Li Jie watched in disbelief as the entire skin of Commander Yan Yuan turned rough and scaly, resembling the hide of a giant lizard. Even his tongue elongated, becoming like that of a reptile.

But that wasn’t all—Yan Yuan’s ten fingers sharpened and turned dark, like claws. And what stunned Li Jie even more was the long tail that grew from the base of Yan Yuan’s spine.

Li Jie couldn’t quite determine what kind of creature stood before him, but he could sense a faint demonic energy leaking from Yan Yuan’s transformed body.

Suddenly, Yan Yuan leapt forward, slashing his elongated claws toward Li Jie’s face. The young man swiftly jumped back, narrowly avoiding the unexpected strike.

Before Li Jie could regain his stance, Yan Yuan’s long tail whipped toward him. Forced to block it with his right arm, Li Jie found himself pushed several steps to the side.
