Mao Tung lifted Xiao Chen’s battered body and seated the War God directly before him. Placing both palms firmly on Xiao Chen’s back, he closed his eyes and began channeling his infernal energy.

The surface of the distant lake churned violently, as though something immense and terrible was awakening beneath it. Then, instinctively, he looked down—and his eyes widened in disbelief as he saw the faint trace of his own shadow on the scorched earth. “So that’s it…” he murmured darkly. “Yes,” Li Jie interrupted, his tone laced with scorn. “That’s the flaw in your invisible technique. How could you be so foolish as to forget the most obvious weakness—your shadow?” “Damn it!” Guo Yin growled, his jaw tightening. “I underestimated him!” In all his countless battles, never once had anyone discovered the secret behind his unseen assaults.
