"Huh?"

Jack blinked in surprise as a transparent screen suddenly appeared in front of him with a message that made no sense. However, moments later, the screen disappeared when his phone in his pocket vibrated, indicating an incoming message. He looked at it, and a notification popped up that made his eyes widen.

‘[Greatest Bank] Your account ending in xxx77 has received a balance of USD 100,000,000.00.’

"Impossible."

At first, Jack thought the strange screen he had seen and the voice he had heard were just hallucinations caused by his chaotic thoughts and emotions. But it turned out it was real—he had actually received 100 million dollars!

Clearly, it was an enormous amount! In fact, it was the largest balance Jack had ever had. Even if he had spent his entire life as the top sales with high sales, he would never have reached that figure, even if all his earnings were accumulated.

Jack couldn’t understand how this had happened. What he remembered was that just before, his whole body had felt excruciating pain, to the point where he thought he was going to die. But then, the pain faded completely, as if it had never happened. In fact, he felt more energized now.

"Hey, loser, wake up! You’ve been thrown out. No one wants you anymore. So, hurry up and finish this. Take the papers and sign them!" His brother-in-law, Tommy Moore, urged him. His voice snapped Jack out of his daze.

Jack looked around at the people nearby. He realized that no one else could see the transparent screen except for him.

Although he was still confused about what had happened to him, Jack’s mind drifted back to the memory of his wife’s affair when their eyes met. In an instant, Jack’s teeth clenched, his chest burned, and his throat felt like it was choking.

Seeing the anger on Jack's face, his mother-in-law became irritated. "Stop acting ridiculous! We are the ones who have the right to be angry here, because we are the victims. As for you, you should be grateful that we've taken you in. If it weren't for our kindness and generosity, you'd have been a beggar long ago!"

"Mom, enough. I don't want any more drama. And Jack... I want us to part on good terms, without any drama," Elena said, shooting her husband a sharp look. "Listen, even if you kneel and kiss my feet, I still want a divorce. So, don’t stop me again."

To her surprise, Jack quickly responded, "Okay."

Elena froze for a moment because she had imagined Jack would cry, holding onto her feet, begging her to stay together. Then Jack would offer all sorts of things to convince her. Elena's assumption wasn’t unreasonable, considering how Jack had always seemed to love her deeply, unable to live without her, willing to do anything for her.

Who would have thought Jack’s response would be the opposite? His voice sounded so confident.

Elena clenched the fabric of her skirt, realizing that Jack didn’t seem to care at all about the divorce. Half-shouting, she challenged him, "Okay! Then hurry up and sign these divorce papers!"

"Of course." Jack took the divorce papers Elena handed him and quickly signed them. Then, he pulled Victor’s hand.

“What are you going to do?" Elena cried out in panic, fearing Jack might take out his anger on Victor.

Ignoring his ex-wife, Jack smiled at his former boss, "Thank you for taking a bunch of parasites off my hands. Good luck moving forward!" He patted Victor on the shoulder.

Everyone's mouths dropped open in disbelief!

"How dare you! Get out of this house!" Tommy, who had grabbed Jack’s suitcase, threw it at him. "Take your junk scooter too." He pointed to the scooter that Jack’s sister-in-law, Helen Moore, had just pulled out of the garage.

"Father-in-law, the garage needs to be expanded to fit the car I’m gifting you," Victor said, making Elena's family excited.

Jack gave a crooked smile. He picked up his suitcase and walked toward the scooter. People laughed at him, celebrating his expulsion, including Elena. Before leaving the house, he had bought with his savings, Jack turned to look at them.

‘You will regret this,’ Jack thought.

On purpose, Victor wrapped his arm around Elena’s waist. "Honey, Jack is waiting for a farewell wave from you."

"That’s not necessary. We should go inside now. Two good things should be celebrated, right? Our engagement and my divorce from Jack."

They cheered as if they had won the lottery, leaving Jack alone in the yard.

Jack sat on the scooter. The engine roared to life. He sighed and closed his eyes.

[Ding!]

[An additional balance of 10 trillion dollars has been added to your bank account!]

"What?" Jack’s eyes widened so much it seemed like they might pop out.

[Congratulations, Sir. You are now free from the parasitic family. Please accept this gift from me. Don’t forget to celebrate!]

Jack frowned. First, it was 100 million dollars, and now 10 trillion dollars? Just thinking about it made Jack too afraid to imagine.

How could someone receive such a huge sum of money so easily? Impossible!

However, as before, to dismiss Jack’s doubts, a notification from Greatest Bank came through, informing him of a transaction adding funds to his account.

Jack turned off the scooter. With trembling hands, he opened his mobile banking app to confirm. Once his PIN was entered, Jack’s eyes widened again. "No way..."

Jack remembered the mysterious voice he had heard earlier. Hesitantly, he called out, "Super Wealth System?"

