The Olive Branch had managed to return to something of normalcy, though the sound of it reminded us of nigh-on Wednesday afternoon's tragedy. The rush to get Damon's opportunity cards out and the rest of the party sitting at the table was finally falling into their own meal. But now with a new awareness that everything was going on.

With Beatrice, Chloe and Daphne out of the way, a new type of energy started to fill the air around Aria and Damon’s table. Many students that they’d never met, or even friends of theirs, saw them walk up to the table in a mute expression that seemed both admiration and apology.

"Aria, " said a young girl called Sarah in a sincere tone of voice, "I just just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for ever thinking I didn't like you. I'd heard those rumours and I... I should have known better. You're amazing. You deserve everything.

“Thank you Sarah, ” Aria replied pleasantly, her voice warm. “I appreciate that. ”

Another student spoke up, a young boy named Kevin. “Damon, ” he said, huskily in a tone of respect. “I have to tell you that at the first sign I was worried, I wasn’t sure where your money was coming from, and I... I took you personally from the start, and then after seeing what you did today, after hearing about the opportunity that you’re bringing to our university, I will tell you honestly, that you’re a real visionary. ”

"Thanks, Damon, " Damon responded, his lips flushed, "I appreciate the honesty. "

One by one the students walked up to Aria and Damon and apologized, they congratulated and they gave their sincere assistance. Now Aria's actual friends, the ones who had held her up through thick and thin, circled around her and said they were proud of her.

“We have known you all along, Aria, and that’s not the problem, Emily said in an earnest voice, ” exuding her own happiness.

“And we’re really happy for you and Damon, ” her friend Ben added, clapping Damon on the shoulder. “You two are both the perfect match for each other. ”

As the people around them multiplied, Aria felt a surge of confidence and gratitude. She had suffered doubts, shittivism, manipulation, betrayal and so much more. But she was more brave, more forgiving, and very determined than ever.

Damon, with his little cocked eyebrows and beret, looked at her at once, with the love and admiration of a child. For being so there for her, and defending her honor, and using his power to inspire and do well in the whole university community, she knew she was very fortunate to be in his life.

Damon held out her hand. His eyes told her a little secret: he did think this was her moment, her opportunity to shine. So he stood back from the stage, and let her do the talking.

Aria peered straight ahead, then stepped up and spoke out loud with a new power she never knew she had. "Thank you, " she said, her glance wandering round the crowd. "Thank you all for the kind words, for the support and for the honesty - it means more to me than you think. "

She stopped and a tear rolled down her face. "I have learned a lot in the last few weeks, " she said thoughtfully. "I have learned that true friends are those who stand by you when your life gets tough. I have learned that honesty and integrity are the two most important qualities a person can have, and that it's never a good thing to let anyone else tell you what you are.

She paused, slightly trembling. "I want to say something, " she said, closing her eyes. "I am proud of who I am. I'm proud of what I stand for. And I'm not going to tolerate toxic friendships and poisonous behavior. I am going to be with people who uplift me, who uplift my dreams and who treat me with respect --and I expect nothing less of anyone who wants to be my friend.

The room became so rhapsodic in applause that the room erupted in larger than usual cheers of thanks. Thousands of people waved with all their hearts full of admiration. Aria had spoken her truth and with poise, conviction and firmness.

Damon stepped forward and wrapped his arm around her waist. "I thought I'd say it myself, " he said proudly. "Aria is an inspiration to us all. And I'm so happy to stand with her. "

He gave her a quick little kiss on the forehead and then back away again to let her shine.

As the crowd began to disperse, Aria and Damon gathered their belongings, preparing to leave the restaurant. They walked hand-in-hand towards the exit, their hearts filled with hope and optimism.

As they stepped outside, they were greeted by a familiar sight. Beatrice, Chloe, and Daphne were standing across the street, their faces etched with anger and resentment. They had been waiting for Aria, eager to have one last confrontation.

Aria paused, her gaze locking with theirs. She felt a surge of pity for them, but also a sense of closure. She had moved on, she had found her strength, and she was no longer afraid of them.

She smiled, a cool, dismissive smile that conveyed a world of meaning. "Good luck," she said, her voice calm and even.

Then, she turned and walked away, her head held high, her arm linked with Damon's. They strolled down the street, their footsteps echoing in the twilight, as the campus buzzed with the day's events. Aria's triumph was complete, and her loyalty to Damon was unwavering. The final "face slap" had been delivered, subtly, but devastatingly effective. Their status was irreparably damaged. They were left behind, while Aria and Damon walked confidently into their future.

