The Black Citadel stood at the centre of a storm.

Above the palace, the heavens twisted.

The clouds moved in unnatural circles as the golden eye of the First Watcher stared down from the sky.

But the Watcher was no longer watching with indifference.

It was watching with fear.

Inside the Eighth Chamber, Kael stood with his sword in hand.

The chains that had bound him lay shattered across the floor.

Lord Varyn stared at him in disbelief.

"You broke the Abyssal Chains..."

"No one has ever escaped them."

Kael looked at him coldly.

"You made one mistake."

Varyn narrowed his eyes.

"What mistake?"

"You thought my blood was my destiny."

Kael raised the Blood Sovereign Blade.

"But my choices are mine."

The First Sovereign watched silently.

For thousands of years, he had seen kings rise and fall.

He had seen warriors chase power.

He had seen rulers destroy themselves searching for greatness.

But Kael was different.

The young Sovereign did not desire a throne.

He did not desire revenge.

He desired the truth.

"You remind me of him."

Kael looked at the ancient being.

"Who?"

The First Sovereign looked away.

"The first man who understood the burden of power."

Malachar stepped forward.

"Enough riddles."

His sword burned with black flames.

"If you are truly the First Sovereign, then tell us how to stop what is coming."

The ancient ruler looked at him.

"You still carry the same determination."

Malachar frowned.

"What does that mean?"

"You were always willing to sacrifice yourself."

A brief silence passed.

Then the First Sovereign turned toward the opening seal.

"But this time..."

"That will not be enough."

A sudden tremor shook the chamber.

The opening behind the First Sovereign expanded.

A wave of darkness poured out.

Not energy.

Not magic.

Something worse.

A presence.

Every person in the room felt it.

Even Veyron, miles away outside the palace, released a terrified roar.

Aurel whispered,

"What is that?"

The First Sovereign answered:

"The Hollow King."

The name alone made the chamber colder.

Kael looked at him.

"Who is the Hollow King?"

The First Sovereign's expression became heavy.

"Before this world existed, there were two forces."

"Creation."

"And destruction."

"Creation gave birth to life."

"Destruction gave birth to the Hollow King."

Selene stepped closer.

"Then why was it sealed here?"

"Because it learned."

Everyone became silent.

"It learned that destroying worlds was meaningless."

"It wanted something greater."

Kael's eyes narrowed.

"What?"

The First Sovereign looked at the sky.

"It wanted to replace creation itself."

Lord Varyn suddenly laughed.

Everyone turned toward him.

The old adviser stood slowly.

"You expect them to believe you?"

The First Sovereign looked at him.

"Do you still believe you are the chosen one?"

Varyn's smile faded.

"I brought you freedom."

"No."

The ancient ruler shook his head.

"You brought yourself a dream."

Dark energy began leaking from Varyn's body.

Kael stared.

"Varyn..."

The old man's appearance began changing.

The gentle adviser disappeared.

Beneath the illusion was a warrior covered in ancient black markings.

A servant of the Hollow King.

Malachar's expression hardened.

"You were never human."

Varyn smiled.

"I was."

"But humanity was weak."

"I found something stronger."

He raised his hands.

The darkness from the seal rushed toward him.

"I will become the bridge between worlds."

The First Sovereign looked disappointed.

"Another fool seeking power."

Varyn screamed.

"I WILL BECOME A GOD!"

The darkness entered his body.

The entire chamber shook.

His armour cracked.

His eyes turned completely black.

A terrifying pressure filled the room.

Caelan stepped back.

"That is not a man anymore."

Elara gripped her bow.

"Then what is it?"

Aurel answered quietly.

"A vessel."

Varyn laughed.

"Look at yourselves."

"The greatest warriors of this age."

"The last Blood Sovereign."

"The Emperor."

"The descendants of legends."

"And yet..."

He pointed at them.

"You are all afraid."

Kael looked at him.

"No."

Varyn smiled.

"You think you aren't?"

Kael tightened his grip.

"Fear is not weakness."

The room became silent.

"Fear reminds us what we are fighting for."

A faint crimson glow surrounded him.

"I am afraid."

"But I will still fight."

The First Sovereign looked at Kael with surprise.

Then he nodded.

"That..."

"Is why you may succeed."

Varyn attacked.

The entire chamber exploded with darkness.

Malachar moved first.

His sword clashed against Varyn's corrupted blade.

BOOM!

The force pushed both men backward.

Kael joined immediately.

The Blood Sovereign Blade struck from the side.

Varyn blocked.

"You still don't understand."

"You cannot defeat me."

Kael stared at him.

"Why?"

"Because I am no longer bound by human limits."

Kael smiled slightly.

"Neither am I."

The four inheritances activated.

Crimson light.

Golden light.

Silver light.

Blue light.

All four surrounded him.

The First Sovereign watched carefully.

"The Fifth Inheritance..."

Kael froze.

"The Fifth?"

The ancient ruler looked toward the distant horizon.

"It has awakened."

Everyone felt it.

Far beyond the desert.

Far beyond the mountains.

An ancient shrine had opened.

The Fifth Sovereign had chosen its heir.

But then...

A terrible sound echoed.

CRACK.

The Eighth Seal broke further.

The Hollow King's presence grew stronger.

The First Sovereign looked toward Kael.

"You must choose."

Kael stared.

"Choose what?"

"Save this battle..."

"Or save the world."

Silence.

Because everyone understood.

The two choices were not the same.

Instead, he wore simple white clothing, looking less like an ancient destroyer and more like an ordinary traveller.“You brought me here.”The Hollow King nodded.“Yes.”“Where is this place?”The ancient ruler smiled.“The First Realm.”“The birthplace of all worlds.”Kael’s eyes widened.“The First Realm...”“I thought it was only a legend.”“So did everyone after it was erased.”The Hollow King began walking throu
