Both of them turned to see Gideon standing there, his face red. But Gideon's arrival didn't really deter Handy. It was as if Gideon's arrival had no effect. He had been waiting for Gideon to come and witness everything.

But Jolie stopped Handy. She pushed him away. She could see the disappointment in Gideon's eyes.

Gideon clenched his fists. His eyes burned, holding back tears. He never expected the lover he loved so much to betray him. In fact, the man was someone he knew.

Handy was previously known as a very popular guy on campus. Besides always arriving in his luxury car, he was the son of a manager at a prominent company. But everyone knew that he was a man who frequently changed partners. Even Jolie knew that.

But Gideon never expected Jolie to be attracted to his advances. Just because of that job, Jolie betrayed him.

For a few seconds, Gideon froze, unable to say anything. The sight was truly painful for her.

Her blood boiled, and it nearly burned her entire body. How could Jolie do that to him?

Jolie grabbed a pillow to cover herself. But it seemed futile. Gideon had seen everything; even Handy's body was still on top of her.

Gideon's eyes were filled with tears. "You betrayed me? Why did you do it?"

Jolie's lips trembled. She could barely speak. She couldn't deny that she truly loved Gideon. But her mind rebelled; Jolie knew that being with him wouldn't make her life any better. Gideon was just a poor man with nothing but his good looks and his academic prowess.

As a woman, she naturally dreamed of becoming the wife of a wealthy man. Handy White included. Every woman wanted to marry him. So, of course, Jolie wouldn't let such a good opportunity pass her by.

"I'm sorry, Gideon. After considering it, I can't live with you. You're just a poor man. I can't live with such miserable circumstances."

This was far more painful than a punch. Gideon never expected those words to come from his lover's mouth. He had always given Jolie everything she wanted, always helped her, and did whatever she asked. But now, she was clearly rejecting him.

This poverty was like a curse to Gideon.

He nearly fell, but his eyes were fixed on Jolie. "I can't believe this."

Handy laughed loudly. He was very satisfied with Jolie's answer to Gideon.

Handy stared at Gideon, utterly miserable. All his revenge had been avenged.

"Was everything Jolie said unclear? It seems you're so frustrated by all your job rejections that you're going crazy." Handy laughed out loud.

Gideon clenched his fists. He glared at Handy with great anger. "Why did you do this?"

Handy's expression changed. He showed his resentment towards Gideon. "I hope you never forget how you humiliated me!"

Gideon was shocked. He remembered a few months ago. They were still on campus. Gideon could hear a woman screaming, and as he followed the sound, he finally realized that Handy was trying to harass her.

Gideon didn't hesitate to grab Handy and beat him in public. At that moment, Handy was not only embarrassed, but also reprimanded on campus. Afterward, Handy swore that he would avenge Gideon for humiliating him.

Gideon sighed. He held back his anger. "But it was your fault."

Handy's body trembled with anger. "But it was also your fault for interfering. And you were wrong to deal with me."

"Have you forgotten that I'm the son of an influential family? With just one request from my father, I can make the entire company reject you. I can even destroy you even more than this!" Handy emphasized.

Handy smiled with satisfaction. He looked down at Gideon. "Did you enjoy this show so much that you didn't leave right away? Don't expect to join me." Handy deliberately pulled Jolie closer, embracing her affectionately.

Gideon was utterly disgusted. What hurt him even more was her seemingly resigned expression.

But this time, Jolie glared at him. "Come on, I have nothing to expect from you. Just get out of here. I'll marry Handy soon." Jolie said it without hesitation.

This time, Jolie was more confident. Her previously hesitant gaze had now turned to one of confidence. She even glared at Gideon with hatred. "I'm a beautiful woman, certainly not suited to a poor man like you." Jolie looked at him contemptuously.

She staggered backward, unable to bear it any longer. Her hopes had not only faded, but everything had been shattered.

Before he left, Gideon glanced at Jolie. "Yes, a bitch like you doesn't deserve to be with me anyway."

Gideon immediately turned and opened the door. He left, anger welling in his heart.

He forced his legs to continue walking away from the hotel, but the pain had completely weakened his knees.

Gideon sat on the side of the road like a disoriented maniac. Once again, he wished this was all just a bad dream.

"Jolie, why did you do this?" The voice sounded soft from his lips. His heart felt so tight. He had betrayed her in such a painful way. How could they do it so openly?

His mind now focused on the nights when Gideon had craved her touch, but she had always refused, saying she was too tired. But now, he had just heard her begging another man not to stop. The memory returned, burning inside him.

Several hours passed, people came and went, but the pain wouldn't leave his heart. Gideon was still tormented by excruciating pain. Nothing could bring him relief.

Gideon was about to leave, but just as he was about to, his gaze fell on a woman who had just emerged from the hotel and was standing on the side of the road. The woman was none other than Jolie.

Gideon tried to ignore her. But out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a car speeding without a horn.

Gideon fell silent. He had no intention of helping. Right now, he just wanted to find out what happened to his grandmother in the hospital.

But suddenly, his body overtook his mind. Gideon lunged into the road, grabbed Jolie's body, and carried her to the side of the road to save her.

A car sped past. Gideon managed to save Jolie.

But the woman didn't thank him. She pushed him away, still hugging her, and then she screamed loudly. "You, damn it! You shouldn't have done that!" She looked furious.

The woman still thought he hadn't accepted the end of their relationship and that he still loved her. "Are you looking for an opportunity to touch me?" Jolie pointed at her face. "Don't expect anything. I don't want to be with you. Get out of my life!"

Gideon stared at her coldly. But now he realized that the two pairs of eyes that had always looked at him with love had now turned hateful.

From a close distance, Gideon could see the red marks on Jolie's neck. And she flaunted them without hesitation.

Gideon ignored her, wanting to leave immediately, but Jolie wouldn't let him go.

"You're such a damn man. How can you not apologize and just leave?" Her eyes were low. "A poor man like you really doesn't have good manners."

Suddenly, Handy appeared with a cold expression. Seeing this, Jolie immediately ran and hugged him tightly. She showed a frightened expression. "Honey, he just hugged me."

Hearing the complaint, Handy didn't remain silent. He clenched his fists and glared at Gideon. "Damn it, how could you do that to my lover?"

Gideon stared at him coldly. He didn't have time to deal with them. Without a word, Gideon turned and was about to leave.

Anger was visible on Handy's face. He immediately grabbed Gideon and punched him. The swift movement almost prevented Gideon from dodging, and the blow landed on his jaw.

"You've already touched my lover, how can you even escape? I won't forgive you, damn it!" Handy cursed.

Gideon touched his jaw. He was sure there was a bluish tinge there. His eagle-like gaze immediately fixed on Handy. “I should have let that woman get hit by the car.”

Handy squeezed his own hand tightly. “Damn it!”

He was about to punch Gideon again, but this time, Gideon was quicker to take his hand. After delivering the blow, Gideon slammed it down. Anger fueled his strength. In one blow, the man rolled onto the street.

Several people stopped to see what had happened.

Handy, meanwhile, winced in pain. “Damn it.” He pointed at Gideon and was about to retaliate.

Handy struggled to get up. He wanted to punch him, but once again Gideon pushed him hard, sending the man rolling to the ground again.

Gideon looked at both of them in turn. His face was impassive, but his eyes were blazing with anger. “I don’t have time for you guys,” he emphasized, then quickly walked away.

Handy felt humiliated. Once again, Gideon had chosen to deal with him. In pain, the man screamed. “Wait for my revenge, damn it!”
