“What the hell is this?! Get out, both of you! Get out, damn it!”

Jack Hall slammed his hand against the window of the white car that had stopped in his yard, after seeing his wife, Elena Moore, making out with his manager.

Earlier, Jack had been busy helping his wife's family decorate the living room with ribbons, flowers, and colorful balloons for some kind of celebration. He had come home early from his business trip out of town, but was not even given a chance to drop his suitcase in the bedroom or change clothes.

Though unsure, Jack assumed that the decorations were for his own birthday. That was why he had returned home earlier than planned, wanting to surprise his beloved wife.

Little did he know, it was Jack himself who would be the one shocked—more accurately, in a state of complete disbelief!

Elena and Victor Exton, Jack's manager, gasped. They had no idea that Jack was home. They got out of the car anxiously.

“Honey, it's not like you think.”

“That's right, Jack. Don't take this the wrong way. It's really not what it looks like. I can explain.” Victor assured.

With a trembling hand Jack pointed his index finger at Victor. “Shut your mouth! In my waking state I can clearly see what you're doing.”

“Jack, you misunderstand. Victor only gave me a ride. He just drove me home after shopping alone. That's all! We didn't do anything inappropriate.”

Jack laughed bitterly. “That's all? Oh, then what did I just see? This guy gave you artificial respiration when you were perfectly healthy? And as a sign of gratitude, you stuck out your tongue? What kind of silliness are you trying to explain?”

Elena pressed her lips together before grabbing Jack's arm. “Honey ....”

“Get your hands off me!” Jack hissed, glaring sharply at his wife, who was shaking her head. “I can’t believe you’re doing this. While I’m working so hard for you and your family, you’re cheating with my boss? You’ve lost your mind, Elena!”

The only reason Jack had stayed quiet and put up with the mistreatment from Elena’s family was because of Elena herself. He didn’t mind living with her annoying parents and siblings for her sake. After almost a year of marriage, they had been a harmonious couple, deeply in love. Jack had never suspected anything because Elena was always so kind and sweet to him. But this time, her true face was revealed.

Not willing to accept the blame so easily, Elena defended herself. “You can’t put all the blame on me, Jack. Don’t you get it? This is all your fault.”

“My fault?” Jack pointed to himself in disbelief.

“YES!” Elena answered loudly and firmly. “If you had just tried a little harder to make me happy, I wouldn’t have betrayed you.”

Jack laughed while placing his hands on his hips. He had certainly put in a lot of effort. Jack was willing to spend day after day outside the city, often working overtime, and still had to complete unreasonable household chores. He ignored Elena's family's discrimination, even acting as if everything was perfectly normal.

So, was his wife really blind or what?

"You are too poor to buy me branded items, dine at upscale restaurants, or live in a luxurious house. I admit you are a hard worker and diligent. But Jack, being full is not enough. Buying clothes and shoes means nothing. I suffer having to restrain myself from going out with my friends because what I have is not enough to sparkle."

Elena complained again, "You always work and work, but there is no result. I know for sure, even if you spend your entire life working, you will never be able to provide me with any luxury, because you are just a salesperson, Jack. Whether you are here with me or not, it does not change the situation. I still have to be patient and patient. Sorry, but I am not that stupid to waste my precious life in poverty."

Jack bowed for a moment without removing the smirk from his face. Below him, he saw a pair of worn-out shoes wrapping his feet. Buying new shoes would clearly not exhaust his salary, but Jack did not do that for Elena.

“Ridiculous.”

Hearing the murmurs from his subordinates, Victor responded, "Jack, you shouldn't blame Elena for your failure as a husband. Elena is just looking for a man she can rely on, someone who can fulfill her desires, and of course, make her happy. You don't have any of those qualities. It's not your wife's fault if she finds that in me. If anyone is to blame in all this, it's clearly you!"

"Absolutely right!" Jack's mother-in-law chimed in. Jack had no idea when she and the others had stood by the door, watching everything unfold. She stepped forward to scold him. "You poor man, you should be thanking Victor for giving Elena what you couldn’t. He’s willingly taken on the responsibilities of being her husband, son-in-law, and even brother-in-law!"