[Yes, sir. You can call me ‘System’ for short.]

"Why are you giving me so much money?"

[Because you have been chosen as the Host of this system, sir. I will stay attached to you and cannot be transferred to anyone else. Not only money, but various skills and other interesting rewards can be obtained once you complete missions.]

"Missions?"

[Correct. Various missions will be given, with rewards that match! Today, you’ve divorced your unruly wife. I’m happy for you. You deserve a woman of a higher class. Celebrate your freedom, sir! A five-star restaurant is just two kilometers away.]

Jack chuckled at the System’s tone, which seemed almost annoyed with Elena. He started his scooter again to head out. "Alright, I’ll have some fun!"

Jack's answer made Emma laugh happily. People who suddenly appear and act arrogantly do look like people who have lost their minds. Jack's smile became wider at Emma's laughter."Jack, just tell me that you're ashamed of my future husband. We're sitting sweetly in a luxury car, not hot, not smelling of dust and sweat, while you go everywhere still on your rusty scooter. Pathetic!"Emma's eyes opened wide. She couldn't believe it. "She knows your name?""Never mind names, the contents of Jack's old wallet, even how worn out his underwear is, I know. Haha!"Jack threw a glare at the woman beside the arrogant car driver. Meanwhile, Emma covered her mouth with her hand at the woman's inappropriate remarks."Elena, you made your ex-husband angry again. What if he sulks and doesn't want to come to our wedding? Who will help the servants wipe the plates and spoons? And who will pick up the leftovers from the table? Haha!"Emma was stunned. She found out that the insolent woman in the car was

Jack closed his eyes. He prepared himself in case Emma vented her disappointment and frustration at being lied to. At least there was Laura who could bear witness that it all started with a misunderstanding."That's right! Jack is now working as a waiter at The Groove Spot. I mean, before becoming a waiter, did Jack like to share anything with others?"Jack opened and blinked. His face looked shocked, but also relieved to hear Emma's words. He held back his smile. But this was not the case with Laura. Her facial expression became more difficult. The wrinkles on her forehead became more numerous.Laura didn't understand why a conglomerate like Mr. Hall should be a waiter in a karaoke place. In a low and hesitant voice she said, "But..."Not wanting things to get complicated, Jack quickly interjected, "Miss Kills, um, I think we should leave now. This is Emma's first time going to the Redwave Group building. She should get there early so she can get acclimated." Jack closed with a crisp

Jack inserted his fingers between Emma's fingers. The scene was exactly like when they were about to enter The Foot Locker."I told you, I'll pay for it. Don't worry."Emma obeyed, stepping after Jack while occasionally letting out a long breath. She was still confused and worried, but Jack's hand was enough to calm her down.Jack made Emma sit on the waiting chair. "Just a moment, I'll be right back." "Please don't waste your money. It's not too late to leave now. If you explain to them nicely, I think they will understand. It might be a little annoying, but, those shoes are still intact without any damage. They can sell them again to other visitors."Emma's long words were answered by Jack with a short, "I understand."Jack went to the cashier's desk by himself. He didn't want to surprise Emma because he was going to make the payment using a black card. A few weeks ago, his personal assistant had sent him the card to facilitate the transaction. When Jack took out the card, the cash

The System has detected a woman who underestimates the Host's wealth!]Jack placed a hand in front of his mouth, before folding his lips inward to keep from laughing at the System's voice. He understood that, as his main financial sponsor, Emma's words might sound offensive to System.[Sir, Emma would faint if she saw your account book.]'You're right. I'd better not let Emma see it.'[Sir, you're out of line!]"How about this one?" Emma asked Laura as she pointed to the other shoe next to the mary jane loafers."Good choice, Emma. These are from the Ellevoir brand. Comfortable and cushioned flat shoes, made from premium leather too. The design is simple, but still feminine.""Yes, that's right, Laura.""Also, the stitching on these shoes is neat and strong, so they'll last longer. The store assistant’s expression shifted the moment her eyes landed on the woman standing beside Jack. She was still smiling, but it was no longer bright or carefree. She hesitated, dropping her arms as she noticed Jack’s hand intertwined with the woman’s.“Miss Kills?” Jack’s face lit up with a wide smile. His voice was full of excitement as he asked, “You work here?”The woman who was both surprised and delighted by Jack's arrival at The Foot Locker was none other than Laura Kills, the prostitute who used to live in the Paradise Roadway brothel on Bogettin Street. This was Laura's second meeting with Jack after a long time apart. It was still vivid in Laura's memory how sweet and warm Jack Hall was. To her, Jack was like an angel who had shown up with love and compassion, and then vanished without ever seeking praise or reward.“Sir, please… don’t call me that,” Laura said with a soft, almost pleading tone. “I don’t deserve it. You can just call me by my name.” She gave a polite bow
