The eerie chanting intensified as the flames burned fiercely on Adrian's skin. The extraction process was gruesome and a torture for both Adrian who was almost in pieces and the poor old elders who had been pouring out their energy for nearly an hour.

The horrified crowd watched in fear as they drained the life force out of the powerless boy. Some thought it was a cowardice behavior, while some felt it was simply service to the realm and for the good of the realm.

Adrian's skin fell off like bread crumbs, piece by piece, as if about to dissipate into the air. But deep inside him was a fiery flame, slowly picking up the pace and gathering momentum, warming up to explode. He stared into the crowd, his eyes fixed on Thomas who simply smiled with an evil grin and cheered with a bottle of wine in hand.

Slowly, Adrian raised his head up, his strength finding its place back to him but in a thousand fold this time. The ground and walls shook violently as a loud roar from nowhere struck the whole place.

Adrian's body burned fiercer, but no longer with the dark purple flames, now with a bright golden flame. The elders held their position, chanting as blood slowly found its way out of their noses and left them in shrieks.

Their eyes glowed with fear and confusion as they stared at the ground beneath them. The runes on the floor, the ones on their clothes and bodies that were glowing with the purple flames flickered and slowly receding into a blinding golden flame.

Fear enveloped them as they struggled to hold on, each of them barely able to control the raging Adrian now. Their eyes flashed at each other, seeing the burn out from the essence they had poured on him, they stared at death in the face.

The oldest elder held fast, but screamed so hard the whole crowd could hear him despite the turbulence in the chambers.

“Lord Thomas!” He almost dropped to the ground but was held with a magical essence from another elder. His eyes were already bulging out as he held the eldest, blood running freely through his nose as he choked, but still held on.

The eldest staggered back to his stance and cried once again.

“The boy's essence... it is not draining! It is multiplying! It's fighting back!"

But Thomas' response was rather defiant and somewhat stupid, considering everything that was going on at the moment.

“Keep chanting, you old fool!” Thomas cursed. “He is a cripple without his core, press harder!" He charged, drinking more wine.

Adrian's mind was a rubble of madness. He could hear Yuki's voice and saw her standing before him, but as a woman with an ethereal light guarding her course. He knelt before her, blood oozing from his nose and she smiled gracefully at him.

“I've lived for hundreds of years as a two tailed spirit. Now I give my life to you, child,” her voice echoed in the nothingness he saw himself kneeling in. “Use it wisely, the bloodline has awoken,” she smiled, tapping his head gently and his mind was immediately filled with a sense of understanding and he now made sense of what was happening to him.

Adrian stared at them as Yuki vanished from his mind. His bones cracked as he was easily breaking free from their whims. Thomas’ eyes widened as he stared at the sight.

Adrian's veins glowed with a golden hue, forcing a blinding light from his body and his eyes burned with a golden flame, splitting it into two.

He let out a loud roar and immediately, power exploded from his body and the five elders were flung backwards, blood spraying from their mouths and slammed into various corners. The sound of their bones shattering and skin squelching alongside their faint cries filled the air. The crowd burst into madness as everyone tried to escape, but the doors were all magically barred. A loud whooshing tore through the place, slamming everything in its path and tearing the people apart.

Adrian dropped to one knee, his body almost given out from the failed extraction. His skin was covered in glowing marks that looked like a circuit formed on him, connecting each path to each other and tethered at his heart.

He raised his head slowly, revealing the now golden eyes with vertical slits, just like that of a beast’s eyes.

Slowly, he forced himself back to his feet, staggering but regaining his stance, moving shakily but gracefully and he turned around to the shaken crowd or perhaps, what was left of them.

The guests who were cheering before were now shaken, trampling on each other and struggling to make their way out. But his thundering voice froze everyone.

He spoke in the old tongue, a language none of them could understand and his voice was no longer his own. It was a terrifying chorus of a thousand roaring beasts and an ancient king, echoing directly into the souls of everyone in the room.

Thomas' grin shifted into something nefarious.

“You silly lot,” his voice echoed. “Get him! Guards!” He cried, rising to his feet at once. “These old hags, get back up. The extraction must continue!”

