The chamber fell into absolute silence.

Even Lord Varyn, who had planned every step of this moment, looked toward the opening Eighth Seal with a mixture of fear and excitement.

Something was coming.

Something that even he did not fully understand.

The darkness beyond the gate moved.

Slowly.

Deliberately.

A hand emerged from the void.

Not a claw.

Not a monster's limb.

A human-like hand covered in ancient silver markings.

The entire chamber trembled.

Kael felt his Blood Sovereign Mark burning painfully.

The four inheritances inside him reacted as if they had recognized an ancient enemy.

Or an ancient master.

Varyn smiled.

"After thousands of years..."

"You finally return."

Malachar's face became pale.

"No..."

Varyn turned toward him.

"You know what it is, don't you?"

Malachar did not answer.

Kael looked at the Emperor.

"What is behind that gate?"

For several seconds, Malachar remained silent.

Then he spoke.

"The first Sovereign."

Everyone froze.

Selene's eyes widened.

"The first?"

Malachar nodded.

"The one before the Seven."

The ancient figure slowly stepped through the opening.

It appeared human.

A tall man wearing a robe made of dark silver.

His hair was white.

His eyes were empty.

Not cruel.

Not angry.

Just empty.

As if he had watched countless worlds rise and fall.

The moment his feet touched the ground...

Every light in the chamber disappeared.

The being looked around.

"So much time has passed."

His voice was quiet.

Yet it shook the entire palace.

"The world still survives."

Varyn bowed deeply.

"My Lord."

The being looked at him.

"You served well."

Varyn smiled proudly.

"I waited for this moment for centuries."

The being looked toward Kael.

Then he stopped.

For the first time...

His expression changed.

"Impossible."

Kael struggled against the dark chains.

"What?"

The being walked closer.

"You carry his blood."

Kael frowned.

"Whose?"

The ancient being stared at him.

"The first king."

Malachar stepped forward.

His sword was raised.

"Stay away from him."

The being looked at him.

"Malachar."

The Emperor froze.

"You remember my name?"

A faint smile appeared.

"I remember everything."

"You were the boy who refused to abandon your friend."

Malachar's expression changed.

"You were watching?"

"Always."

The ancient being looked around.

"I watched your ancestors."

"I watched the Seven Sovereigns."

"I watched humanity repeat the same mistakes."

Kael looked between them.

"What are you?"

The being answered:

"My name has been forgotten."

"But before this world knew kings..."

"I was called..."

"The First Sovereign."

The words echoed.

Aurel stepped backward.

"The First Sovereign..."

"The one erased from history."

The being nodded.

"The Seven who came after me were not my successors."

"They were my jailers."

Everyone became still.

Kael stared.

"Jailers?"

The First Sovereign looked toward the Eighth Seal.

"I was not imprisoned because I was evil."

"I was imprisoned because I knew the truth."

Varyn stepped forward.

"Tell them."

"Let them know."

The First Sovereign looked at him.

"You misunderstand your role."

Varyn's smile faded.

"What?"

"You believed you were freeing me."

The chamber became cold.

"But you were only opening the door."

Varyn froze.

"Opening the door for what?"

The First Sovereign looked beyond the seal.

"Something even I could not defeat."

A terrifying silence followed.

The being continued.

"The darkness behind the seal is not my prison."

"It is the prison I created."

Kael felt his blood run cold.

"Then what is inside?"

The First Sovereign looked at him.

"The thing that consumed my world."

Suddenly...

A roar came from beyond the gate.

Not loud.

Not powerful.

Just deep.

Ancient.

The sound of something that had existed before fear.

The First Sovereign's expression became serious.

"It has awakened."

Malachar gripped his sword.

"Then the seal must be closed again."

The First Sovereign looked at him sadly.

"It cannot."

"Why?"

"Because the final key has already arrived."

Everyone looked at Kael.

The chains around him tightened.

Varyn smiled again.

"The prophecy was correct."

Kael's eyes hardened.

"You used me."

Varyn looked at him.

"Yes."

"And I would do it again."

The rage inside Kael exploded.

The crimson mark on his hand ignited.

The four inheritances answered.

Guardian's Dominion.

Sovereign's Truth.

The Fourth Inheritance.

All of them combined.

The chains began cracking.

Varyn's smile disappeared.

"No..."

Kael pulled harder.

"I am not a key."

The chamber shook.

"I am not a weapon."

Another crack.

"I choose my own destiny."

The chains shattered.

BOOOOOOM!

A wave of crimson energy exploded outward.

Everyone was pushed back.

Kael landed beside his sword.

He picked up the Blood Sovereign Blade.

The First Sovereign watched him carefully.

Then...

He smiled.

For the first time.

"Interesting."

Kael looked at him.

"What?"

The ancient being answered:

"After thousands of years..."

"Humanity finally created a Sovereign who does not seek power."

"But freedom."

Outside the Black Citadel...

The sky split open.

The First Watcher looked downward.

And for the first time...

The golden eye showed fear.

Because something had returned.

Something older than the Abyss.

Something even the Watcher had been guarding against.
