The fire demon walked in the direction in which Derek pointed and carried the bed high, tossing it against the wall. "There you are!" The voice resonated through the walls of the room. I looked at Jonas and noticed he was scared of what was unfolding before his eyes. But I was equally scared too. I forgot I was a grim reaper for a minute and tried to think. "What do I do? Think!" I said it silently to myself.

"I am going to kill you and absorb your powers. Imagine how powerful I could become by draining his soul." The fire demon said this before the other reaper.

"No! Do something, Derek!" Zoey shouted out to him.

The fire demon clawed at me, and I managed to dodge without being hurt. He looked at me and smiled. "It looks like you are beginning to accept your true powers. Bring him to his knees." He ordered the demons, and he stepped back.

They all charged at me, and as they moved closer, I shouted, and some power came out of the ground like a rainbow. " What? Can he summon the territory?" The fire demon asked with a frightened look on his face. I looked at Zoey and Derek, breaking free from the demons before them. They were stronger and moved faster, unlike anything I had ever seen before. The fire demon was able to escape while they captured the rest of the demons. "Nice work, Max. For a moment, I thought we were going to lose you." Zoey said, gently moving closer to me.

Derek looked at Jonas, who was trembling in one corner of the room. "I think we would need to have him wiped again."

" Again? I am sure Jonas is fine and can live with all of this." I said, looking at him.

Jonas shook his head and looked at me. "I am sorry, Max, but this is not the life I had envisioned for myself. Fighting demons? I can't deal with any of that."

I looked at Jonas, and I could see he was a little shaken up by what happened. Zoey walked closer to him and had his memory wiped. He fell into a deep sleep while Derek moved closer to me. "You have earned a spot on the team. Now, you need to send the demons back to the abyss. Only a grim reaper can do that." He showed me how it is done.

I was shocked to see the vigorous shaking of the victim's body as the fire demon tried to get out. It let out a cry of agony and collapsed. "Is he dead?" I asked, looking at Zoey.

"Why don't you find out for yourself?" Zoey replied with a smile.

She placed her hand on the demon in front of her, and I did the same too. I watched as the fire demon tried to leave the body in agony and shouted in pain. I held the host down, and soon a light came out of my hands, and I found myself in another world. I saw the silver-haired woman, and she looked at me. "Welcome, Max," she said with a smile.

I saw the demon I had freed from my world standing before us. It was cast into darkness as the door was shut, and immediately it went in.

"Where is this place?" I asked, looking at Aurora.

"You can call it the afterlife."

"Am I dead?" I asked the elderly woman again.

"You are not Max; I had to enter your body when I noticed you were at the point of death," Aurora replied, walking towards her seat.

"How is that even possible? I think he needs to be in a comma before you can take charge of his body." Derek asked, looking at Aurora.

"This has never happened before. I think it happened once, and that was a long time ago." Zeus replied to Derek.

Zeus was Derek's avatar, and they were connected and could even hear each other's thoughts.

"How is he able to summon the territory?" Apollo asked, looking at Aurora.

"I still don't know. I think there is more to Max than meets the eye. Come. " Aurora said, gently leading me away from the room where the others were. "Were you taking me to?" I asked, trailing behind her.

Aurora led me into a white house, and I could see a lot of faces. "Who is this set of people?" I asked, walking closer to her.

"These are the souls of those you had freed from the fire demons. They are souls trapped inside the bodies of the demons. When you had the demon killed and sent to the abyss, you freed the souls of the dead." Aurora said it gently, with a smile on her face.

For the first time in my life, I felt happy that I was saving humanity. I was no longer the sad boy but now a hero. At least that is what I thought myself to be.

"What is it, Max?" Aurora asked, looking at me.

"Do you think maybe I could see my parents?" I asked, looking at Aurora with pleading eyes.

"I am sorry about the death of your parents, but there is nothing I can do about that because their souls are not here at the moment," Aurora replied, looking at me.

"What do you mean their souls are not here? Aren't they supposed to come here and find peace once they are dead?" I asked, looking at her.

"If their souls are not here, it can mean only one thing." I heard Zoey's voice and looked at her.

"What does it mean?" I looked back at Aurora.

"Their souls are trapped inside the fire demon that had them killed," Aurora replied, and tears filled my eyes.

"You mean my parents haven't found peace in the afterlife?" I asked with teary eyes.

"I am sorry, Max. I promise to help you find your parent's killer." Zoey said she was moving closer to me, but I didn't wait for her to reach me. I vanished and got myself back into the human world. I didn't know how I did that, but I guess it came with my ability as a grim reaper.

