3: First day

Liam was so ready. Every time he thinks about Megan, he starts to feel mad at himself for being so poor

and weak.

“Now that I am rich, I don’t need to be weak. I am going to show them who is strong.” he mumbled

while staring at his reflection.

Althea showed up behind him and nodded.

“It suits you perfectly. There is something I haven’t told you. I am your assistant and guide in this game

to make sur you’re not going to be eliminated.” she explained.

Liam now fully understands it, but he doesn’t care if it is just a game or what.

“Okay.” he answered.

As they came out of the building, his eyes grew bigger to see other guys like him with their assistants

too.

“Wait, is there any women?” he asked Althea.

Althea couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

“None, this game only requires male to participate.” she said.

“Okay. That’s odd.” he mumbled.

A car suddenly stopped in front of them. It was a very expensive one.

“Good morning, where to?” the driver asked.

Liam looked at the driver and he knew he was human.

“At the mall.” Althea said.

“Mall?” Liam asked her.

Althea nodded.

“I think you need to buy new shoes and clothes.” she said.

That made him shut his mouth. While they are walking around the mall, he bumped with a very familiar

guy.

“Wa-it, you again?” Khaled scoffed.

“What are you doing here? Are you here to steal?!” Khaled asked.

Liam was already mad, but as soon as Althea heard them... she quickly ran toward them and stood

beside Liam. Khaled looked at her and couldn’t help but bite his lower lip.

“Oh, wow, is she your new chick?” Khaled smirked.

Liam groaned and almost hit him, but Althea stopped him.

“For your information, I am not his chick, and for you to know, we aren’t here to steal.” Althea said.

Khaled was surprised.

“Wait, I know he doesn’t have money to pay for everything. So, if I were you, I am just going to leave

him. He’s worthless that’s why Megan chose me.” Khaled proudly said.

Liam couldn’t take it anymore. He just punched Khaled’s face, making him fall to the ground.

“Oh my gosh! Khaled, are you okay?” Megan suddenly showed up.

Liam became soft when he saw her. It feels like he still has some feelings for her and that he really loves

her.

“Liam! Why do you have to do this?!” Megan yelled at him.

“It was your boyfriend’s fault, miss.” Althea answered.

Megan scoffed as she looked at Althea. Jealousy was written on her face when she stared at her.

“And who is she? Can you tell her to stop talking when I am talking to you.” Megan said.

Althea’s ear cringe when she said that. She just took a deep breath.

“Looks like I am going to punch somebody right now.” she said.

Only Liam heard her, which made him shake his head.

“Megan, don’t talk like that to my friend. I just don’t understand why you need to betray and cheat on

me when I give everything to you. What I don't have is only money.” he softly said.

Althea could feel pain in his voice making her look away. But Megan acted like she didn’t care about it.

“Liam, I am not feeling guilty or regretting what I did. Khaled was just right. I deserve to be happy, that is

why I chose him over you. So, please don’t hurt him again!” Megan glared at him and helped Khaled to

get up.

Khaled wiped his lips and looked at him madly.

“Remember this day, Liam. I am not going to let you pass from what you did. I am going to do everything

in my power to make you poorer.” he scoffed as they left.

Liam just took a deep groan and sighed.

“That woman doesn’t deserve you, Liam. Don’t think about her. She’s just going to ruin your life if you

keep on being affected by her.” Althea told him.

Liam just nodded.

“Right, I need to focus on my life for now. And after I win, I am going to make her regret every decision

she made, and I will make them pay for what they did to me.” he firmly said, making her smirk.

“That’s what I like, a tough spirit. You need to think that way for you to win.” Althea pats his shoulder.

Liam just smirked back and nodded.

“I hope this is too much already or else I wouldn’t know where to spend the rest for the remaining

days.” he said.

Althea couldn’t help but laugh at what he just said.

“Don’t worry. We still have more time to spend today.” she mumbled.

“That would be all $25,000. Are you going to pay in cash or card?” the cashier asked.

“Card.” Althe said.

Liam was frozen while staring at what they had bought.

“These are all $25,000?” he mumbled.

“Yeah. So, are you ready to spend more?” she smirked.

After they came from the mall, they both headed to the real estate agents they were going to meet about the house and lot he was going to buy.

“Althea, can we go somewhere after this?” he asked her.

“Sure.” she just answered.

After talking with the agents, Althea looked at him.

“So, where do you want us to go?” she asked him.

Liam just cleared his throat.

“Can we stop over at the restaurant first and buy some food? That’s wise, right?” he asked.

Althea was surprised, making her smile.

“Spending money wisely is when you spend your money on good things and good deeds. So, what are you trying to do with the takeouts then?” she asked.

“I think I am going to give it to them at the shelter where I grew up, miss.” he said.

She was too stunned to speak.
