Chapter 11: Long Journey

At that moment, she immediately heard the sound of helicopter engines roaring, from afar over a dozen helicopters were flying towards them, each carrying a long white canvas behind them, used for mourning and expressing sorrow for the deceased.

These helicopters were also towing a large tourist yacht, slowly moving in this direction.

And Richard was standing on the yacht, hands clasped behind his back, standing there proudly.

Along the Willow Creek river, a black car was driving on the road, Darius and Edgar were sitting in that car.

Looking at the riverbank after it had been demolished and relocated, Edgar laughed: "Grandpa, look at this, the entire area along Willow Creek has been demolished. And yet, today, Richard wants to hold a memorial ceremony for his brother. I wonder who gave him the courage to say such things, guessing today he won’t even be able to get close to the riverbank."

Darius glanced over and sneered: "Such a loser like Richard shouldn’t be mentioned in the future. If you have too much free time, you should spend it learning more."

"Yes, grandfather, I understand."

As they drove on, Edgar suddenly pointed outside the car window and said: "Grandpa, look, why are there so many helicopters?"

Darius looked out the car window to see dozens of helicopters in the sky, each with a long white canvas banner, as if mourning someone.

"Could it be."

Darius quickly shook his head and smiled disdainfully, he did not want to mention the name that disgusted him.

"Grandpa, see what that is?"

Darius squinted and saw a ship splitting the water, slowly approaching from afar.

On the deck, a man was standing tall with his head held high.

The wind blew through his hair, his stance proud.

This figure was very familiar.

Darius frowned, if the man he was thinking of was indeed the person in question, then the situation would be very troublesome.

"Let's go over there and have a look."

"Yes."

The car drove into the blocked area and stopped about a hundred meters from the riverbank.

Darius and Edgar got out of the car to observe.

This time, they could clearly see that the man standing tall on the boat was none other than Richard, the very person they had always deemed worthless!!!

"How could this be?"

A great fear was slowly rising in Darius's heart. He had thought Richard was just bragging and could not possibly organize a memorial ceremony for Andrew.

Who could have imagined that not only did Richard manage it, but he also did so on a grand and solemn scale?

"Richard, how could he do this?" Darius was very confused, even feeling a bit regretful. He should not have severed ties with Richard that day, or at least should not have been so definitive about it.

Edgar was so shocked by the scene before him that his eyes bulged and his mouth gaped open. Dozens of helicopters, a guest yacht running on schedule, and holding a memorial ceremony during such a sensitive time, even the James family could not have such great power.

But someone they had looked down on like Richard had actually achieved it.

"Am I seeing things?"

At this moment, all the people around ran over to watch, their eyes bulging and mouths gaping open as well.

"Which high-ranking official is here to hold a memorial ceremony?"

"I don't know, but anyone who can create such a scene must be no ordinary person."

"Today is the day of demolition and relocation, yet this dignitary shows no fear, boldly holding a memorial ceremony on the riverbank, truly impressive."

Serena was the most terrified person here.

She could never have imagined that the husband she always deemed worthless was actually so powerful.

Tears filled Serena's eyes as she watched the yacht slowly approaching.

After a while, the yacht also stopped.

Richard descended the stairs, followed closely by a group of people from the boat, each carrying a large bouquet of flowers.

They respectfully placed the fresh flowers in front of the grave and stood aside.

Richard walked over to stand next to Serena, saying nothing, just silently standing with her in front of the grave.

Serena had many questions she wanted to ask, but now was clearly not the right time, so she quietly stood beside him, paying respects to his brother.

Suddenly.

An SUV drove straight in, followed by three large trucks.

Bang, bang, bang.

The car doors were opened one by one, and a group of tall men holding various sharp weapons got out, easily numbering forty to fifty people.

Leading them were Brian and Eric.

"What's going on here?"

"Don't you know this place has been sealed off?"

"Everyone, clear off now!"

Eric's shout immediately broke the solemn atmosphere.

Richard frowned, slowly turning to glance at Eric: "Today is my brother's birthday. I don't want to fight, so you better leave quickly. Whatever accounts you want to settle, just note them down. I'll deal with you slowly some other day."

"When? Settle accounts?"

Eric smirked, pointing towards the tall men holding weapons behind him: "Open your dog eyes and look, I brought people today. Richard, no matter how powerful you are, can you fight against ten, twenty, or thirty people alone?"

"Just so you know, we are here for the demolition and relocation work. Today, we're not only going to drive you away but also demolish that grave."

"In short, we're here to demolish Andrew's grave!"

Hearing these words, Richard clenched his fists tightly, his eyes filled with murderous intent, angrier than he had ever been before.

"Today is Andrew's birthday. I really didn't want to get angry."

"But if you scum insist on courting death, I have no choice."

Brian stepped forward, removing his sunglasses and blowing on them: "Richard, still spouting nonsense? Bringing a helicopter and a tourist yacht today, what good does that do? You only have twenty people here, and you think you can fight against me?"

Richard laughed out loud: "There's something you might be mistaken about. These are just the appetizers. The real memorial ceremony officially begins now."

No sooner had he finished speaking than many honking sounds were heard from afar.

Then, a line of long, deep black Lincoln cars followed into the sealed area.

Ten cars!

Thirty cars!

Fifty cars!

A hundred cars!

A hundred luxurious long Lincoln cars were entering, forming a huge circle, and just parking these supercars alone took almost an hour.

Seeing the number of Lincolns here made Brian involuntarily swallow.

Just one of these cars is worth over five million, and here there are a hundred of them, isn't that a value of five hundred million!

Even if these cars do nothing, their mere presence is enough to oppress others breathlessly.