Jack laughed loudly, shaking his head. "Is that what you're saying, Mother, to justify Elena's affair with this damned man?"

"Jack! Watch your words!" his mother-in-law shouted loudly. "I won't allow anyone to insult my daughter's future husband!"

Jack's eyebrows knitted together. "How can Elena have a future husband when I’m still her legal husband?"

"Well then, just get a divorce!" Jack's father-in-law said casually.

"Good idea, Uncle! I’m sure Elena doesn’t want a jobless husband." Victor shifted his gaze to Jack. "Yeah, Jack, you’re right. I’m firing you right this second, with NO SEVERANCE PAY."

Victor walked closer to Jack and whispered, "This is the consequence of daring to insult me."

Jack clenched his fists as his jaw tightened. His eyes reddened, staring at Victor almost without blinking.

Victor laughed, knowing Jack couldn’t do anything. He turned and walked toward Elena. Grasping both of her hands, Victor said, “Elena Moore, would you marry me?”

“Damn, what the hell is this? How dare you propose to my wife in front of me?!”

Victor’s eyes challenged Jack. He curled one side of his lip and rolled his eyes before saying, “Aren’t you two getting a divorce? As a good boyfriend, shouldn’t I propose to Elena? She’s incredible, and there isn’t a man who wouldn’t be tempted by her.”

“Boyfriend?!”

“Yes! Elena and Victor have been dating for three months. What was the point of the decorations you put up in the living room earlier? It was clearly for their engagement party!” said the brother-in-law while glaring at Jack.

Jack smirked, looking at everyone one by one. His jaw tightened, recalling that in the past three months, he had always been on official duty outside the city every week.

“Jack, you know as well as I do that if it weren’t for Victor, our divorce would have happened a long time ago. I have given you a chance, but you still ended up being the loser.”

Elena opened Victor’s car door to get something and handed it to Jack. “This is the divorce file. I should have given this to you next week. But since you already know what’s really going on today, it’s better. Getting divorced quicker will be better for both of us.”

Jack stared at the map filled with divorce documents. The sweet memories of marrying Elena flashed through his mind.

[Ding!]

[Host detected! The Super Wealth System will be installed shortly!]

"W-what?" Jack didn't understand the voice in his head.

He didn’t even know who was speaking. However, after that, Jack felt something coursing through his entire body, accelerating his heartbeat and making his blood pulse rapidly.

Jack felt short of breath, his chest rising and falling, his face reddening and feeling hot. He felt like he was about to explode until his body went into convulsions.

[Installation complete. Congratulations Mr. Jack Hall, you are now the Host of the Super Wealth System. As a greeting, a balance of $100 million has successfully been added to your bank account.]

In the front yard, Jack and Emma continued their conversation while Grandma took an afternoon nap. They talked about the unexpected things that had happened since that morning.“I hope you’ll feel comfortable working at your new place,” Jack said, gazing deeply at Emma. In his heart, he was determined to make that hope come true.Emma smiled. “I’m optimistic everything will get better. Working at Redwave Group is the dream of so many people.”“That’s good.”“Do you know why I feel so confident?”“Tell me.”“Because of you. I don’t know why, but ever since I met you, I’ve felt much more… safe.”Jack chuckled softly. “Alright then, I guess I’m a security guard now.”Emma shook her head. “Not like that. You know, maybe you don’t realize it, but you always help me out of trouble.”“Oh, so now I’m a locksmith.”“Jack, you keep joking.”“Well… it seems I have talent as a comedian.”They laughed together. Slowly, the atmosphere grew quiet as their laughter faded.“I’m sorry for rudely turnin

