Chapter -9 love is a dangerous killer

Going back home and allowing her wasn't the best decision after all, so it wasn't an easy night for John either.

Going back without her had been a mistake, and he acknowledged that his father was correct.

John attempted to contact her but her phone was locked; he sent her many messages but received no reply; he then began to worry excessively about what may have happened to her.

There was no other way he could get in touch with her. He contacted his guards at four in the morning, telling them to be ready and that he was returning there.

“I have to go back to the castle of Mr. Brawn.” John said.

“Sir, please I know who is Mr. Brawn.” The guard said.

“What do you mean by that?” john inquired.

One of the bodyguards informed him that her father is an elderly mafia figure who would show no compassion if anybody attempted to approach his daughter and who would also forbid him from marrying her since her father favored her cousin, even though Kahina also loved him.

For many years, that bodyguard was employed at the fortress.

“Let it go so! She is not the only girl in this world, I will find another one.” John was persuaded by what the guard said.

In reality, that bodyguard, Romeo, had lied to John because he was at love with her but her father had rejected him since he was just a servant in the castle. When he saw john attempting to get near to her, he became so envious of her that he made up the story.

John wanted to lead a regular life since he didn't know the reality.

The new owner informed him that his ex-wife Jennifer is attempting to return to work every day but is being rejected when the man visited the firm where his wife had previously worked the next morning.

When John inquired about what had happened to her, the new owner responded that she was in a terrible predicament.

“Really? That b***?” john was laughing when he asked.

“Yes sir, she was crying and begging for help.” The new owner replied.

She deserved it since John showed no compassion, according to him, and the reason she is acting that way is because she was betrayed.

When Steven, the once-rich guy, got into a fight with another man at the restaurant, many of his detractors who had been offended by him in the past tried to exact retribution, but when the police showed up, they seized them all. Steven had just been sentenced to jail.

His sob reached the top of his lungs as his throat constricted, followed by a melancholy grief and a true scream (mournful).

He yelled out in desperation at the situation he was in, his eyes stinging with tears. What had he done to earn this miserable state of affairs, and how dreary had his life become? when the devil gains access to his fortress.

John wasn't a very strong guy previously, but he has changed significantly. After receiving extensive training, he is now able to fight with great ease and is also an excellent shot.

He is now prepared to succeed the current mafia king, according to his father, who is very proud of him and didn't anticipate him to be so brilliant.

It was John's first assignment, searching for a wealthy guy residing in the UK who used to have a lot of money and is concealing it inside his large mansion. John had a fresh gang of slayers under his command, so he chose to leave the nation with them.

In front of several men and mafia organizations, John's father gave him the command to deliver the gold so that their riches would increase and that he would be required to murder the owner. He also promised to reward him and allow him to do whatever he pleased if the operation was successful.

The following morning, as the party was getting ready to go, John's father wanted to speak with him for a while in his room before they left.

John was taken aback by his father's visage, which seemed to be quite frail.

He inquired as to what had occurred, and his father said that he had a terrible illness for which no doctor had been able to discover a cure. It has now spread throughout his whole body, and he does not believe it will take much longer.

“Dad! Are you okay? What’s going on?” john asked.

“Set down son! I want to talk to you!” his father said.

“You look so sick! Let me bring a doctor.” John was so scared when he wanted to bring a doc.

“John! Please set down!” his father insisted.

John's father demanded that he go because it would make him more powerful and that the only way he could defeat his opponents was with money and the power of money, despite the fact that John had tears in his eyes and wanted to remain with him instead of going on the mission.

“This mission must be completed son! Do you promise me to finish it?” his father was dying when he asked.

“Yes dad! I will, I promise you.” John replied.

“Go now son! There is a lot of work is waiting for you.” John’s father said.

He didn't want to be there while his kid was dying. When John approached his father about the passing of his mother, he apologized and said he was unable to respond.

How odd that this question would remain unanswered forever as he is dying.

He whispered the last piece of wisdom into his ear before leaving on the assignment and advised him to trust both his heart and head.

When his father gave him such advice, John wasn't able to grasp it since he believed he was talking about the mission rather than love, which is the only thing that can rescue his soul.

When the group was about to leave the city, John received a phone call from his father's home informing them that Mr. James, John's father and the mafia king, had passed away and that his last command was to complete the mission before becoming the new mafia king.

John sobbed silently because he was unable to control his emotions, despite the fact that he is used to crying. He wants to fulfill his father's request in full.

Given that the owner of the gold is linked to the murder of John's mother, the expedition had a purpose. John's father fell in love with his mother when she was a very wealthy woman, but life wasn't kind to her.

The reason for her death was that the assassin sent his guards to kill her because he wanted the gold that belonged to John's mother.

After arriving at the airport, John asked to be informed of this reality because he was on the fence about whether or not he should go, but after hearing it, he vowed that he would not travel back to his hometown unless he took his head with him.
