It's Raining Werewolves Part II

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" Kareem yells as he and his girlfriend bounces on the same spot, in deep confusion of which direction to run to.

"Into the water, into the water," Kareem yells out loud as his brain realizes that it's gonna go down too if he dies.

They quickly run into the ocean and swim further away from shore with the help of their water abilities, they're made faster than the normal human being.

As Elsa reaches the seashore she pauses. Perhaps now her senses are back and she has realized herself. But what have she done? It definitely can't be undone even if she's prepared to give her life for it.

This kind of act could endanger all her species, and being the Chief's daughter she should've known better. She stands near the seashore watching them swim away right in front of her eyes. She transforms back into her human form and falls down on her knees, with her chest bouncing up and down like her heart has added weight.

From behind Charon and the rest of the werewolves walks towards her mostly in shock of her actions.

Teresa walks before them to put a hand on Elsa's shoulders in a comforting manner, then she stoops down beside her, "Elsa..."

"I know, I messed up," Elsa interrupts in a soft guilt-filled tone.

"All the more reason to kill them," Charon takes over the conversation. "There's a beach at the other side, we'll meet them there."

"How'd you know?" Jena, the third lady in the squad queries him.

He raises his head majestically, "Instincts." Then he walks towards Elsa, "You better start praying for their safe destruction."

...

On the other hand, Kareem and Kathy float on on the ocean towards a beach at the other side of the island. This time they're done swimming and lie relaxingly on the surface of the water letting it drive them where they plead.

By now the sun is almost disappearing from the sky, letting the moon gradually rise from the adversive pole.

"They must be searching the whole island by now babe, we better get outta here," Kathy suggests as they land on the beach.

"I agree," Kareem widens his palm at himself to get him dry. "I've always been a supportive boyfriend."

"Don't crack jokes at me babe, I can't die with all this beautiful body." She gets overemotional and suddenly hugs him tight in way that surprised him too, then she frees him. "We better get going."

She strides down the beach, throwing legs hastily like she's walking on the sun. "C'mon babe..."

From behind Kareem grabs her mouth with his hand and carries her up into his arms in a classic bridal carry, then he races towards a small wooden house on the beach.

At first Kathy looks up to his face in surprise, then looks to the direction his running to. It doesn't make any sense to her, she starts shaking to set herself free like a fish who was just brought out of water.

Good thing for Kareem they're already near the hut when she started struggling to free herself. He drops her by the hut, puts a finger on her mouth, then points to Charon and the others who're scouting the beach a little farther away from them.

Kathy's eyes widens in bewilderment. We can tell the news striked her good. She runs into the hut before him and shuts the door behind her.

Following the tenseness of the moment Kareem runs to the door and pushes it, it seems locked. "Babe, babe," he knocks on the door in a rapid whispers.

"Who's it?" Kathy questions in a shivering voice.

Kareem gets frustrated, the energy gets into him making him throws himself around even though he tries to contain it. "It's me goddammit, it's been me, it's always me."

Kathy opens the door slightly like for a five year old. Kareem squeezes himself in. In the same microsecond she bangs the door.

From afar off Charon raises his head slightly and looks forward like he scents something in the air. He sniffs, "They're here."

As the words leave his mouth the rest of the pack also sniff in confirmation and eventually a renewed feeling of hope enters them. They crack a mischievous smile in unison.

Meanwhile inside the dark hut Kathy and Kareem sit together at one corner panting in suspense, hope is all they can do right now. The only thing that illuminates the room is a chamber oil lamp.

After some seconds of sweating and hoping, they see the shadow of a man approaching the door followed by loud footsteps on the wooden pavement of the hut. Their heart beats even faster like a traditional African drum as they caught glimpse of the shadow. Then silence follows as the shadow halts, giving the impression of an illusion. Maybe the detectives where hallucinating, they sit where they are staring unwaveringly at the door.

Boom! Charon kicks open the door, looks around and sniffs again. He gently walks in looking around observantly. Fortunately, the lovers are no where to be found.

In a second his guys come to join him in the room. Without saying a word they stare at his obviously troubled body language.

"Something's wrong," Charon proclaims his thoughts. He looks around and sniffs again.

Adonis is a dedicated, committed and a smart Gamma wolf. And as the words drop off of Charon's mouth his brain quickly processes the entire room for any possible solutions. Jackpot! He sights a switch at the side of the door and bounces towards it.

Click! He flips the switch and a white lightbulb at the deadcenter of the ceiling shines over the room.

A sense of realization enters them as they look around. They're in a changing room. The worst part is that they're in a charging room which was no longer in use. The bomb part is that they're in a changing room which was no longer in use but can still tell what it once was. In other words, a lot of archaic dirty underwears hang and lie around inside it, looking like somewhere even the devil won't wanna hang around even if it has owners he could easily tempt.

As their eyes scan the room, they all raise a hand to cover their noses in one accord.

"This is impossible," Charon throws his hand over in frustration and walks toward the door.

"Use the finder,"  Teresa suggests.

"Use the finder," Jena jumps in like she said it first, then smiles at Teresa scornfully.

"I'd handle that," Adonis walks to the center of the hut and kicks away the oil lamp which bursts on one side of hut and baptizes it with fire.

Meanwhile Adonis does the horse stance spreading his legs apart like he's sitting on the air. He joins his palms together in a shakti mudra and closes his eyes.

