Ch.2 - Punishment

Tian Zhu hoped that his elder sister, Tian Lan, did not know about his behavior all this time. However, as Tian Lan drew closer, he saw the cold expression on her face—one that clearly signaled that her arrival would bring nothing but misfortune for him.

“Damn it! It looks like I have to run!” Tian Zhu opened a space–time portal, preparing to flee to another world.

Tian Lan stopped where she was, her cold gaze still fixed on the spot where Tian Zhu had been just moments before.

“Tian Zhu, don’t think you can hide from me!” Tian Lan said, disappearing from her position as well.

Tian Zhu, who had just teleported to another universe, was shocked to find himself already standing right in front of Tian Lan.

“Damn it!” Tian Zhu teleported again, this time not to another universe, but to a different world.

Yet once again, Tian Lan was already standing directly before him.

“Tian Zhu, you’d better stop running, because doing so will only make you suffer even more when I finally catch you,” Tian Lan said in a flat voice that made Tian Zhu freeze in place. “Besides, why are you running the moment you see me? Am I really that terrifying?”

Tian Lan gently patted Tian Zhu on the shoulder and put on a smile—a sweet smile that looked utterly horrifying to Tian Zhu.

“A–ahaha, Sister Lan, it’s been a long time. How have you been?” Tian Zhu smiled, though it was clearly a forced one.

“Of course your sister is doing just fine. Who do you think could possibly hurt me? Even Father himself would rather avoid me and do his best not to make me angry.” The hand resting on Tian Zhu’s shoulder suddenly tightened into a firm grip. “But you… you’ve done something completely beyond expectation—beyond reason, even beyond imagination.”

“S–Sister Lan, what do you mean? I don’t understand,” Tian Zhu pretended to be clueless.

“So you’ve become senile now? Then let me remind you like this.” Tian Lan raised her fist.

BAAM!

Tian Zhu was struck by a powerful blow that shattered the space behind him, sending him flying straight through it. He was flung all the way out of the dimension.

There, Tian Zhu was beaten mercilessly by Tian Lan, completely unable to fight back.

In truth, Tian Zhu was stronger than Tian Lan. However, whenever his elder sister was angry, she seemed to emit an aura that made anyone who felt it unable to resist.

Even their father, the supreme ruler, would not dare to oppose Tian Lan when she was enraged.

After being beaten half to death by Tian Lan, Tian Zhu was brought before the entire family, including his father. His disgraceful actions had to be judged.

Now Tian Zhu sat in the seiza position before his father, who was seated on a chair several meters ahead. The rest of the family members sat on chairs lined up to his left and right, enclosing the space where Tian Zhu knelt.

Tian Zhu’s face was swollen; Tian Lan had shown him absolutely no mercy. He could have healed all his injuries instantly, but if he did, Tian Lan would simply beat him again and again.

Thus, the only way to avoid further punishment was to let the wounds on his face remain.

He felt ashamed that all his siblings—and even his mother—had to see his face and learn of his behavior over the years.

“Zhu’er, won’t you offer any defense at all?” Tian Shin, Tian Zhu’s father, was the first to speak.

Tian Shin was the ruler of the entire cosmos—an utterly unshakable existence and the strongest entity of all. He was omnipotent and omniscient; nothing could restrain him except himself.

Therefore, Tian Shin deliberately limited his own knowledge of what his family would do, so he could enjoy his time with them. If he knew everything, nothing would be interesting anymore.

In truth, Tian Shin had already sensed that his son would act this way, but he allowed it, knowing that such behavior would eventually come to light.

Tian Zhu’s actions might not seem like a major issue on the surface, but in reality, they caused immense chaos throughout the cosmos. Tian Zhu manipulated reality to make himself the young master of certain families or the master of certain sects, destabilizing reality itself. When he “died,” it caused reality disturbances that even led to disasters in many universes.

And Tian Zhu took no preventive measures at all. Moreover, this was far from the only chaos he had caused.

Tian Zhu swallowed hard. He had no defense to offer, fully aware of how reprehensible his actions had been.

“Brother Zhu, how did you degrade yourself to this extent just for women?” Tian Shui, Tian Zhu’s eldest brother, rubbed his forehead, unable to comprehend his younger brother’s behavior.

“Ah, I won’t comment much,” Tian Fan said indifferently. He did not particularly care what would happen to Tian Zhu, knowing that his brother would never be sentenced to death.

Tian Zhu glanced at his mother, Han Shizu, hoping for her help.

However, his mother merely looked at him with sharp, emotionless eyes. It was obvious that she, too, was angry.

If even his mother refused to help him, then whom could he rely on?

Tian Zhu then looked toward his younger sister, a beautiful woman named Tian Fei. She was the second-strongest person after their father. Although she was only Tian Shin’s adopted daughter, she was already regarded as a true member of the family.

She was the kindest and most understanding among his siblings, so surely…

“Um… Brother Zhu, I can’t help you this time. You’ve gone too far,” Tian Fei said softly.

Even Tian Fei believed that he had crossed the line.

“There’s no need to discuss this any further. Just throw him into the Dou World so he won’t commit such vile acts again,” Tian Lan finally spoke.

Tian Zhu froze, as did all his brothers. Even Tian Shin reacted with visible surprise.

The Dou World was a reversed world. In that place, women possessed masculine traits, while men had feminine ones.

It was a world created by Tian Lan herself to punish men who harmed women.

Any man who entered that world was guaranteed to suffer severe mental trauma afterward—or even commit suicide.

As a genuine lover of women, Tian Zhu absolutely did not want to be sent to that world.

“Sister Lan, isn’t that—”

“Silence! You have no right to refuse here!” Tian Lan cut Tian Zhu off immediately.

Tian Zhu turned his gaze to his father, his eyes silently begging for help, hoping he would not be sent to that world.

“Ahem! Ahem! Very well, listen to me. Perhaps I have a better idea for his punishment,” Tian Shin said, revealing his plan to the family, causing them to pause and think.

“I think that idea isn’t bad,” Tian Shui nodded in agreement.

The rest of Tian Shui’s siblings also nodded, all except Tian Lan, who had yet to respond.

“What about you, Lan’er?” Tian Shin asked.

“Fine. I don’t mind,” Tian Lan crossed her arms over her chest. Although she felt somewhat dissatisfied, it was at least acceptable to her.

“Wait a moment—what kind of punishment is it, exactly?” Tian Zhu felt an inexplicable sense of unease.

“You’ll find out soon enough. Enjoy your new life, Zhu’er,” Tian Shin said, pointing at Tian Zhu. In the next instant, Tian Zhu vanished from where he stood.