The Final Battle****************The gods and the goddess have been keeping silent over the fight with Kluas. The fate of both worlds hanged in balance without the future uncertain. One thing I knew was that I needed to play my part in bringing balance to both worlds. I needed to defeat Klaus and also rid the university grounds of bullies. The only way to do that was to rid the bag eggs out, but I need to cut the head of the snake for the snake to die permanently. I laid on the bed, rolling up and down. I needed a plan if I was going to defeat Klaus and Zack. Both were born evil and would do anything to win. My mind raced as I thought about what was going to happen to me when I rid the earth of evil again. I don't want to die, and I also wanted to be with my heart. I knew Helena would be devastated if I died once again.I need to draw Klaus out. He was weak, and he is going to need time to heal himself. The best way to show him to the world was to bring him out in the open. Bringing

"Where do you think he might be off too?" Derek asked, looking at me. "I don't know, but I am pretty sure he would go to a place far from here." I replied Zeoy walked up to me and said, "LLet me see." She said slowly checking out my face. She healed me, and Helena rushed towards my side. "We need to get off the university premises." She said it in haste. We immediately got into the car and zoomed out of the compound. My mind went back to Peter's family, which is my family now. I took out my phone and placed a call to Emma. "Are you alright? What about our parents?" I asked in haste, trying to know if Kluas had gone over to the house. "Slowly down," Emma said over the phone. My pulse quickened as I awaited her answer. "Can you just tell me what I asked from you?" I said quickly. "Well, Boyd here is doing a fine job protecting us. I am sure we are in capable hands," she replied. "I am on my way. I should be back at home any minute now." I replied, and I cut off the call. "We need

I felt my pulse quicken as I stared at Zack—or rather, at the being that had taken control of him. Kluas had merged with Zack’s body, his glowing eyes revealing the god's overwhelming presence, and the menace in his voice left no doubt. “You don’t have to do this, Zack,” I said, keeping my tone steady, though the tension in the air was palpable. My hand twitched slightly, ready to summon the power of the Reaper’s territory if needed. “Kluas is using you. He doesn’t care about you, he’s just trying to survive. Once he’s done, you’ll be nothing.” Zack laughed, the sound echoing off the empty court in a way that made my skin crawl. “You always were naive, Max. Kluas isn’t using me. We are one now. I’ve always wanted power, and now I have it—limitless, godlike power. Together, we’ll crush anyone who stands in our way.” I stood my ground, my eyes scanning the area for any advantage.I knew that fighting Zack head-on, while he was possessed by Kluas, wasn’t the best plan. Kluas, a god

The tension was high as we drove towards the university grounds. "Do you think anyone is going to be on campus?" Helena asked, looking anxious. "We need to be certain that no one is there. Kluas would need a soul to merge with or go into extinction if he can't." I replied "Why not bond with anyone on the street? Why come down here?" Zeoy asked again. "I am not sure, alright. I don't know how a god is supposed to think." I replied harshly, and everyone was silent. "I am sorry, guys. I am just a bit anxious." "We all are." Derek said increasing the jeer We drove into the university grounds, and everywhere seems peaceful. "Do you think he is here?" Gilbert looked around. "He should be; I can feel him." I replied"This is what we are going to do. I want everyone to fan out and check the dorms. Search everywhere and give a call once you see anything or anyone that looks fishy." I replied I brought out a flash torchlight and gave it to everyone. "Don't engage; Kluas is dangerous, and

Zeoy felt a kind of power she had never felt before. She slowly removed herself from the iron rod that had impaled her against the wall. Derek also felt more powerful than ever. "What is going on?" Kluas shouted in anger. And then something else happened. A territory appeared on the ground, giving immense power to all the reapers. Peter's eyes glowed, and his cut began to heal. Emma looked up, and out of fright, she ran away from Peter. " How? You were supposed to be dead." Kluas shouted out of fright. He quickly moved fast towards Peter, and he was gripped down by Peter 2. A soft smile played on Peter's lips. "Do you think you can stop us? I am unstoppable, and now you are going to know how powerful I am." I shouted as I and Peter merged, becoming one. "Derek, get everyone out of here." I said, looking at Derek's face. "You heard the boss; let's get out of here." He said, looking at Zeoy. "I am staying." Emma shouted as Derek pulled her up from the dusty floor. "Don't worry, you

Zeoy shouted at Boyd Gilbert adjusted his glasses and immediately ran towards Helena. He grabbed her by the waist and made way for the main gate. Emma looked at Zeoy angrily. "This was not the deal. You said you needed me to get my brother to corporate. Now that he doesn't, you want to leave him alone to die?" She yelled out her lungs. "Listen to me, kiddo. Your brother understands the sacrifices he needs to make for himself and the family. Do you think someone forced him to be here? He came willingly on his own because Kluas threatened to kill you all if he didn't." Zeoy looked into Emma's eyes, and she began to sob. "Please save him. Please save my brother." Emma fell on her knees despite the walls crumbling around her. Zeoy looked at her and back at Boyd and Helena. "Your brother is..." Emma raised her head slightly up, looking into her face.
