A few days after the slaughter at the Red Frog Sect, the townspeople slowly began to settle. Anxiety still lingered in the air — some feared the killer might return, this time to butcher ordinary villagers who lacked martial arts.

Arga’s wounds were gradually mending thanks to the Ganti Rogo healing art. His broken bones, however, required patient, incremental treatment; each adjustment was painful and difficult. Throughout his recovery, Lastri attended him with unwavering care — gentle, attentive, and efficient in every small task.

One afternoon Arga unpacked the items he had taken from the ruins of the Red Frog Sect. Nestled inside a coarse cloth bag were a few objects that he immediately recognised as important.

“This potion will boost inner strength… with this I can speed up my training in the Iron-Body Realm and ascend to the Realm of Mighty Strikes,” he murmured to himself as he placed a small red ceramic bottle on the table. He then drew out a small golden dagger.

King Wirabhumi, Rengga, and Indrajaya could hardly believe what they had just heard from Arya, the youngest son of King Dharmalaksana.“You mustn’t act recklessly,” Rengga warned, his tone filled with urgency. “That place is swarming with masters of the highest martial realms!”Indrajaya quickly added, “He’s right, Prince. Even if we intend to rescue Wiguna, we’ll need a meticulous plan first.”He walked over to a long wooden table, taking a piece of dried parchment and a quill before sitting back down. With sharp precision, he began sketching the layout of the Hell Sword Sect. His eyes would occasionally close as he strained to recall every detail of that dreadful place.“The sect is surrounded by tall, thick walls,” he explained, circling several points on the parchment. “There are watchtowers stationed on these positions—each constantly guarded.”Then his quill moved to the far end of the map. “The prison is located here, at the very rear. It’s the most heavily guarded area of the

“Why were you still trying to kill him!?” Arimbi snapped, her voice sharp with frustration. She had done everything she could to stop Arga from spilling blood in the middle of the auction, but the cold indifference in his eyes hadn’t changed.Arga said nothing. His attention remained fixed on the stage where Arum, the host, carried another item forward. The flickering lamplight illuminated her graceful figure as the noise of the audience filled the room.Arimbi clenched her fists. His silence annoyed her even more. But before she could speak again, one of the noble’s guards rushed forward and fell to his knees before Arga. His eyes glistened with tears.“Thank you, noble warrior! You saved my brother’s life!” the large man cried, his voice trembling with emotion.Arimbi froze. She had been certain that Arga had poisoned the man earlier—but now, the truth dawned on her. The golden pill he had given was not meant to kill, but to heal. The Soul Pill, as it was called, was a rare and mira

  • The Auction – Part I

Arga and Arimbi sat quietly on the second floor of the wooden building, overlooking the bustling crowd below. The main hall was filled with people—merchants, nobles, and wanderers—all gathered to witness the grand monthly auction. A few influential figures occupied the seats on the upper floor, their lavish robes and jeweled ornaments marking them as people of power and wealth in the region. From where they sat, Arimbi could feel the hungry gazes of some of those nobles upon her. Their lecherous eyes followed her every movement, stripping her dignity with their looks. Arga noticed it too, though he said nothing. If not for the fact that they were in a public place, Arimbi would have gladly gouged out the eyes of anyone who dared to stare at her like that.Below, the noise of the crowd swelled with anticipation as the first item of the day was about to be revealed.A beautiful woman stepped gracefully from behind the small stage. Her movements were practiced, every step calculated to d

The man on the floor screamed in agony, begging for mercy from the silent young woman who sat motionless before him.“Please—please forgive me, miss! I swear I’ll never do it again!” he cried, his voice cracking with pain. But the woman in white did not seem to hear him. Her expression remained calm, her eyes as cold as winter frost. Then, without warning—Crack! The sound of breaking bone filled the air, sharp and sickening. Even the onlookers shuddered at the chilling noise.“How ruthless… and yet so calm. Impressive,” Arga murmured between bites of his meal, clearly entertained. When the man finally went limp from exhaustion and pain, the woman released her shadow technique. Her expression softened again, as if nothing had happened. The man collapsed on the wooden floor, clutching his mangled arm and groaning in despair. Then her eyes turned toward Arga.Their gazes met for a heartbeat, and the young warrior froze. His pulse quickened before he averted his eyes and pretended not to

  • The Mysterious Maiden

That night, Arga rented a small room at an inn not far from the Golden Step Sect. Rumor had it that tomorrow, an auction for ancient relics and rare artifacts would be held in the nearby town — an event that drew martial artists and collectors from every corner of the realm.Unbeknownst to him, a woman dressed entirely in white had been observing him from the moment he arrived. By coincidence—or perhaps fate—she had also taken a room next to his.Inside his room, Arga sat cross-legged, unrolling the ancient Scroll of Immortality. The dim lamplight flickered softly across the parchment as he read and rehearsed the intricate martial formulas within. He had made up his mind — by dawn, he must at least reach the realm known as Mystic Strike. He had learned from whispers among the martial world that several elders of the Black Serpent Sect had already stepped into the early stages of the Immortal Realm, while others remained in the final phase of Mystic Strike. Even that level alone would

The two remaining scavengers were stunned when Arga moved with astonishing agility, slipping past every shadowy strike hurled at him.“This is insane! How can he dodge so quickly!?” one of them cried out, his voice trembling with disbelief. The other didn’t reply. His expression was tense, his face drenched with sweat as fear began to seep into his bones. Meanwhile, their fallen companion was still muttering incoherently on the ground, delirious from the earlier clash.Arga’s movements were fluid and precise, his body weaving effortlessly between the phantom assaults. Even with his eyes closed, he could sense every attack that came his way, evading them as if guided by an unseen instinct. Then, at the perfect moment, he struck back. His sword moved with impossible speed, slicing through the invisible shadows that surged toward him in waves.Srak! Both scavengers screamed in unison. Their bodies convulsed violently before collapsing to the earth, their limbs still twitching in death’s
