The very first thing Magnus did once his new phone number was active was call Felix.

As luck would have it, Felix was at a restaurant not far from Crownspire Mall. He said he’d head over so they could discuss the contract and other matters face-to-face.

While waiting, Magnus made his way to the mall’s cafeteria on the 10th floor.

Unlike the food courts of most malls, the one at Crownspire looked elite and fancy. Its interior carried an elegant classical style, accompanied by soft background music and the refreshing scent of high-grade air fresheners.

Even the waiters there wore uniforms that resembled those at the banquets of the wealthy.

Naturally, Magnus’s entrance—dressed in clothes far removed from anything remotely “classy”—earned him looks of disdain. One of the waiters even tried to stop him before he could go in.

But Magnus quickly showed the waiter Felix’s last chat message, in which Felix confirmed a special reservation for the two of them, complete with table number, servic

"How could you become that fast and strong? What kind of training have you been doing?"Jared sat down without asking permission. They were now facing each other, about three meters apart."Just some intense solo training. Calisthenics and stuff. Something like that," Magnus replied.Of course, he couldn't tell the truth. But for some reason, seeing Jared's faint smile and his confident gaze, it crossed his mind that Jared knew what he was hiding."I see." Jared nodded. "Whatever it is, I'm really impressed with what you just did in the fighting arena. You toyed with your opponent—intentionally, I'm sure—and at one point you launched a devastating blow he couldn't avoid. And boom! The fight just ended. That was cool."Magnus didn't know what to say, so he just stared at Jared silently. Secretly, he considered accessing Jared's memories. But before their conversation could go on any longer, Jared suddenly stood up, signaling that he was ending their chat."Do you have more fights tonig

  • Incredibly Entertaining

The spectators was stunned by the tiger mask's unexpected attack. He had never done anything like that before. The fact that he did it at that moment showed he was taking the rumors about Magnus seriously. The tiger mask, of course, hadn't used his full power yet. That's why when he saw Magnus successfully dodge his attack, he wasn't the least bit surprised. He just smirked. When he and Magnus locked eyes again, he saw Magnus staring back with a cold gaze."Not bad. You're pretty fast for a new fighter," the tiger mask said.Without a smile, still with cold eyes, Magnus replied, "If you're trying to measure my strength with that technique, I have to say it's useless. You'll have to go all out if you really want to test me."As always, Magnus's arrogant tone was provocative. But the tiger mask wasn't baited. He remained calm, taking his stance with a smirk."This is gonna be fun," the tiger mask said.Magnus thought his opponent would charge him again, maybe trying a similar technique

  • Mysterious Black Box

Magnus finished restoring the house and collapsed onto the long sofa in the family room, turning on the TV.He flipped through channels until he found SpongeBob SquarePants. But he wasn't watching it; he was thinking about a few things.First, he considered the possibility of moving, of taking his family to a new, more secure house. He felt this was necessary—even urgent—considering there had been two large-scale attacks on this house just that night alone, and it wasn't the first time.By moving his family to a safer neighborhood, he could relax a bit more. But the problem was that a house in a safe area in Merseyvale would be astronomically expensive. Magnus had to figure out how to raise that money quickly.Second, he considered the possible response from the Barbosa family, as well as their accomplices.Magnus had intentionally only revived Frank without restoring his lost memories. This memory wipe was a form of punishment for Frank's two assassination attempts through his police

  • Do Something About This Amnesia!

Viona held Frank in a tight embrace, her body shaking with sobs. Bianca's eyes grew wet and glassy, the emotion catching her too. Marco, meanwhile, remained as cold and aloof as ever."Thank God you're finally awake. Thank God," Viona said, pulling back. She ran her soft hand along her husband's cheek, a relieved smile on her face. But Frank just stared at her with a dazed, confused look."Where am I?" he asked, his voice weak."You're home. You were... " Viona paused, hesitant to tell him that Magnus had been the one to bring him back. "You were brought here unconscious. We were so worried you wouldn't wake up."The lie was necessary. Viona couldn't stand the thought of giving Magnus any credit, not after she had thrown him out and told him she didn't need him anymore. In the end, Viona was no different than Marco. This was the true nature of the Barbosa family."Is he really okay?" Bianca asked, looking at Liu.Liu, who had been quietly taking in Frank's revival, began to examine hi

  • He's Awake!

“Who am I? Does it even matter?” Magnus asked with a mocking smile.“Yes, it does. Because you just openly doubted my ability in front of my client,” Liu shot back.Magnus chuckled. “Then prove it. Show me you can actually wake him up.”“You don’t have to listen to him, Healer Liu. Just ignore him. He knows nothing about your skills,” Viona cut in.“She’s right,” Marco piled on. “This bastard—this illegitimate piece of trash—he’s not a Healer, not anything. Claiming he’s the only one who can wake up my brother-in-law? Bullshit. Don’t waste your ears on him.”Liu frowned at both of them, then turned back to Magnus.“You stay right there. Watch how I bring this man back,” she said firmly.Magnus only smirked, raising an eyebrow. He leaned against the wall by the door, folding his arms across his chest.Liu got to work. She had Viona undo all the buttons on Frank’s uniform, tore open the undershirt beneath, then pulled out a case of acupuncture needles. A candle was lit, a small dish fill

  • You Tried To Trick Me!

Ever since Magnus returned to Merseyvale, this was the third time he’d come face-to-face with Marco, and the tension between them only kept escalating.Marco glared at him with burning rage, like he wanted to rip him apart. Magnus, in contrast, just stared back with that same cold, cutting gaze.“So you won’t give me your word—that you and your family will never mess with me and my family again?” Magnus asked. “Do you really understand the consequences?”His finger shifted toward Frank, but his eyes never left Marco.“He might never wake up,” Magnus said flatly. “Get used to seeing him like this—days, weeks, months, even years. Only I can bring him back.”Viona’s eyes went wide. She shot to her feet and confronted him. “Give me back my husband! Wake him up right now!”Magnus glanced at her and let out a low chuckle. “And why should I do that? You think you can order me around? No, you can’t. Listen carefully—I’ll wake him up only if Marco, the head of this precious Barbosa family, g
