Lisa clutched the ring possessively, rolling her eyes at Karvel's warnings like a spoiled cat dismissing its owner's commands.

"Oh please, stop trying to scare me!" she scoffed. "You're just being petty because you don't want to share your shiny new toy!"

"Lisa, you really should listen to him—" Elena began, but her sister cut her off with a sharp laugh.

"Listen to him? He's just a pathetic leech who got lucky once!" Lisa fastened the ring onto a chain around her neck, where it gleamed against her dress.

"Besides, I'm attending the Whitmore Society gala tomorrow night. Wearing something this exquisite will boost our family's status immensely!"

Patricia nodded enthusiastically, her eyes gleaming with greed.

"Lisa's absolutely right! That ring could open doors for us! Important people will notice it and want to know where it came from!"

"Exactly!" Robert chimed in.

"It would be completely wasted on someone like you, Karvel. You spend your time with janitors and cab drivers. Lisa moves in circles where this ring will actually matter!"

"You're like a mongrel trying to wear a diamond collar," Patricia added with cruel satisfaction.

"It's better suited for someone who knows how to appreciate fine things!"

Elena's face flushed with anger.

"Mother, that's completely unfair! The ring was given to Karvel personally—"

"Elena, don't defend this fleabag!" Patricia snapped. "He's already cost us enough opportunities! At least let Lisa salvage something from this mess!"

Karvel watched the family squabble with cold detachment. They still don't understand what they're dealing with.

"Keep it," he said quietly, his voice carrying an undertone that made Elena shiver. "But remember—I warned you."

"Warned me about what?" Lisa laughed like a hyena that had just stolen meat from a lion.

"That some magical ring police are going to arrest me? You watch too many movies!"

As they approached the luxury car, Lisa strutted ahead like a peacock showing off new feathers.

"Now this is more like it! Finally traveling in style!"

But as Karvel reached for the car door handle, Patricia quickly pressed the lock button from inside.

"What are you doing?" Elena asked in confusion.

"The car belongs to us now," Patricia announced smugly through the window.

"Just like the ring. Mr. Morrison gave these gifts to our family, not specifically to this parasite!"

"Mom!" Elena's voice cracked with disbelief. "You can't just—"

"Get lost, fleabag!" Robert called out from the driver's seat.

"Find your own way home! Maybe you can hitchhike like the stray dog you are!"

"This is insane!" Elena protested, trying to unlock the door.

"Karvel, get in! I'll make them—"

"Elena, stop making a scene!" Patricia grabbed her daughter's arm and pulled her back into the seat. "You're embarrassing us in front of people!"

Lisa pressed her face against the window, grinning like a malicious cat.

"Don't look so sad, brother-in-law! Walking is good exercise for mutts like you!"

Elena struggled against her mother's grip, her eyes filling with tears.

"This is wrong! This is so wrong!"

But Robert was already starting the engine, and within moments, the luxury car disappeared into the night, leaving Karvel standing alone on the sidewalk.

Even after everything tonight, they still see me as their personal punching bag, Karvel thought with bitter amusement.

Well, some lessons can only be learned through experience.

He pulled out his phone and called a taxi, choosing to endure the humiliation rather than reveal more of his power.

For Elena's sake, I'll let this play out. But they have no idea what storm they've just unleashed.

Meanwhile, across the city at the exclusive Whitmore Society gala, Lisa made her grand entrance like a queen bee arriving at her hive.

The ballroom sparkled with crystal chandeliers and was filled with the city's social elite—business moguls, politicians, and celebrities all mingling in designer gowns and tailored suits.

"Darling!" Lisa called out to her friend Madison, a socialite known for her sharp tongue and sharper ambitions.

 "Look what I'm wearing tonight!"

She proudly displayed the ring hanging from her neck, watching as Madison's eyes widened with genuine amazement.

"Lisa! That's absolutely stunning!" Madison gasped, examining the intricate metalwork.

"Where on earth did you get something so unique?"

"Oh, this little thing?" Lisa preened like a bird showing off rare plumage.

"It was a personal gift from Sebastian Morrison himself!"

  • Incredible

As the magnificent anniversary celebration wound down, Sebastian Morrison approached Karvel privately, his expression grave and respectful."Young Master," Sebastian said quietly, glancing around to ensure they were alone. "Miss Hart has informed me of your true identity. I believe it's time you received this."He pulled out a small velvet box containing a ring unlike anything Karvel had ever seen. The metal seemed to absorb light rather than reflect it, and intricate symbols were carved into its surface with masterful precision."This ring represents your authority," Sebastian explained solemnly. "As long as you wear it, anyone under our organization's influence will treat you with the highest respect and honor. Your word will be law."Karvel accepted the ring, feeling its surprising weight. Such a small thing, but it carries so much power."Thank you," he said simply, slipping it onto his finger. As they rejoined the others, Patricia immediately pounced on him like a hungry hawk

I don't know what you mean.""Earlier today, you tried to coerce my wife into meeting you alone in a hotel room," Karvel's voice was steady, but there was steel beneath the calm. "Under the pretense of 'discussing business,' of course.""That's... that's not what happened!" Vincent stammered, sweat beading on his forehead. "Mr. Morrison, sir, please don't listen to him! He's just a jealous husband making up stories!"Sebastian's expression turned glacial. "Are you suggesting the Young Master is lying?""No! I mean... it was just business! Pure business!" Vincent's voice cracked like a teenage boy. "I would never... Elena is a married woman! I respect that!""Respect?" Karvel's laugh was cold. "Is that what you call te

She jumped up from her chair like a startled rabbit. "There has to be some mistake! Why would someone like Mr. Morrison invite... him?" She pointed at Karvel with disgust. "He's just a mangy street dog!""Exactly!" Margaret found her voice, stepping forward with desperate authority. "Mr. Morrison, surely you mean to invite me? I'm the matriarch of this family, the one celebrating my birthday tonight!"Sebastian's eyes turned cold as winter steel. "And you are?""Margaret Howard, honored sir!
