System Activated: Revenge of the bullied.

CHAPTER EIGHT

"Seriously Alice? I initially thought you were joking about going on a date with Kevin. Yet, here you are getting all ready and set for him. Have you no shame?" Vanessa was asking her cousin.

She had actually been meaning to talk to her about it but eventually decided to watch instead as she strongly believed that her sister would stand him up. They had gone about their normal activities after school but what seemed shockingly baffling to her right now was the fact that Alice was indeed getting ready for her so-called date with Kevin. She felt really angry and if she was being honest with herself, she was jealous.

Of Kevin, no. But the fact that Alice had moved over to their county and resumed in her school was really upsetting. She had seen how Alice had managed to get everyone to stare at her including Mickey. She could tell from the way he was staring at her that he too was overcome by lust and she might start living in the shadows of her own sister. Then it got worse when even her ex boyfriend had come to ask her sister out on a date. Her expectations were dashed even more when Alice said yes. She spent time beginning to wonder if this was an intentional ploy to make her angry. School had been dismissed and they all went home.  Everyone was happy until that evening when Vanessa had gone to Alice's room and asked her where she was going, all dressed up as she applied her makeup.

Alice reminded her that she had a date with Kevin and she needed to get ready. Vanessa was all riled up as she demanded to know why she was going out with him.

"He's not all bad, Vane. If we're being honest, he's sort of adorable." Alice said as she applied her red lipstick.

"Adorable? Seriously? What's adorable about that pauper, Alice? Wait, are you trying to spite me by hooking up with Kevin or is this because I said he was large down there?" Vanessa asked.

Alice could not believe her cousin and set down the lipstick as she got up from her seat. She came over to stand before Vanessa looking shocked.

"I would never believe had I been told by someone else that you thought so low of me, Vane. Why would I want to hang out with someone to get back at you?" she asked.

"Because that someone is my ex and since I'm having it out with Mickey who apparently is your crush, you want me to feel bad." Vanessa said.

"Come on, snap out of that day dream. You know that whatever crush I had for Mickey died in highschool. It was just a crush!!!" Alice implied.

"Then why are you going out with Kevin?" Vanessa demanded.

"Because you lot had your fair share mocking him while I was away. I had been hoping actually that I could get a comeback." Alice pointed out with a wicked glint which Vanessa recognized in her eyes.

Vanessa breathed out in relief as she went over to sit down on the bed. She felt satisfied now and broke into a wide smile. She sure as hell had misjudged her cousin and underestimated her capabilities. If she had any idea this was all her plot, she might have found more ways to help her achieve her goals. It was really fun knowing now that all this preparation was going to be done against Kevin. 

"You should say things like this early enough, Alice." she said.

"Wait, do you love him?" Alice asked.

"Love who, Kevin? Why would you ask such a question?" Vanessa asked as a frown crossed her face.

"Because the way you're acting... actually, what I'm trying to say is that I could abort my mission if you still care about him." Alice said and Vanessa got up quickly.

Vanessa could not believe her ears. How on earth would anyone think she was in love with Kevin. She could not stand it also when Alice said she would abort the plans if she was in love with Kevin and did not approve.

"Abort what? Hell no Alice. Just promise to fill me in on the details. And possibly, get me a video clip." she said.

"Of course. I already got that covered." Alice said, smiling.

"You wicked, wicked girl. How I love you." Vanessa said as they hugged each other.

She had stayed back now to assist her cousin get ready. She wanted her cousin to look great so Kevin would always be reminded of his failure in getting a woman.

Alice stared into the mirror after they were done and found she was more than satisfied with how she looked. She had to always look the part as there was no telling when a real man would dare to approach her. She was a much more dangerous version of Vanessa and her plan was to go there and embarrass him by exceeding his budget. She could not wait to see the look on his face when he would be taunted while she sneaks away. Even more was something else which Vanessa did not know about.

Alice after her date with Kevin would be going out on a secret date with Mickey.

Kevin was beginning to contemplate on what to do. It would soon be time for the date and he sure as hell was getting a little bit fussy. He had no car or means of transportation that he could think about and knowing a woman like Alice, it sure would be embarrassing if he goes there and picks her up that way. He had thought carefully as he prepared his outfit for the date but nothing seemed to be adding up.

He very much would rather he does not waste money as he was not sure when next he would be getting an option to choose between something and getting money.

His mind was racing and he grew pretty much scared. It was at this point that the system brought him back to his reality.

"Five hours left...host must complete his trial or face that ultimate price."

Kevin was frightened, he did not want to die just yet. Clearing his throat, he decided he would make it.
