The moment Lucifer stepped through the portal, a cold wind hit his face. He stopped for a moment as the sudden chill passed through his clothes and settled against his skin. The air was far colder than anything he had experienced outside the dungeon, and he could see his breath whenever he exhaled.

He found himself standing in the middle of a small, ruined village covered in snow.

Old wooden houses stood on both sides of a narrow path, their roofs buried beneath thick layers of snow. Some had

"Ah, I'm cooked."Lucifer stared at the small spider for a while before closing his system. This was going to be a serious problem. He did not know how much the corruption had affected his abilities, but he could no longer rely on them as he once did. His Creation Points had also been reduced to zero, meaning he could not create anything new even if he found a way around the corruption. If they encountered a powerful monster during their journey, he would have very few ways to deal with it.The situation was even worse because they were heading toward Blue Wood Island, a place claimed by an SS-Rank monster. He had accepted Valadin's offer because he believed he could handle the task, but things had changed. He was now travelling with three prisoners who knew little about his true strength, and he had no intention of telling them that most of his abilities and creations were gone.Lucifer looked at Spidey one last time before returning it to his system.'I'll deal with you later.'He c

Lucifer was taken aback by the useless description of the creature. He read it several times, hoping there was more information hidden somewhere, but the words remained the same. It was as if whoever had created the spider had simply written down whatever came to mind without giving much thought to its purpose.'What kind of description is this?'He had expected something useful, especially after everything he had lost. Instead, he had received a creature with a childish description and a name that sounded more like a joke than a proper creation.Still, he could not deny that the spider had some interesting abilities. He looked at the description again and picked out two words.Devour and darkness. Those were the only parts that seemed worth paying attention to. The spider had used darkness to conceal itself, and its web had carried an energy capable of corrupting his creations. It was also possible that its ability to devour was connected to the strange energy that had entered his bo

The spider moved first. It sprang from the floor and shot a thick strand of web toward Lucifer. He stepped aside, letting it strike the wall behind him. Before the creature could fire again, he closed the distance and swung his sword. The blade cut through its body. The spider fell to the floor, its legs twitching for a moment before going still. Lucifer lowered his sword and watched it.That had been easier than expected. Then a system message appeared before his eyes.[You've earned ss@(#$+* Bloodline $(#*#(#]'Huh? Isn't it supposed to announce the kill—'Pain struck him before he could finish the thought.Lucifer's legs gave way, and he fell hard against the floor. His sword slipped from his hand. A wave of weakness spread through his body, leaving him unable to move."Lucifer!" Raj rushed toward him.Lilo and Kellan followed, while Drakon stepped between them and the dark passage. Lucifer could hear their voices, but they seemed far away.A strange energy had entered his body.It

It rested on a stretch of land close to the chains, with its dark hull facing the open water. The vessel had two masts, though its sails were not raised. Several ropes hung from its sides, and there were visible marks and cuts along the hull. It looked old and worn, but it did not appear to be completely damaged.Lucifer stared at it for a moment."Someone brought a ketch here?" Raj asked.Lilo moved closer and studied the vessel. "I didn't know anyone could bring one this far into the northern region.""Why not?" Kellan asked."Because most prisoners don't have the means to get one, and even if they did, travelling through these waters would be dangerous."Lucifer continued to examine the ketch. There was no clear sign of anyone on the deck, but that did not mean it was empty. Someone could be inside, or its owners might have left it there while exploring the island. He looked at the ropes hanging from the sides before turning his attention to the two chains. The vessel was close eno

A scaled wolf charged down the valley with its jaws wide open.Lucifer raised his sword as its massive body rushed toward him. Its scales were dark grey, and each one was thick enough to protect it from most attacks. Its claws dug into the ground as it moved, sending rocks flying in every direction."Get out of the way!" Lilo shouted.Lucifer stepped aside just as the wolf swung its front paw at him. The claws passed close to his armour, but he had already moved out of their reach. He turned his body and swung his sword.A thin line appeared in the air before him, and the space around the wolf's neck split apart. However, the monster twisted its body at the last moment. The attack cut through several scales and left a deep wound across its shoulder instead of taking its head. The wolf let out a furious growl and turned toward him.Lucifer clicked his tongue. The monster was faster than it looked."Raj!"Raj understood the call without needing another word. He moved forward and activat

The group moved away from the edge of the island and continued along the rocky ground. Unlike the island they had left behind, this one had fewer trees and more open land. Large rocks covered much of its surface, while patches of grass grew between them. The ground rose towards the centre, where several hills stood close together, and a thick forest could be seen beyond them.Lucifer stopped on a small rise and studied the land ahead. The island was wide, and its shape made it difficult to see how far it stretched. From their position, he could make out a long valley between two hills, with a narrow river running through it. The river seemed to come from the forest before flowing towards the southern edge of the island. There were also several rocky slopes that could offer a path towards the northern side. They would have to cross most of the island before reaching another chain or finding a way to continue towards Blue Wood Island. The journey was already taking longer than he had ex