But before anybody could move, Adrian's body burst into golden flames with a loud horrific roar. The flames didn't burn things, they just glowed with pure beast energy.

Adrian dropped to the ground with a loud thud, coughing out blood endlessly. His bloodline was evolving fast with Yuki's essence, pushing him beyond the Primordial Beast King Physique to evolve to the Supreme Beast Sovereign Physique.

“Yuki,” he muttered, his vision blurred and his breath ragged while the whole place shook.

Her soft voice whispered once again in his mind, but not with a solution.

“You have attained the Supreme Beast Sovereign Physique and it only appears once every hundred thousand years. You are now the Supreme Beast Sovereign cultivator, you can now command any beast like a king,” she explained.

“Why…” his voice was faint and barely audible. “Why is my body fighting me?”

“We have to find a way, your body can't handle this transformation, that's why it's tearing you up from the inside out,” she stated. “Get up, at once!” She ordered.

Thomas' eyes burned with hate as he stared at Adrian struggling back to his feet. Watching his plans fall apart, he knew there was only one option left.

Immediately, he revealed his scythe, took off his cloak and released his full power as the Soul Formation Realm Cultivator. His robe burned with a dark shadowy flame as he floated in the air, his grip on his scythe firm and with a loud cry, he let it out, all out striking Adrian with the scythe.

The hit was strong enough to shatter mountains on the earth realm, or cause an unnatural disturbance in the realm and it slammed right into Adrian's chest and sent him flying across the hall.

He was flung into the air like a weightless entity, Yuki's voice vanished now and Adrian landed frantically into the gardens outside, digging into the ground and burning the flowers with the flames on him.

Thomas moved slowly and freed Marcus from the magic holding him to the table.

“Go, find a place to hide, take Isabella with you,” he ordered, his voice devilishly calm.

“But father,” Marcus pressed.

Thomas stared at him with one daring look of his blackened eyes and immediately, he scampered away, dragging Isabella along, joining the crowd to run.

Adrian's breath hitched in his throat as he lay in the ruined garden, his body completely broken and bleeding from Thomas' brutal attack and incomplete extraction. He sat in his pool of blood, fighting and clutching his stomach, his vision stolen by the pain.

His partially evolved bloodline was desperately trying to heal him, knitting his skin slowly back together, but the damage from Thomas' blow was brutal and happened faster than it could fix.

Thomas moved slowly in the air and landed at his feet, staring at him with cold eyes.

“I underestimated the power of your bloodline and you've proved quite a lot. But I'll just fix my mistake now,” he sneered and grabbed his neck, raised him up and pulled his scythe from his body.

Adrian grinned softly and looked him in the eye, begging for mercy.

Thomas’ face was firm with cruelty as he tightened his grip on Adrian’s neck and watched him choke.

“I'll just kill you and take the bloodline from your corpse,” he spat. “Much easier that way, a corpse can't fight back.”

He tossed him to the ground, his grin hard as he raised his boot, burning with his essence, ready to crush the helpless Adrian once and for all.

Before he could strike him, the sky above them split in two and a blinding light flashed down from the sky with immense aura and a stronger essence.

Adrian’s head throbbed with a violent, rhythmic ache as the morning sunlight pierced through the window. He pushed himself up, grinning as he rubbed his temples. He remembered the meditation chamber. He remembered the flames, the scythe, the triumph of hitting the seventh level. But after Thomas told him to wash up? After dark? Nothing. Just a blurred, static haze and the foul taste of blood in his mouth. A Qi deviation. He must have pushed his new core too hard and blacked out, that was the only explanation to this sudden memory loss. But if it was just exhaustion, why did his stomach twist with a rather suffocating dread? His vision was blurred for a while as he dodged the blinding light sipping from the window, rolling over to the other side of the bed.Yuki was by his side, moving around in circles, swaying her tales and whining endlessly.“What's the matter?” Adrian raised an eyebrow at the white beast, but her response was rather dazzling.“You can't attend the ceremony!” Yuk
