The decision was made in an instant. The thirteen men charged at the seven soldiers guarding the exit. They had no intention of fighting Li Jie—it would only mean certain death. Their only chance of escaping alive was to break through the soldiers.

A small skirmish broke out. The seven soldiers, caught off guard by the sudden attack, immediately drew their weapons and fought back.

Seeing his attackers shift their focus to the soldiers, Li Jie didn’t stay idle. He swiftly pursued them and joined the battle.

But before he could strike, he sensed a powerful attack directed at him. With quick reflexes, he raised his sword to block it.

Boom!

The clash of two immense forces sent a deafening explosion throughout the inn. The impact was so powerful that the entire building trembled.

  • Li Jie vs Emperor Guo Yin III

Emperor Guo Yin let out a thunderous growl of disbelief as his crimson eyes locked onto the young man before him—a mortal who had somehow managed to withstand his demonic might. “How could a mere human possess such overwhelming power? Who is he truly?” the Emperor muttered to himself, his voice echoing like a storm across the battlefield. Li Jie’s thoughts were focused on a single purpose—ending the reign of Emperor Guo Yin once and for all. The Grandmaster’s command to spare the Emperor’s life no longer mattered. That vow had lost its weight the moment the Grandmaster chose to align himself with the forces of darkness. The sky roared with fury as their blades of energy collided once more. • Li Jie vs. Demon King Guo Yin II

Unbeknownst to King Guo Yin, Li Jie’s earlier display of power was nothing more than a distraction—a calculated ploy meant to draw the Demon King’s focus so that Zhu Feng and his forces could storm the palace unhindered. Amid hundreds of arrows whistling toward him, Li Jie dodged nimbly, gliding and spinning through the air as if his body weighed nothing. The rain of arrows seemed powerless to touch him, while his counterstrikes, sharp and precise, tore through the demon soldiers’ lines. Screams of agony filled the sky. Soldiers tumbled from the high ramparts, some already lifeless before their bodies hit the ground. The demonic warriors seemed utterly helpless before the blindingly fast attacks unleashed by the three invaders. When the number of surviving guards atop

“But they possess powerful figures among their ranks, Mahaguru,” complained Emperor Guo Yin, his voice laced with unease. Mahaguru’s piercing eyes glinted with sharpness. “And what does that make me, Your Majesty? Tell me, who among them wields power greater than mine?” His tone rose slightly, filled with restrained irritation. “I… I apologize, Mahaguru. It’s not that I doubt your strength,” the emperor stammered, “but they…” “Enough, Your Majesty!” Mahaguru’s words sliced through the air like a blade. “If Your Majesty lacks the confidence to win this war, then your throne will soon crumble beneath your feet.” Guo Yin fell silent. He dared not argue further, fearing that the mightiest being of the Demon Realm—his own advisor—might abandon him in anger. Yet deep down, he knew his concerns were not without reason. Since Tan Hui’s death, those he once relied upon had turned against him. Now, aside from

Zhu Feng smiled warmly at the young man standing before him. “At this moment, Li Jie, I can see two figures destined to take the place of your late wife. But I will not reveal who among them will become your companion in the future. Perhaps it will be one of them—or maybe both. Each possesses their own strengths and weaknesses.” “I understand, Uncle,” Li Jie replied respectfully. “If that’s the case, I’ll take my leave now to prepare our troops!” Zhu Feng nodded with calm authority. “Go. The fate of the universe rests upon your shoulders, Li Jie.” Li Jie gave a firm nod, then turned and strode out of the chamber. Just as he stepped outside, his lips curved into a faint smile when he saw Mao Tung and Xiao Chen approaching from the courtyard. “Where have you been, Li Jie?” Mao Tung called out. “Xiao Chen and I have been looking all over for you!” Li Jie furrowed his brows. “I just
