"You pulled me from the dark abyss." The Su Patriarch spoke with a raw raspy voice.

He sat upright against the silk pillows and stared at Ye Tian. The deadly frost no longer gripped his veins. The old man possessed decades of ruthless business experience but he now looked at the young man with pure unadulterated reverence.

"Your doctors nearly sent you to an early grave." Ye Tian replied calmly.

"I felt the ice creeping into my heart." The Patriarch shivered at the memory. "I was drowning in a frozen ocean. You shattered the ice with a single bowl of medicine. You possess the skills of a mythical deity."

Ye Tian did not smile. He accepted the praise as a simple statement of fact.

"Su Zheng, bring me the black lockbox from the wall safe." The Patriarch commanded his son.

Su Zheng hurried across the bedroom. He punched a code into the steel wall panel and retrieved a velvet box. He opened it and placed a set of gold keys and a property deed on the mattress.

"This is Dragon Spring Villa." The Patriarch pushed the items across the blanket toward Ye Tian. "It is the most exclusive property in Jiangbei City. Please accept it as a token of my eternal gratitude."

Su Ming gasped loudly from his corner of the bedroom.

"Father you cannot be serious." Su Ming stepped forward and pointed at the deed. "You cannot give him the summit estate. That property is worth over a billion yuan."

"Silence." The Patriarch glared at his younger son. "My life is worth ten times that amount."

"He is a vagrant father." Su Ming argued desperately. "He’s a disgraced husband. You could give him ten million in cash and he would vanish happily. Giving him our crown jewel is absolute madness."

"I decide how to spend my wealth." The Patriarch voice cracked like a whip. "Speak against my guest again and I will strip you of your company shares."

Su Ming clamped his mouth shut. He ground his teeth together. He gripped his silver flask so hard his knuckles turned white.

Ye Tian ignored the arguing mortals. He picked up the gold keys. He did not care about the monetary value of the mansion.

His Divine Sense blanketed the city and located the coordinates of the villa. The property sat directly on top of an ancient spiritual ley line. The energy there was thick enough to condense into liquid dew. It was the perfect location to rebuild his immortal cultivation foundation.

"I accept your gift." Ye Tian pocketed the keys.

"From this day forward you are a friend of this family." The Patriarch declared to the room. "The wealth and influence of the Su Corporation are at your disposal. You only need to call and we will answer."

Su Ming stared at the floor. His grand plan was ruined. He needed Doctor Sun to save the old man. He planned to leverage that immense medical debt to seize the company inheritance from his brother. Ye Tian destroyed his entire future with a single bowl of soup.

"We should let my grandfather rest." Su Qinghan stepped forward and gestured toward the door.

"My work is not finished." Ye Tian turned away from the bed. "I walked past your estate kitchen earlier. You stock rare medicinal ingredients and waste them on mundane meals."

Su Zheng blinked in deep confusion. "We hire elite culinary masters Mr. Ye. We eat very well."

"Your chefs cook like peasants." Ye Tian walked out into the hallway. "Show me the kitchen again."

The family followed him downstairs in silent bewilderment.

The estate kitchen was massive. Stainless steel counters gleamed under the recessed ceiling lights. The head chef stood by the main stove preparing a late dinner. He wore a tall white hat and frowned as Ye Tian invaded his pristine workspace.

"Step aside." Ye Tian ordered the chef.

"Excuse me?" The head chef scoffed. "I trained in Paris for a decade. Nobody touches my stove."

"Do exactly as he says." Su Zheng barked from the doorway.

The chef swallowed his pride and backed away from the cutting board.

Ye Tian did not wait for permission. He grabbed a steel cleaver from the magnetic wall rack. He reached into a wooden crate near the sink and pulled out a mountain ginseng root and a basket of wild spirit mushrooms.

"You left the spirit bark near the damp sink." Ye Tian criticized the chef. "You ruined half its potency with the moisture."

He treated the raw ingredients like alchemy materials. The heavy became a blur of silver steel in his hands.

Ye Tian did not simply chop the root. He separated the tough fibers along their natural spiritual veins. He diced the herbs into microscopic uniform cubes in a matter of seconds. The head chef dropped his jaw and stared at the cutting board in shock.

"His knife skills are impossible." The chef whispered to an assistant. "He is not even looking at the blade."

Ye Tian ignited three gas burners simultaneously. He tossed the diced herbs into an iron wok.

He did not use standard cooking oil. He placed his bare palm against the side of the hot metal wok. He used a fraction of his true Qi to forcefully extract the natural oils hidden within the mushrooms.

The flames roared to life. The fire shifted from orange to a pale unnatural blue as Ye Tian fed his energy into the gas line.

He controlled the intense heat with precision. He flicked his wrist and the wok danced gracefully over the fire. He isolated the bitter toxins within the roots and burned them away while preserving the essence of the ingredients.

The kitchen staff backed away in awe. They watched a grandmaster perform a flawless pill refinement disguised as a cooking demonstration.