Charon looks at the fire which is already growing, "You better hurry, Adonis."

A symbol appears on Adonis' head. It's a triangle drawn upside down with a stroke at it's vertex, the triangle is guided in a circle. This is the voodoo symbol of the Earth element.

"Look, the symbol," Kathy whispers to Kareem in the ceiling.

Kareem strains his eyes through the small hole in the ceiling to have a better peek.

"It's like the one from the crime scene but this one's triangle is upside down," Kareem confirms.

"What do you think it all means?" Kathy questions him.

"I don't know, I can't think in here," Kareem confesses.

"What do you mean you can't think? You promised to protect me remember? You'd need your brains to do that" She freaks out but with whispers.

Kareem ignores her watching them and pretending to be intensively focused. After few seconds he grows tired of the act and turn around to see her still staring at him in classic black woman 'bitch what?' face.

As his lips move for words Kathy interrupts him. "Seriously, you're snubbing me now?" She gives him a second to answer but as he opens his mouth again she interrupts him, again. "What do you mean you can't think? You promised to protect? You said if there were a thousand arrows coming for me, and one coming for you, you'd take a thousand and the one so I won't get hurt."

"I...I," Kareem stutters. "I got that line from a movie."

She turns to him in shock. Her whole life was a lie.

"I thought you knew." He questions in a guilt-filled face.

In a brief moment of Impulsiveness Kathy rolls over him and launches pillow punches at him.

"Babe babe babe babe babe," Kareem whispers in a rapid twist of tongue. Kathy pauses to listen. "The fire." He continues, signaling with his eyes.

She turns around to see the fire making it's way towards them. By now the heat temperature is already strong in the ceiling and a dense white smoke is building up.

Coff! Coff! Kathy coughs loudly.

A beat passes with Kareem and Kathy staring into each other's faces in suspense.

The wood particles that make up the ceiling starts breaking down hundred by hundred, and sooner than later Kareem and Kathy drop down from the ceiling in a big fall. They land face to face with the werewolves, even worst, the fall has weakened them.

Now staring eye to eye at what Kareem himself has labelled doom, their visage instantly shift from the romantic sneer they once enjoyed and molds into the fear of death.

They crawl backwards from this living works of fiction still they come in contact with the wooden wall. The fire approaches them making it way through the wood, and at the same time the were creatures stare at them like fresh meat. In a situation like this, you're only offered two options; to die, or to die.

The lovers could only wish this werewolves were the kind they see in romantic movies, the kind who had hearts. But terrorists also have a heart so now they can only wish to die peacefully, but they don't want to die peacefully no. They don't want to die at all. Nonetheless who're they to tell fate what to do.

Charon pats Adonis's shoulder as he walk towards the lovers. "It looks like our prize has come down to us, all...by...itself." He cracks a smile.

His eyes turn thick blue glowing alongside the white light in the room and the light of the flame. His face gets a little brown, his ears sharper, and his claws grow longer. Charon has transformed partially.

The lovers look up to him. In their eyes a demon walks towards them, in their minds, perhaps they've seen the devil. The earth around them dissevers like puzzle pieces following Charon's call. It singles them out on a round ground, bringing them towards him and his guys who stand behind him like power rangers when they've won. Hehe, no where to run.

"Babe, hold my hand," Kathy's hand crawls into Kareem's palm. "You know what to do." She tells in a terrified pin voice.

Her eyes turn blue (light blue) and the water symbol (a triangle drawn upside down in a circle) shows up on her head. Kareem is inspired, he initiates his too.

Both of them with hands held together in love begin to glow in blue. They sure won't go to hell without a fight.

On the outside the ocean displays it's blueness vividly and begins to shake brutally with storms like a giant spoon was steering it. The sea calms for a second, then boom, it rushes for the beach like a tsunami.

Charon and the other werewolves are unaware of the water density that has built up on the outside. Giving no time for small discoveries, the water bulls in on them, shutting the fire and driving away the wooden house with the pressure it came in with.

The werewolves all call forth to their powers in the shock that unfolds on them. Their legs glue with the earth making them unmovable. And in the same second Charon stretches his hands apart, with his palms facing the ground like a messiah crucified on a cross. More holes begin to appear on the ground, containing the water as the part that carries the detectives elevates higher while some parts of it even come out like string to lock their legs firm.

Charon and the other werewolves are sure bounded by surprise, they've never seen a human control the water element. In fact, they've never seen anyone. But they keep their wonder to themselves.

In the next unveiling moments, Kareem's expression intensifies and so does Kathy's. Veins begin to pop out on their foreheads with their body vibrating intensively as they call on to the vastness of the ocean to help fill the holes.

Eventually, the holes get filled up and the water begins to rise up to their elevating piece of earth. But it seems Charon ain't done yet, his cooking something underneath that chaotic calculative mind of his.

Kareem and Kathy are forced to hurry even though they're already exhausted. They've never in their life stood against this height of battle faced to face, this good of a foe.

At last the water rises up to the height of Kareem and Kathy. As soon as it touches them, they cut the pose and hold on to the stone, making the water float it, and reversing into the ocean floor immediately.

In the same second Charon drops down his hands like he's reinforcing his powers and boom! The tunnels gets deeper into the ground like huge nails smashing against the core of the earth.