The silence in the woodhurst academy auditorium had been broken only by a ragged breath coming out of Brenda Harrow's throat, and she thought Dr Grayson would be the last to say it: "You are out here, Brenda. Effective immediately. "While Brenda was still reeling from the slap on her face she finally spoke. This time, with a voice tinged with some kind of anger and doubt. 'You can't do this! ' she said, her eyes wandering around the room. 'I'm the principal! I have the power! 'Dr Grayson had the most frigid voice I've ever heard. "Not anymore, Brenda, because you lost your right to be head of this school. She turned, then, to Mr. Abernathy, chairman of the board, who nodded grimly at his own motion. "The board is in favour of Dr Grayson's judgement, " he told her, his voice authoritative. "Ms. Harrow, you have been relieved of your duties as principal of Woodhurst Academy. "Brenda's face crumpled. "But... but what about the school, what about my reputation? "Grayson's eyes were fi

The Woodhurst Academy auditorium was a whirlwind of accusations and denials. Brenda Harrow, her face a mask of fury and humiliation, screamed over the rising din, "This is a setup! All of it! Newton orchestrated this!"As Dr. Grayson coolly presented evidence of Brenda's financial improprieties and the other teachers' ethical lapses, Damon stood silently, watching the scene unfold. His mind, however, drifted back to the weeks leading up to this moment, to the meticulous planning and strategic maneuvering that had brought him here.**(Flashback)***Weeks Earlier*Damon sat in his Master bedroom, the glow of his laptop illuminating his face. Felix paced back and forth, his brow furrowed with concern."Are you sure about this, Mr.Newton?" Felix asked, his voice laced with worry. "Going up against the entire administration? It's risky."Damon's fingers danced across the keyboard as he accessed the Wealth Generation System. "I don't have a choice, Felix, also call me Damon from now on, Mr.

She looked at a group of students who were waiting in the wings. "These students came forward to share their experiences with Mr. Newton, and therefore they will give indisputable proof of his guilt.Damon remained composed, his eyes fixed on Brenda. "Before you call your witnesses Miss Harrow I would like to call a couple of people to speak on my behalf. "Brenda laughed. Her eyes quivered in disbelief. “You trust us to think that anyone would come to defend you, Mr Newton, after all the trouble you’ve caused? ”She raised her hand in dismissal of his demand but, before she could say anything, the doors of the auditorium slid open and all faces turned back to the door.He turned, grimaced, and took a step into the room. Behind him, a well-dressed woman in a size-suited suit stood a renowned lawyer, Mr. Howard, with his briefcase.Brenda's eyes twinkled in shock. "What the fuck is this? The auditorium at Woodhurst Academy was filled with excitement and anticipation. Lots of folding chairs lined up with students, teachers, and staff. They looked at questions alike with curiosity but also morbid fascination. The air was filled with whispers. " Did he really cheat? " " Is he getting expelled? " " I read he bribed a teacher! "At the very front of the room, on a raised platform, stood Brenda Harrow, her lips sunken with a self-congratulatory smile. Behind her at the corners were Mr. Langley, Ms. Patel, and Mrs. Ellis, who radiated a sense of justification. A long table sat before them, before which was alone Damon, his smile so tranquil he could not make out the details.Brenda threw a gavel at the podium, making waves in the hall. “We’re now in session for this disciplinary hearing, ” Brenda mumbled, loudly demanding an approving audience. “We are here with serious allegations of misconduct against Damon Newton. ”She turned to Damon and her frosty eyes bulged. Brenda Harrow’s office was silent except for the tick of the brass clock on her shelf. Damon sat on the edge of a stiff chair across from her desk, his back straight, hands folded in his lap. Four teachers flanked Brenda like a tribunal, papers and folders stacked before them. Brenda shuffled her notes, then fixed Damon with a frosty glare.“Mr. Newton,” Brenda began, her voice clipped, “we’re here to discuss grave matters concerning your conduct at Woodhurst Academy.”Damon didn’t flinch. “I’m aware you asked me here, Ms. Harrow. But no one’s told me what I’m accused of.”Mr. Langley snorted. “Playing innocent already.”Brenda ignored the interruption. “Let’s begin. Last week, you achieved a perfect score on Dr. Patel’s chemistry exam. Isn’t that right?”Damon nodded. “I studied hard.”Ms. Patel arched a brow. “You expect us to believe that?”Damon’s gaze didn’t waver. “Yes. I do.”Brenda leaned back, lacing her fingers. “We have reason to believe you obtained the answers in advance,

Brenda Harrow’s office door clicked shut. Heavy velvet curtains blocked out the campus afternoon sun. Around the polished mahogany table, five teachers perched on the edge of their seats, all eyes fixed on the principal as she poured herself a cup of tea, her lips tugged into a tight, disapproving line. The teachers where approached by Xavier and Ernie’s parents, after there were both humiliated by Damon. The parent gave instructions for Mrs. Brenda Harrow to get rid of Damon.“Thank you for coming,” Brenda began, her voice icy. “You all know why we’re here.”Mr. Langley, the strict Latin teacher, scoffed. “Because of Damon Newton.”Ms. Patel, Chemistry, folded her arms. “He’s everywhere: the club rosters, the debate team, even that ridiculous ‘student business’ he runs. The other students are starting to idolize him.”Brenda set her teacup down with a thunk. “That’s precisely the problem. He’s become a… symbol. And not for the values we stand for at Woodhurst Academy.”Mrs. Ellis, Hi