Two hours passed in silent fascination.

A rich glowing aroma suddenly erupted from the iron wok. The scent was thick and intoxicating. The maids standing near the doorway took deep breaths. They instantly felt a surge of physical rush through their tired limbs.

The meal was served in the grand dining hall thirty minutes later.

The Patriarch walked into the room without his cane. He moved with the vigor of a man twenty years younger. He insisted Ye Tian sit beside him at the head of the long mahogany table. It was the sign of respect reserved only for visiting royalty.

Su Ming sat at the far end of the table. He glared at the steaming bowls of golden broth placed before each family member.

"Eat." Ye Tian commanded.

The Patriarch picked up his porcelain spoon and tasted the broth. His eyes widened in genuine shock. The food was beyond delicious. It carried a profound warmth that sank directly into his bones.

"This is incredible." Su Zheng ate a large mouthful and closed his eyes. "I worked a fourteen hour shift today but my back pain is vanishing."

The soup was a low tier marrow cleansing potion. The ingredients washed away their exhaustion and gently purged the deep toxins from their mortal bodies.

Beads of dark sweat formed on Su Zheng's forehead as the impurities left his system. He felt ten pounds lighter.

Madam Su set her spoon down. She wiped her mouth with a silk napkin and looked at Ye Tian. The wealthy matriarch previously mocked his cheap clothes and demanded he leave her house. She now saw the terrifying depth of his abilities.

"Mr. Ye." Madam Su bowed her head deeply. "I was blind and foolish when you arrived tonight. I apologize for my disrespect. You are a true master and an honored guest."

Ye Tian nodded once. He accepted her apology without offering a smile.

Su Qinghan sat across from Ye Tian. She watched him eat with calm elegant precision. Her icy corporate exterior melted away completely.

She spent her entire life surrounded by greedy men who wanted to exploit her wealth. Ye Tian demanded nothing from her and commanded everything in the room. Her fascination deepened into a powerful genuine attraction.

"Lin Ruoxue was blind to let you go." Su Qinghan spoke softly.

"She serves no purpose in my life." Ye Tian replied. "She chose her path."

"Will you stay at the estate tonight Mr. Ye?" Su Qinghan asked. She leaned forward slightly.

"I will inspect my new property." Ye Tian answered. "I require solitude to train."

Su Ming slammed his spoon into his empty bowl. He could not stomach the humiliation any longer. Watching a vagrant sit in the seat of honor and accept the adoration of his family made his blood boil.

"I have an urgent business meeting." Su Ming stood up abruptly.

He did not wait for his father to excuse him. He turned his back on the family and stormed out of the dining hall.

He marched to the garage and climbed into his black luxury sedan. He drove wildly down the winding mountain road. His face was a mask of dark fury.

He parked in the shadows behind an abandoned warehouse on the industrial edge of the city. Rain began to fall from the dark sky.

A silver car sat idling in the dark alleyway.

Su Ming opened his door and walked over to the silver car. Doctor Sun sat in the driver seat. The old doctor looked exhausted and thoroughly defeated. His white coat was still stained with dirt from the market floor.

"You failed me Sun." Su Ming leaned into the open window. "I promised you the chief medical director position at our new hospital if you cured my father. You let a street rat humiliate us both."

Doctor Sun gripped the steering wheel. His eyes burned with venomous hatred.

"He is not a normal man." Doctor Sun hissed. "He used ancient forbidden techniques to trick the crowd. He forced me to my knees in front of the entire market. My reputation is ashes."

"Your reputation means nothing to me." Su Ming spat. "He holds the keys to Dragon Spring Villa. My father treats him like a living god. If Ye Tian stays in Jiangbei I will never inherit the Su Corporation."

Doctor Sun looked up. A twisted cruel smile formed on his wrinkled face.

"Then we ensure he does not stay." Doctor Sun said quietly. "We remove him from the board entirely."

"Are you suggesting we kill him?" Su Ming asked. He glanced around the empty alleyway.

"I know dangerous people in the underground." Doctor Sun lowered his voice. "I treat men who do not exist on paper. I heal assassins for the Blood Shadow Syndicate."

Su Ming felt a chill run down his spine. The Blood Shadow Syndicate was a legendary group of ruthless killers.

"They do not fail." Doctor Sun continued. "They use poisoned blades and strike from the dark. They will tear his throat out while he sleeps in his new mansion."

Su Ming considered the immense risk. He thought about the vagrant sitting in the seat of honor eating dinner with his niece. His jealousy quickly overpowered his fear.

"Do what you will." Su Ming reached into his jacket. He pulled out a thick envelope packed with cash. He tossed it onto the passenger seat. "That is the down payment."

Doctor Sun placed his hand on the envelope.

"Find a permanent lethal way to get rid of Ye Tian." Su Ming ordered. "I want his head delivered to me."

"Consider him a ghost." Doctor Sun smiled in the dark. "He will never see tomorrow."
