“What the hell is this?! Get out, both of you! Get out, damn it!”

Jack Hall slammed his hand against the window of the white car that had stopped in his yard, after seeing his wife, Elena Moore, making out with his manager.

Earlier, Jack had been busy helping his wife's family decorate the living room with ribbons, flowers, and colorful balloons for some kind of celebration. He had come home early from his business trip out of town, but was not even given a chance to drop his suitcase in the bedroom or change clothes.

Though unsure, Jack assumed that the decorations were for his own birthday. That was why he had returned home earlier than planned, wanting to surprise his beloved wife.

Little did he know, it was Jack himself who would be the one shocked—more accurately, in a state of complete disbelief!

Elena and Victor Exton, Jack's manager, gasped. They had no idea that Jack was home. They got out of the car anxiously.

“Honey, it's not like you think.”

“That's right, Jack. Don't take this the wrong way. It's really not what it looks like. I can explain.” Victor assured.

With a trembling hand Jack pointed his index finger at Victor. “Shut your mouth! In my waking state I can clearly see what you're doing.”

“Jack, you misunderstand. Victor only gave me a ride. He just drove me home after shopping alone. That's all! We didn't do anything inappropriate.”

Jack laughed bitterly. “That's all? Oh, then what did I just see? This guy gave you artificial respiration when you were perfectly healthy? And as a sign of gratitude, you stuck out your tongue? What kind of silliness are you trying to explain?”

Elena pressed her lips together before grabbing Jack's arm. “Honey ....”

“Get your hands off me!” Jack hissed, glaring sharply at his wife, who was shaking her head. “I can’t believe you’re doing this. While I’m working so hard for you and your family, you’re cheating with my boss? You’ve lost your mind, Elena!”

The only reason Jack had stayed quiet and put up with the mistreatment from Elena’s family was because of Elena herself. He didn’t mind living with her annoying parents and siblings for her sake. After almost a year of marriage, they had been a harmonious couple, deeply in love. Jack had never suspected anything because Elena was always so kind and sweet to him. But this time, her true face was revealed.

Not willing to accept the blame so easily, Elena defended herself. “You can’t put all the blame on me, Jack. Don’t you get it? This is all your fault.”

“My fault?” Jack pointed to himself in disbelief.

“YES!” Elena answered loudly and firmly. “If you had just tried a little harder to make me happy, I wouldn’t have betrayed you.”

Jack laughed while placing his hands on his hips. He had certainly put in a lot of effort. Jack was willing to spend day after day outside the city, often working overtime, and still had to complete unreasonable household chores. He ignored Elena's family's discrimination, even acting as if everything was perfectly normal.

So, was his wife really blind or what?

"You are too poor to buy me branded items, dine at upscale restaurants, or live in a luxurious house. I admit you are a hard worker and diligent. But Jack, being full is not enough. Buying clothes and shoes means nothing. I suffer having to restrain myself from going out with my friends because what I have is not enough to sparkle."

Elena complained again, "You always work and work, but there is no result. I know for sure, even if you spend your entire life working, you will never be able to provide me with any luxury, because you are just a salesperson, Jack. Whether you are here with me or not, it does not change the situation. I still have to be patient and patient. Sorry, but I am not that stupid to waste my precious life in poverty."

Jack bowed for a moment without removing the smirk from his face. Below him, he saw a pair of worn-out shoes wrapping his feet. Buying new shoes would clearly not exhaust his salary, but Jack did not do that for Elena.

“Ridiculous.”

Hearing the murmurs from his subordinates, Victor responded, "Jack, you shouldn't blame Elena for your failure as a husband. Elena is just looking for a man she can rely on, someone who can fulfill her desires, and of course, make her happy. You don't have any of those qualities. It's not your wife's fault if she finds that in me. If anyone is to blame in all this, it's clearly you!"

