CHAPTER 6

Theodore knew Ivan had a point without him in the company he was sure they would kick Ivan out since he was his friend. And he was the one who gave Ivan the job.

Ivan wouldn't actually have been friends with Theodore, he was from a poor background. They only met a few years back and unlike most rich snubs Theodore decided to make him his friend cause he liked him.

And when he found out Ivan needed a job he decided to give him one at the company he believes Ivan was brilliant and he knew a talent like his was hard to come by. Ivan was also one of the reasons for Theodore's success at the company but now it would seem all their hard work was for nothing.

"You have a point." Theodore replied.

"Whatever it is you wish to do I wouldn't stop you." Theodore said.

"Well I'll be tending my resignation next Monday."

"Okay, well buddy I'm going out. I'll see you later." Theodore said.

Theodore met up with Karina.

"Morning." Theodore greeted.

"Morning brother." Karina said pecking him and he hugged her.

"Have you had breakfast?" Karina asked.

"Yeah, Ivan didn't let me leave without having breakfast." Theodore said ordering coffee.

"Have you found yourself an apartment?" Karina asked.

"I did check it out." Theodore said showing his phone to her.

"Nanny Helen came with me I hope you don't mind?" Karina asked.

"Not at all, but where is she?" Theodore asked.

"She went to get something she'll be with us in a minute." Karina replied.

"Okay." Theodore answered.

"Theo..."

"What is it Karina?"

"I..."

"Theodore good morning." Nanny Helen interrupted Karina.

"Morning nanny Helen." Theodore said hugging the older woman. Helen sat beside Karina.

"What were you saying Rina?"

"Nothing." She lied.

"It's not nothing, what is it?" Theodore asked.

"Do you like the apartment you found?" Karina changed the topic but Theodore thought that was what she was worried about.

"Of course, it's nice I'll check on it later." He replied.

"Theodore are you sure you don't want me moving out with you?" Helen asked.

"Come on nanny Helen stay at the mansion, and besides Karina is there now so take care of her. That mother and son pair might try to do something to her so take care of her while I'm away."

"But...?" Helen tried protesting.

"I'll be just fine nanny Helen." Theodore reassured.

"Okay." Helen said giving up.

"Well I have to go, I'll see you two later after I check out the house. And pay for a new decor." Theodore said leaving them both.

"Nanny do you think he'll be okay?" Karina asked.

"He is Theodore, I'm sure he would be fine." Helen said as they watched Theodore's car disappear.

"Mom we need to completely cripple Theodore how are we going to do that?" Albert asked.

"I'm not sure." Dalia replied.

"I'm sure he'd find a job in a prosperous company and raise through the ranks eventually coming after us." Albert said worriedly.

He had overheard Karina and Helen talking about it. He wanted to cripple him ruining his reputation completely.

"Mom I'm going out." Albert suddenly said.

"Okay, be careful out there." Dalia said.

"I will." Albert said walking out of the house he got into his car and drove to Nathalie's home.

"Albert?"

"Nathalie where are you going?" Albert asked.

"I was about to meet up with Bridget why? You should have called or texted I wasn't expecting you." Nathalie said.

"Sorry but I need your help."

"With what?" Nathalie asked.

"I need your help with putting Theodore in his rightful place." Albert replied.

"I think I'm kinda interested."

"That's more like it babe." Albert smiled.

"I'll text Bridget I can't make it besides that bitch she calls a friend is coming tonight." Nathalie said referring to Bridget's other friend whom she doesn't like.

Theodore was finally settled in his new apartment. It wasn't big but it was nice and warm. He had planned on searching for a job the next day.

Unknown to him that his nemesis had brewed a plan that wouldn't make that possible.

The next morning Theodore got dressed in corporate wears. He walked out of his apartment after having a light breakfast.

He used to help and watch his mother and nanny Helen cook, so he had some skills when it comes to cooking.

He got into his car and drove toward one of the companies he thought would surely accept him. But as soon as they heard his name was Theodore Brantley. He was immediately rejected.

He was surprised as to why they didn't even give him a chance to prove himself or anything, but then again he hadn't done this before he had always been under the wings of his father's company and didn't know how those whose lives depended on getting the job felt.

Karina was scrolling through her phone when she saw a disturbing post.

Her heart beat heavily, and she nearly collapsed.

"Karina are you okay? I just wanted to inform you lunch is ready."

"Nanny... Nanny..." Karina stammered still in shock.

"Karina what's wrong?" Helen asked.

"It's Theodore someone is trying to ruin his reputation... Or it's already ruined." Karina stammered fighting back her tears.

"What happened?" Nanny Helen asked.

"Look." Karina said handing her phone to nanny Helen and she was also surprised about the post.

The Post didn't just ruin Theodore's reputation but also that of everyone in the family. Especially her late mom.

Karina broke down in tears that was her mom and brother they were talking about how dare they?

Her mom was not a slut, if there was anyone whose morals should be questioned it should be her father and the little mistress he calls a wife.

Why didn't the post smear Albert as bad? He was an illegitimate son way before anyone found out about how Theodore was conceived.

Karina had suspected Albert to be the anonymous person who posted it but what does he stand to gain from putting the family in the spot light.

Just when she thought it was all over she saw Brantley on the news finally understanding what Albert stood to gain.

"Those back stabbing bastards." Karina yelled.

Everything was happening too fast and it was pissing her off.

"You need to come with us sir."
