In A Brink of Death

Finding Tony smirking arrogantly and giving him a disdainful look, Jack's chest immediately surged.

If there was a pot of soup inside him, the soup had boiled until it changed color and emitted a foul smell.

"So, you're the one who set up this booby trap, huh? Are those soldiers your men?" Jack asked.

"Yes. And you fell into my trap. I thought you were clever enough, though. Turns out, you're not," said Tony.

Tony's contemptuous smile made Jack sick. He felt like throwing the pot at him, with the hot soup inside hitting Tony's face.

Bang! Bang!

Gunshots rang out.

A moment later, the rooftop door slammed open and kicked forcefully from the inside.

The soldiers emerged. Jack turned and glanced at them. Right now, he was in a tough spot.

"This morning, when I was trapped in the apartment elevator, it was you who called me and said tonight would be my last night, right? Can you explain what you meant by those words? Was that a threat?" Tony asked.
