Damon and Aria tried their best at the University Gala, but it was still a breeding ground for fraternal battles and social manipulation. And as they walked in and out of the club, Damon noticed Xavier and his dying clique meeting up in a circle with their faces staring at him. There would be another round of the demeaning, he could tell.
“They’re going to do something, ” Damon whispered in Aria’s ears barely audible over the sound of the music.
'Hold them. ' Aria said, still confidently, 'won't be going to let them ruin the night.
But that's exactly what the inevitable did. As Damon and Aria seemed to come to a stop near the champagne fountain, Xavier came over with a forced smile on his face.
“Damon Aria, ” he said in a voice full of false friendliness, “Doing well at the party? I hope everything is... to your... liking? “
“It is, ” Damon replied, neutrally. “Thank you for asking. ”
"Of course, " Xavier said, his eyes flicking to Aria. "But I have to say, I am surprised, Aria, to see you here. I didn't realize you love... charity events so much. "
Mason and Sierra snickered, their eyes filled with malice.
“What’s that supposed to mean, Xavier? ” Aria tried huskily to her face.
"Oh nothing, " Xavier said, with a slightly condescending tone. "Just an observation though, just that... well, you never interested me as the philanthropic kind. "
“Maybe you just don’t know me as well as you thought you did, ” Aria said, raising her chin.
"Maybe, " acknowledged Xavier. "But I do know you're terrible quickly accepting Damon... gift of kindness. So it's sort of like you're taking him for his money. Because the Golden family actually is broke.
Damon twisted his hand in a fist and Aria pressed her hand on his arm holding him off.
“It’s enough Xavier, ” she said, her voice nearly ringing with authority. “I’m not going to sit here and watch you bash me because Damon and I are happy together. That’s everything. ”
“Happy? ” Xavier laughed at him. "Say that for what it is? You stay in his hostel wearing his pauper clothes and take him to your parties with you? He's just a puppet Aria. He's controlling you. You don't notice.
"That's not true” Aria insisted her voice trembling slightly
"Isn't it?" Xavier challenged. "Think about it, Aria. What does he have to offer you? He is not rich, he is not famous, he is not even that… influential. Why would you choose him over all the other guys who are throwing themselves at you?"
Damon had had it all. He stood up with flames shooting out of his eyes.
"That's it, " he said, his voice very low, threatening. "It sounds as though you and your pals must have studied this up a bit because they said exactly the same thing to you as you do. I don't want you doing this anymore. You kept telling lie after lie about me and Aria for a couple of weeks now. I'm tired of being silent.
Xavier smiled. "Oh. seriously? what are you going to do damon? Use your lottery money to silence me? Buy me off?
“No, not at all, ” Damon replied, his voice polite but firm. “I’m going to tell you the truth. ” I’m going to make you look the hypocrite you are.
he turned to the crowd, a little raised in voice. "Please excuse me, everybody, " he said with an eager eye toward the rest of the room. "Can I ask for your attention for a moment?
As the others turned to see what was happening, a silence fell over the crowd, as Xavier and his group saw in terror, their faces pale with fear.
“I know many of you are wondering what happened to me last... I changed my circumstance, ” Damon continued, steady and assured. “I have no problem answering your questions, so I think I’ll start by dispelling a few of the rumors that you’ve heard about me and Aria. ”
He took a deep breath and then paused again to take another gulp. "Aw, Xavier and his gang have been telling lies about us, trying to damage our reputation, our relationships. They say I'm a fraud, that I'm a gold digger and we're both trying to swindle you all for our own ends.
With another pause, he slowly extended his hand, taking stock of his words. "But the truth is that Xavier and his buddies are being conniving. They're trying to manipulate you, and I'm going to prove it. "
Looked directly at Mason, his eyes narrowing. "Mason, " he said with a vicious, accusatory voice, "isn't it true you've been cheating on your exams? That you've been plagiarising other people's work at your classes?
Mason 's face turned blood red. - That 's a lie! ' he stuttered. "I would never do that...
"Really?" Damon replied, pulling out his phone. "Then how do you explain this?"