Emma excitedly shared the good news with her grandmother. She beamed as she showed off the paper bag she had received from Redwave Group.Jack watched Emma’s radiant face as she took the contents out of the bag.“Grandma, it still feels too hard to believe. I—I’ve never experienced an interview this easy and fast before. I was accepted right away! And look, they even gave me these clothes.”“Redwave Group is a giant corporation, after all. Before going to the interview, I searched for a lot of information about their recruitment process online.”“From the reviews and comments I read, ninety-five percent of people said how incredibly difficult it is to pass the employee selection at Redwave Group. Many of them had to try several times before getting in. And quite a few failed repeatedly and eventually looked for work elsewhere.”“Oh my God, this is amazing. Look! These uniforms are so nice and high-quality. I feel like jumping up and down because I’m so happy!” Emma exclaimed as she he

Emma’s jaw dropped before a wide smile spread across her face. She clapped her hands and even hopped in place, like a child who had just been allowed to play in the rain.It might sound improper, but she was genuinely happy to see Jack acting a little… 'evil'.“No! I won’t do it!” Elena shouted fiercely. She stood up on her own, ignoring Victor’s outstretched hand that was about to help her.“It’s fine,” Jack said indifferently. He took Emma’s hand. “Let’s go home. Grandma is already waiting for us.”“But—”Emma felt a bit disappointed that Jack didn’t force Victor and Elena to comply with his condition. Not because she wanted them to clean her shoes, but because she wanted to show the two of them that Jack now had 'authority' that they couldn’t act however they pleased anymore.“Our business here is done. Let’s just leave,” Jack said with a smile.Emma couldn’t refuse him. She nodded weakly and replied in a low, unenthusiastic voice, “Alright.”To be honest, the situation put Victor

Jack didn’t stop Emma when she took the initiative to turn off his phone. He simply smiled as he listened to her ranting about Victor and Elena.Emma’s grumbling finally came to a halt when she received a message from the Head of HR, instructing her to pick up her uniform at the reception desk. Although she felt puzzled, remembering that earlier the receptionists had been wearing different outfits, Emma still invited Jack to head to the main lobby with her. When they arrived in front of one of the reception desks, Emma turned her head as a receptionist from another counter called out to her.“Miss Wexler!”The woman waved with a smile, carrying a floral-patterned paper bag.Emma smiled and tugged on Jack’s hand before approaching her.“Is that my uniform?”“Yes! This is all yours.”The senior receptionist glanced briefly at Jack before giving a small nod.Emma turned to Jack, then accepted the paper bag with a radiant smile.Just as she was in such a cheerful mood, Emma was shocked by

“Madam, I can’t do that,” Victor refused immediately.Elena followed at once. “Me neither. T-that doesn’t make any sense.”To both of them, kneeling before Jack was the lowest form of humiliation. In their eyes, Jack was nothing more than someone beneath them, someone not even worthy of sitting on equal ground with them. So why should they lower themselves before a man whose status was far below theirs? But Daisy didn’t bother arguing. She said firmly, “That’s up to you. What you need to understand is that this is not an offer, it’s an order. And you already know the consequences of defying the Director.”Victor and Elena swallowed hard.Daisy stood up.“You have fifteen minutes. Make sure you don’t waste them.”“Madam, wait… Madam…” Victor called out after Daisy as she left the room. But she didn’t respond at all.Victor slumped back into his seat in frustration. Mr. Philanthropy had truly cornered him.“Victor, what are we supposed to do? I don’t want to apologize, let alone kneel

Victor and Elena grew even more tense. Especially after seeing the cold expression on Daisy’s face once she ended the call with Mr. Philanthropy. They had no idea what kind of fate awaited them next. Their heads hung low; neither of them dared to lift their gaze.Daisy clenched her fists.“Just a moment ago, you were even threatening me. So tell me, what’s weighing so heavily on your heads now that you don’t even dare to look at me?”Still keeping his head lowered, Victor said, “I am truly sorry, Madam. Y-you may ask me to do anything, as long as I’m still allowed to come here again in the future to submit another proposal.”“I refuse,” Daisy replied coldly. If it weren’t for Jack’s instructions, she would have slapped and thrown them out long ago. But she knew very well, what Jack wanted would strike them far harder. Not physically… but mentally.“But you’re lucky,” Daisy said after sitting down across from Victor and Elena. Both of them instinctively lifted their heads, staring at D
