The Black Citadel trembled.

Every stone in the ancient palace shook as dark energy spread through the halls.

The servants screamed.

Imperial soldiers rushed toward the lower chambers.

But those closest to the Eighth Seal felt something far worse than fear.

They felt hopelessness.

A darkness older than kingdoms was awakening.

Kael stood beside Malachar, his sword drawn.

The Emperor looked different now.

Not like the ruthless ruler from the stories.

Not like the enemy from Kael's memories.

He looked like a warrior preparing for the final battle of his life.

"Varyn has planned this for a long time," Malachar said.

Kael stared at him.

"How long?"

"Since before you were born."

The answer chilled the room.

They moved through the palace corridors toward the lower levels.

With every step downward, the air became heavier.

The walls were covered with ancient symbols that Kael had never seen before.

Aurel touched one of them.

"This language..."

"What is it?" Selene asked.

Aurel's expression changed.

"The language of the First Age."

Kael looked at him.

"I thought only the Seven Sovereigns knew it."

"They did."

Aurel looked toward the darkness ahead.

"Which means Varyn has been studying secrets that should have remained buried."

When they reached the Eighth Chamber, the sight before them shocked everyone.

The Imperial Archives had been destroyed.

Thousands of ancient records floated through the air, consumed by black flames.

At the center stood Lord Varyn.

The old adviser looked exactly as he always had.

Calm.

Polite.

Almost harmless.

But his eyes were different.

They carried the darkness of something ancient.

Kaelor stepped forward.

"Varyn..."

The old man smiled.

"My prince."

"How wonderful to see you again."

Kaelor's voice shook.

"Why?"

"Why would you betray my father?"

Varyn looked at him with almost pity.

"Betray?"

"No, my child."

"I have served your family faithfully."

"More faithfully than your father served himself."

Malachar's expression hardened.

"You were never loyal to me."

Varyn laughed softly.

"Of course I was."

"You were the perfect shield."

"The perfect villain."

"The world hated you."

"Your enemies united against you."

"And while everyone watched you..."

"I worked."

Kael stepped forward.

"You manipulated everything."

Varyn looked at him.

"The last Blood Sovereign."

"The boy who was supposed to die eighteen years ago."

A dark smile appeared.

"You have no idea how much effort went into creating your path."

Kael's eyes narrowed.

"You caused the destruction of my family?"

Varyn tilted his head.

"No."

"Your father and Malachar did that themselves."

The words struck like a blade.

Kael froze.

"What?"

Varyn walked closer to the broken seal.

"The Seven Sovereigns made one mistake."

"They believed sacrifice could defeat destiny."

"They believed giving up everything would save the world."

He touched the cracked chain.

"But they were wrong."

"The world was never meant to be saved."

"It was meant to be reborn."

The ground shook.

The Eighth Seal released a wave of darkness.

Malachar immediately stepped forward.

"Enough."

Black flames surrounded his sword.

For the first time, Kael saw the Emperor's true power.

The air itself bent around him.

Varyn smiled.

"There he is."

"The great Emperor Malachar."

"The man who sacrificed his friend."

"The man who abandoned his son."

Kaelor flinched.

Malachar remained silent.

Varyn continued.

"You spent eighteen years pretending you were the world's villain."

"But deep inside..."

"You always wondered if Aetherion was right."

Malachar's grip tightened.

"Do not speak his name."

Varyn smiled.

"Why?"

"Because it reminds you of the promise you failed to keep?"

The chamber became silent.

Kael looked at Malachar.

The Emperor's expression changed.

Pain.

Not anger.

Pain.

Suddenly, the cracked Eighth Seal opened slightly.

A single beam of black light shot upward.

The entire continent felt it.

The First Watcher opened its golden eye in the heavens.

The Abyss creatures stopped.

The oceans froze.

The world waited.

Varyn raised his arms.

"After centuries..."

"The door is finally opening."

Kael felt his Blood Sovereign Mark burning.

The four inheritances reacted violently.

Aurel shouted,

"Kael!"

"Do not let him complete the ritual!"

Kael charged forward.

But Varyn only smiled.

"Exactly as the prophecy said."

"The final key comes willingly."

The darkness around him transformed into chains.

They wrapped around Kael's arms.

His sword fell from his hand.

"What..."

Varyn whispered,

"The Blood Sovereign bloodline was never created only to protect the seal."

"It was created..."

"...to open it."

Everyone froze.

Kael struggled against the chains.

"No."

Varyn leaned closer.

"You spent your entire life searching for your purpose."

"Now you will finally fulfill it."

Behind him...

The Eighth Seal opened another inch.

And from the darkness beyond the gate...

Something looked back.

Something that made even Malachar step backward.

For the first time in eighteen years...

The Emperor whispered one word.

"Impossible..."

Instead, he wore simple white clothing, looking less like an ancient destroyer and more like an ordinary traveller.“You brought me here.”The Hollow King nodded.“Yes.”“Where is this place?”The ancient ruler smiled.“The First Realm.”“The birthplace of all worlds.”Kael’s eyes widened.“The First Realm...”“I thought it was only a legend.”“So did everyone after it was erased.”The Hollow King began walking throu
