer wanted to know who the new owner is and even wanted to switch the wealthy guy she betrayed John with.
Her mother requested for confirmation before taking any action.
She was just interested in power and money. All of their talks were heard by John since he overheard them conversing, and her mother also desired it.
John was astounded by how sinister and terrible she is, and how only money, not love or people, mattered to her.
The fact that he had to prove to her that he was the new mafia king and how strong he was after she left his heart and thoughts was the finest thing that had ever happened to him.
He made her supper while considering cooking her poison since he detested her so much, but he decided against it.
She lost all meaning for him, as if he had never met her before. He informed her that he has to get some rest since he is so exhausted.
She cursed at him and humiliated him with the dog. She also gave him a superior gaze as she continued to stare at him. Even if she was concerned about his emotions at the time, she didn't used to see him as being quiet and chilly.
John isn't the same guy she used to communicate with; he is someone else, but she isn't sure who he is at the moment. He is so certain, composed, and straightforward.
When his father named him the next heir and the new mafia king who would succeed him the next morning, it was such a beautiful day for John.
It was the most lovely thing that had ever occurred in John's life that everyone there had shown respect for him.
Present was plenty of food, alcohol, and mafia members there, and his father attempted to force him to interact with them and get to know his allies and adversaries.
John was taken aback by how challenging and unpredictable life is there; his father was extremely wealthy, and it seemed like another planet.
When John spotted a quiet wise guy staring at him and his father, he didn't think twice to question his father about him.
“Let me tell you son about that man a little.” His father said.
“Who dad? Oh do you mean that one?” john looked toward the guys and asked.
His father informed him that he was an ancient clan chief who previously compelled non-clan members to do various "activities" during a "mafia battle" (killing). So that the opposing clan could not identify him, he required a brilliant individual who was not a member of his clan. He wanted John's father to fill the role. He was the perfect candidate for the position and had military background.
