Fiya, shouting, says,

Li Chan turns around to look at Kuro and another friend, Jin, who are standing at the showroom's entrance, both with serious and intense expressions.

Fiya, looking at Young Master Jin, points toward Li Chan.

"Young Master… this guy… he was trying to touch the car. I was trying to stop him..."

The lines of anger on Jin's face deepen. His teeth clench.

He thinks to himself

"You wretch... why were you even 'trying'...!?"

Then, looking into Fiya's eyes, he says in a cold but firm tone,

"You didn't just stop him... You misbehaved. You were rude to him. Alright then go to the counter, collect your salary... and leave this place forever."

The ground slips from beneath Fiya's feet.

Her throat dries up, and tears well up in her eyes. She thinks to herself,

"What... what did I do wrong...?"

Then she looks at Li Chan... for a few moments, silence hangs in the air.

In the next moment Fiya, crawling on her knees across the shiny showroom floor, moves toward Li Chan. Her face is soaked with tears.

Li Chan looks at her in slight surprise, taken aback by the extreme change in her behaviour.

Then Fiya grabs his feet

"If anything happened to that car... I would have had to pay a fine too. I was following the showroom's policy. I really need this job... I'm the only one earning in my family... and my father... my father is ill..."

Hearing this, Li Chan is momentarily stunned.

His eyes meet Fiya's now completely wet, filled with genuine pain and helplessness.

Something softens in his heart. Taking a deep breath, he turns to Jin and says,

"This car should be delivered to my university by tomorrow. I have to go abroad in a few days."

In the morning, Li Chan wakes up startled from his bed, thinking,

He thinks to himself,

A voice from the other side says,

"Sir, this is Fiya speaking. Your car is ready. It will be delivered to your hostel in an hour."

Li Chan, happily, says,

"Alright, good."

Then, looking at his phone, he thinks,

"I also have to go to Hao's office today."

He opens the Dragon Den group and thinks,

"I had told Mei to come with me… but I don't have her number... let's check the group."

He finds Mei's number. Li Chan immediately calls her.

Mei, at that moment, is sitting at a café table in an elegant white dress. Her hair is neatly tied up. Her eyes, behind her glasses, are fixed on her laptop screen. She holds a coffee cup in her hands.

Just then, her phone rings.
