Speed-run Civilization

Jola City

The mellow sun rises over the shifting sands of the Jola Desert. Dawn.Over a ridge, far in the midst of the desert a small city made with leftover wooden pieces of ships and whatnot is filled with people looking like they will drop dead any second as they haven't eaten a proper meal in a while. Winds filled with sand below every few seconds making the scene look more gloomy. Few fishing canoes could be seen at the shores trying to catch fish but to no avail.

Richard, a common fisherman, was trying his best to catch as many fish as he could so that he could help the people in the city. He has been doing this every single day as soon as the sun rises so that starving children in the city can have food but it seems that luck was never on his side. 3 months ago all the nobles in the city left the peasants saying they have been called back to the capital saying that a prince of the empire has been banished to this island so they no longer need to stay in this god-for-saken island making the peasants situation way more troublesome than before why because before even tho they didn't have any sustainable food sources they had trade with the coastal city in the empire but now ever since the blood sucking nobles left not a single ship has come to trade with them. Make no mistake, even when the nobles were here it was still the same, however it was a little bearable because the nobles would bully the people , kill , call the women to their rooms (rape) but still let the peasant buy stuff from them as such they were able to live somewhat but now there is no way for them to get food even trying to fish is useless.

Richard looked at his net and his other fellow fishermen there was hardly anything in the nets but still they had to do this or else everyone would starve as such he was getting ready to throw the net again but he stopped when he saw something on the horizon.

Richard looked at the ship sailing towards the docks without any flag and was confused. If it's a merchant or a noble  then they should have a flag from their kingdom or empire but there was nothing on it? if it's a pirate then a skull but there was nothing at all? Who could it be?

The Ship docked and out came knights, many many knights on horses and cartridges they started marching into the city straight towards the  castle of the city lord in speed.

"looks like they are here…" said Richard in a sad tone

"it looks like our nightmare is getting worst" said another fisherman

One has to know the this city is in this state because of the nobles they looted , raped , killed however they liked that's why even after years this city never developed even if they were in an barren place it can be made into a good place because they had trade but the nobles always brought out most of the food and stuff leaving very little for the peasants and then they would even charge ridiculous taxes if one didn't pay up they would meet with whip or death, if they had daughters or wifes they worst these bloodsuckers would rape them no matter the age if they died then they would just say it was there fault for not paying tax.

As such they feared their early days of suffering were going to continue.

The castle was not that grand, just a stone castle that had hundreds of rooms for workers and the city lord's family and guests. A medium sized Backyard with no trees or plants obviously it's a desert.

I entered the city lords chamber and went straight to the mirror. That's right, I wanted to see what I look like in this new body.

The mirror was actually a silver plate in oval shape that's cleaned so it can reflect things in this era (world) people didn't really know how to make glass so this was how they got ready.

I had red hair that was covering a little portion of my face but it was alright and I had blue eyes with a good handsome face well handsome enough. My skin color was whilte but a little brown I guess because of traveling.

Then I jumped on to my bed that had silk sheets. It was a little hard but alright for now. As such I went straight to sleep. that's right i am sick right he hehe..

(The bed is too hard. How will we have fun if it's like this ah.. You need to make mattress fast darling~)

"Sigh, is there nothing else in your head Aria? huh.. well you might be right he..he.. fuck I am also started thinking these inappraiton things well I will marry her anyway so what's wrong?"

Like so I slipped into the dreamworld…

`Outside the City Lord's Castle`

"Do You think they will help us with anything or they will start collecting taxes?"

"Don't know but I am afraid what this Prince will do to us if we didn't pay up"

"Yeah I heard that he even killed his own mother"

"what!" "what kind of monster had arrived in our life god please save us"

"A kin Slayer! Kids remember don't look into the eyes of these knights , always keep your head low or we won't survive"

Talks like this can be heard all around the city. Many were fearful of the fact that this prince had killed his own mother, this sent chills down their spine. Many were thinking of ways to keep the women away from the knight's eyes. Who knows what these people will do to them.

A Knight in Full Armor riding his horse stopped at the Central stage where announcements were made. He took out a small parchment and started reading it to the people.

"His Highness Eugene Has been Appointed as your new City Lord as Summon few of the City's folk to talk about the future and peoples condition here"

Many in the crowd had grim expressions on their faces. Why  did this devil summon all the good folk who were trying their best to maintain this city? What is he going to do to them? These were the questions in everyone's heads right now even though they wanted to retaliate they can't do anything against 300 knights.

As soon as he finished speaking he zoomed off to the Castle.

When Richard Heard the news he straightened himself he will go meet this new lord but if he tried anything bad for people he will fight even if died he will fight!.

not just him but Jessica the tailor as thought the same thing.

Nille was sure that the lord wouldn't do anything to him because he was the only blacksmith in the city but he still thought that if this lord asked something unreasonably he wouldn't back down.

As such all of them meet up and head towards the castle.

`Purple Town , Kingdom of Yodan , Empire of Ancorna`

In A Grand Garden a burly man sat on a throne like chair , kneeling before him were knights wearing their armor, the man waved his hand to signal them to stand then a woman in very revealing clothes walked in and sat on his lap. He started playing with her breast and asked

"So You are Sure that Prince Landon had him poisended ?"

"Yes my lord, according to our spy in the capital he should be on death's door by now."

"he he he Alright then We need to take advantage of this , Send my knights to capture some peasants to train them as combat slaves to that island"

"Yes my Lord this is the best thing to do according to our records they only have 300 knights we will easily crush them and make it our hidden base for training combet slaves he he he…"

"Yeah No merchant ship or any other ship even passes through there talk less about going to that island this is the best place to have a hidden base to train slaves with this we will be able to take down that warden of the south ha ha ha"

Who was this man? Well he was Duke Rayn Gretos he always wanted to become the warden of the south but he can't just trains more knights or slaves becuase if he strated gahtering more forces then a Duke is allow to keep the kings army will at his doorstep so the only way crush the current warden of the south Duke Vainia who has a bigger army then his and to do that he need a hidden base and after Jola got separated from the empire, it became ideal place.

Ryan was James Ewan's supporter and good friend so he got this news before anybody else after all he asked James for the position of Warden of South if he became the Crown Prince and for that to happen both James and him need an army hidden from the empire.

Soon South of Yodan will be his… Ha ha ha.