Chapter 35
The silence in the woodhurst academy auditorium had been broken only by a ragged breath coming out of Brenda Harrow's throat, and she thought Dr Grayson would be the last to say it: "You are out here, Brenda. Effective immediately. "While Brenda was still reeling from the slap on her face she finally spoke. This time, with a voice tinged with some kind of anger and doubt. 'You can't do this! ' she said, her eyes wandering around the room. 'I'm the principal! I have the power! 'Dr Grayson had the most frigid voice I've ever heard. "Not anymore, Brenda, because you lost your right to be head of this school. She turned, then, to Mr. Abernathy, chairman of the board, who nodded grimly at his own motion. "The board is in favour of Dr Grayson's judgement, " he told her, his voice authoritative. "Ms. Harrow, you have been relieved of your duties as principal of Woodhurst Academy. "Brenda's face crumpled. "But... but what about the school, what about my reputation? "Grayson's eyes were fi

Newton orchestrated this!"As Dr. Grayson coolly presented evidence of Brenda's financial improprieties and the other teachers' ethical lapses, Damon stood silently, watching the scene unfold. His mind, however, drifted back to the weeks leading up to this moment, to the meticulous planning and strategic maneuvering that had brought him here.**(Flashback)***Weeks Earlier*Damon sat in his Master bedroom, the glow of his laptop illuminating his face. Felix paced back and forth, his brow furrowed with concern."Are you sure about this, Mr.Newton?" Felix asked, his voice laced with worry. "Going up against the entire administration? It's risky."Damon's fingers danced across the keyboard as he accessed the Wealth Generation System. "I don't have a choice, Felix, also call me Damon from now on, Mr.

She looked at a group of students who were waiting in the wings. "These students came forward to share their experiences with Mr. Newton, and therefore they will give indisputable proof of his guilt.Damon remained composed, his eyes fixed on Brenda. "Before you call your witnesses Miss Harrow I would like to call a couple of people to speak on my behalf. "Brenda laughed. Her eyes quivered in disbelief. “You trust us to think that anyone would come to defend you, Mr Newton, after all the trouble you’ve caused? ”She raised her hand in dismissal of his demand but, before she could say anything, the doors of the auditorium slid open and all faces turned back to the door.He turned, grimaced, and took a step into the room. Behind him, a well-dressed woman in a size-suited suit stood a renowned lawyer, Mr. Howard, with his briefcase.Brenda's eyes twinkled in shock. "What the fuck is this? " she asked, her voice nearly tingling. Then Felix ignored her and trotted towards Damon. “I am sta

The auditorium at Woodhurst Academy was filled with excitement and anticipation. Lots of folding chairs lined up with students, teachers, and staff. They looked at questions alike with curiosity but also morbid fascination. The air was filled with whispers. " Did he really cheat? " " Is he getting expelled? " " I read he bribed a teacher! "At the very front of the room, on a raised platform, stood Brenda Harrow, her lips sunken with a self-congratulatory smile. Behind her at the corners were Mr. Langley, Ms. Patel, and Mrs. Ellis, who radiated a sense of justification. A long table sat before them, before which was alone Damon, his smile so tranquil he could not make out the details.Brenda threw a gavel at the podium, making waves in the hall. “We’re now in session for this disciplinary hearing, ” Brenda mumbled, loudly demanding an approving audience. “We are here with serious allegations of misconduct against Damon Newton. ”She turned to Damon and her frosty eyes bulged. Brenda Harrow’s office was silent except for the tick of the brass clock on her shelf. Damon sat on the edge of a stiff chair across from her desk, his back straight, hands folded in his lap. Four teachers flanked Brenda like a tribunal, papers and folders stacked before them. Brenda shuffled her notes, then fixed Damon with a frosty glare.“Mr. Newton,” Brenda began, her voice clipped, “we’re here to discuss grave matters concerning your conduct at Woodhurst Academy.”Damon didn’t flinch. “I’m aware you asked me here, Ms. Harrow. But no one’s told me what I’m accused of.”Mr. Langley snorted. “Playing innocent already.”Brenda ignored the interruption. “Let’s begin. Last week, you achieved a perfect score on Dr. Patel’s chemistry exam. Isn’t that right?”Damon nodded. “I studied hard.”Ms. Patel arched a brow. “You expect us to believe that?”Damon’s gaze didn’t waver. “Yes. I do.”Brenda leaned back, lacing her fingers. “We have reason to believe you obtained the answers in advance,

Brenda Harrow’s office door clicked shut. Heavy velvet curtains blocked out the campus afternoon sun. Around the polished mahogany table, five teachers perched on the edge of their seats, all eyes fixed on the principal as she poured herself a cup of tea, her lips tugged into a tight, disapproving line. The teachers where approached by Xavier and Ernie’s parents, after there were both humiliated by Damon. The parent gave instructions for Mrs. Brenda Harrow to get rid of Damon.“Thank you for coming,” Brenda began, her voice icy. “You all know why we’re here.”Mr. Langley, the strict Latin teacher, scoffed. “Because of Damon Newton.”Ms. Patel, Chemistry, folded her arms. “He’s everywhere: the club rosters, the debate team, even that ridiculous ‘student business’ he runs. The other students are starting to idolize him.”Brenda set her teacup down with a thunk. “That’s precisely the problem. He’s become a… symbol. And not for the values we stand for at Woodhurst Academy.”Mrs. Ellis, Hi