"Absolutely right!" Jack's mother-in-law chimed in. Jack had no idea when she and the others had stood by the door, watching everything unfold. She stepped forward to scold him. "You poor man, you should be thanking Victor for giving Elena what you couldn’t. He’s willingly taken on the responsibilities of being her husband, son-in-law, and even brother-in-law!"

Jack laughed loudly, shaking his head. "Is that what you're saying, Mother, to justify Elena's affair with this damned man?"

"Jack! Watch your words!" his mother-in-law shouted loudly. "I won't allow anyone to insult my daughter's future husband!"

Jack's eyebrows knitted together. "How can Elena have a future husband when I’m still her legal husband?"

"Well then, just get a divorce!" Jack's father-in-law said casually.

"Good idea, Uncle! I’m sure Elena doesn’t want a jobless husband." Victor shifted his gaze to Jack. "Yeah, Jack, you’re right. I’m firing you right this second, with NO SEVERANCE PAY."

Victor walked closer to Jack and whispered, "This is the consequence of daring to insult me."

Jack clenched his fists as his jaw tightened. His eyes reddened, staring at Victor almost without blinking.

Victor laughed, knowing Jack couldn’t do anything. He turned and walked toward Elena. Grasping both of her hands, Victor said, “Elena Moore, would you marry me?”

“Damn, what the hell is this? How dare you propose to my wife in front of me?!”

Victor’s eyes challenged Jack. He curled one side of his lip and rolled his eyes before saying, “Aren’t you two getting a divorce? As a good boyfriend, shouldn’t I propose to Elena? She’s incredible, and there isn’t a man who wouldn’t be tempted by her.”

“Boyfriend?!”

“Yes! Elena and Victor have been dating for three months. What was the point of the decorations you put up in the living room earlier? It was clearly for their engagement party!” said the brother-in-law while glaring at Jack.

Jack smirked, looking at everyone one by one. His jaw tightened, recalling that in the past three months, he had always been on official duty outside the city every week.

“Jack, you know as well as I do that if it weren’t for Victor, our divorce would have happened a long time ago. I have given you a chance, but you still ended up being the loser.”

Elena opened Victor’s car door to get something and handed it to Jack. “This is the divorce file. I should have given this to you next week. But since you already know what’s really going on today, it’s better. Getting divorced quicker will be better for both of us.”

Jack stared at the map filled with divorce documents. The sweet memories of marrying Elena flashed through his mind.

[Ding!]

[Host detected! The Super Wealth System will be installed shortly!]

"W-what?" Jack didn't understand the voice in his head.

He didn’t even know who was speaking. However, after that, Jack felt something coursing through his entire body, accelerating his heartbeat and making his blood pulse rapidly.

Jack felt short of breath, his chest rising and falling, his face reddening and feeling hot. He felt like he was about to explode until his body went into convulsions.

[Installation complete. Congratulations Mr. Jack Hall, you are now the Host of the Super Wealth System. As a greeting, a balance of $100 million has successfully been added to your bank account.]

Otherwise, Victor should be the one to resign.Victor drove while listening to her with a serious expression. Several times, he nodded, clearly agreeing with Elena's suggestions."I'll do it.""Good, my darling." Elena reached over and held Victor's hand. "Don't give someone who deliberately wants to hurt you even the slightest chance to escape punishment."Victor let out a long sigh.Everything Elena said sounded reasonable. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, he felt hesitant for the first time. An uneasy feeling settled over him, as though his subconscious was urging him to turn around and go home."You'll definitely become CEO, darling. I'm absolutely ce

The luxurious mansion that had once been quiet was now filled with loud shouting erupting from Victor's study."Elena! Elena!!""Victor, what's wrong?! Why are you shouting so early in the morning?" Elena asked irritably after her fiancé had startled her awake."Ugh..." Elena groaned softly, clutching her aching head after being jolted from sleep."Elena... I've lost... I'm finished! I've been ruined!! Argh...!"Victor ended his lament with a long, agonized groan, as though a spear had pierced straight through his heart.Completely unaware of what had happened, Elena knitted her brows in unease."What are you talking about?"Victor shot to his feet and jabbed a finger at his laptop screen."Isn't it obvious enough?" he shouted. "I've been fired! Do you hear me? I've been fired!!"Elena's eyes widened as if they were about to pop out of their sockets."What?! No... No."She forced a bitter smile."That's impossible..."Bending over, Elena read the message displayed on Victor's work lap

Greg and Rapth stood in Ava's kitchen, taking turns gulping down water like men dying of thirst in the middle of a desert. They drank hastily, one glass after another. There was a reason for their frantic behavior. Even after several glasses of water, they were still gasping for breath."What are you two doing here?!"Ava's sudden arrival startled them so badly that they instinctively screamed and clung to each other.Their ridiculous behavior made Ava's brow furrow. She planted both hands on her hips."Do you want to get yourselves fired?!" she shouted.Greg and Rapth quickly let go of each other. Bowing repeatedly, they apologized to Ava."If anyone else saw the way you're acting, they'd laugh at me for paying a pair of cowards to be my bodyguards!""Ma'am, if you had seen what we saw, you wouldn't even dare step out of your room," Greg said, his face still ghostly pale.Ava stepped closer to the two guards. She peeked outside before lowering her voice."What happened to Marco Ring?

Marco’s scream tore through the room before anyone could say a word.It wasn’t a single cry, but a long, broken sound that snapped halfway through, turning into a hoarse roar that barely resembled a human voice.“Stop—STOP—!”His breath caught in his throat, his body stiffened, then convulsed violently. The pain felt endless, arriving all at once, not as a single point, but as waves that emptied his mind completely. He screamed because there was nothing else he could do. Words broke apart in his throat. His breathing became utterly chaotic. His body went rigid, then trembled uncontrollably.Marco begged for it to end, even though he knew it wouldn’t stop anything. But how could his mouth remain silent when it felt as if he were on the brink of death?Every second felt unbearably long. Ava’s throat felt constricted. It was as if a sharp thorn were lodged inside it, making even the act of swallowing painful. Mr. Hall seemed to be able to read her thoughts. It couldn’t be denied, earlier, Ava had indeed planned to give Laura a harsh warning once they were out of Mr. Hall’s supervision. But now, she truly didn’t dare try to defy him.“Very well, Mr. Hall,” Ava said with a fearful smile. “You can trust me.”She smiled again at Laura. “Come, Miss.” In an instant, she transformed into someone polite, gentle, and almost virtuous.“W-what about us, Sir?” Greg asked, gathering his courage. Rapth waited anxiously for the answer.“Stay here. Move the old man onto the bed. When the doctor arrives, he will receive his punishment.”Ava, who had just stepped past the doorway, widened her eyes upon hearing Jack’s words. She was afraid Jack might change his mind because she was too slow to carry out his orders, and that she, too, would receive punishment like Marco Ring.'Does Mr. H

  • Chapter 69

Jack cast a brief glance at Laura before turning his gaze back to Marco. The look in his eyes held such immense fury that the whites were stained red.“You treated Miss Kills like an inanimate object,” he said through clenched teeth. “You took pleasure in her pain. You built your enjoyment from her screams, from her trauma.”Jack’s jaw hardened.“Someone like you doesn’t deserve a quick ending.”Marco shook his head weakly. “I–I… I can pay. Whatever you want…”Jack ignored him.He pulled his phone from his pocket. His movements were calm, far too calm for a situation this brutal. Jack dialed a number he had been calling frequently lately.“Hello, Mr. Hall. Is there something you need?” Jack’s secretary, Rafael Lewis, asked respectfully.“I need a specialized surgeon,” Jack said, concise and firm. “The best one. Have him brought to Paradise Roadway within ten minutes.”He paused, listening to the response on the other end.“Yes. An emergency case,” he concluded. “Make sure he comes.”T
