Melaine's face contorted with rage as she whirled on her daughter like a viper striking its prey. "Useless! Absolutely useless!" she shrieked, her voice echoing through the hospital corridor. "What good are you if you can't even handle a few security guards?"
Emilia flinched under her mother's verbal assault, her cheeks burning with humiliation. "Mother, please—"
"Don't 'Mother please' me!" Melaine snapped, jabbing her finger at Emilia's chest. "Call Denver right now! Make him fix this mess!"
With trembling fingers, Emilia dialed Denver's number, pressing the phone desperately to her ear. The phone rang once, twice, three times before going to voicemail. She tried again with the same result.
"He's not answering," Emilia whispered, her voice barely audible.
"Not answering?" Melaine's voice reached a pitch that could shatter glass. "What kind of man doesn't answer when his fiancée calls? What kind of powerful family heir ignores an emergency?"
The men in black watched the scene with obvious amusement, their smirks growing wider with each passing second.
"Having trouble reaching your knight in shining armor?" the lead man taunted, his voice dripping with mockery.
Emilia's hands clenched into fists. "He's... he's probably busy arranging important matters. We'll come back tomorrow when he can handle this personally."
"How pathetic," one of the other men chuckled. "A B-tier family that can't even guarantee a phone call."
This is humiliating, Emilia thought, her face burning with shame. Tomorrow, Denver will show these fools exactly who they're dealing with.
Melaine grabbed Emilia's arm roughly. "Fine! We're leaving! But mark my words," she snarled at the men in black, "you'll regret this tomorrow!"
The men simply laughed as the two women retreated down the corridor, their designer heels clicking frantically against the polished floor.
The next morning, Keith and Linda approached St. Augustine Memorial Hospital's entrance, the morning sun casting long shadows across the pavement. Keith wore a simple but well-tailored suit, while Linda carried a small medical bag.
As they neared the elevator bank, familiar voices rang out from the seating area nearby.
"Denver, why didn't you answer my calls yesterday?" Emilia's voice carried a sharp edge of accusation. "I needed you!"
Denver lounged in his chair with practiced nonchalance, though his eyes were bloodshot from his night of debauchery at the city's most exclusive nightclub. "Darling, I was in deep negotiations with the Miracle Doctor all evening. These high-level medical consultations require complete focus."
What a smooth liar, Keith thought, observing Denver's performance from a distance.
Emilia's expression immediately softened, her anger melting into adoration. "Oh, Denver! I'm so sorry for doubting you. You're always thinking of Laurent's welfare."
"Of course," Denver replied smugly. "The Miracle Doctor will arrive today to perform Laurent's surgery. Everything has been arranged."
Melaine clasped her hands together, tears of gratitude streaming down her cheeks. "Denver, you're an angel sent from heaven! What would we do without you?"
Denver's chest puffed out with false pride as he strode toward the men in black, who remained stationed like immovable sentinels at the elevator.
"Gentlemen," Denver announced with theatrical authority, "I am Denver Walsh, heir to the Walsh family—a powerful B-rank dynasty in this city. I'm ordering you to stand aside immediately."
The lead man looked Denver up and down with obvious disdain. "And I'm telling you to take a hike, pretty boy."
Denver's confident smile faltered slightly. "Do you have any idea what kind of influence my family wields? No one in this city dares to cross the Walsh name!"
"Your family name sounds about as impressive as a wet paper bag," another man replied with a snort of laughter.
"This is your final warning," Denver continued, his voice rising with desperation disguised as authority. "Move aside, or face the consequences of defying a B-tier family!"
The men in black exchanged amused glances before bursting into laughter that echoed through the hospital lobby.
"B-tier family?" the lead man wheezed between laughs. "What's next, are you going to threaten us with your daddy's allowance money?"
Denver's face turned crimson as he fumbled for his phone. "I'm calling my people right now! You'll be dragged out of here within the hour!"
As Denver barked orders into his phone, Emilia spotted Keith and Linda approaching from across the lobby. Her expression immediately darkened like storm clouds gathering.
"Keith!" she called out sharply, marching toward him with Melaine trailing behind. "What took you so long? Laurent needs blood immediately!"
Keith's expression remained ice-cold as he reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out a crisp legal document. "Sign this."
Emilia glanced down at the papers, her eyes widening as she read the heading. "Divorce papers? Are you threatening me now, you pathetic worm?"
"I'm not threatening anyone," Keith replied calmly. "I'm ending this farce of a marriage."
Emilia threw back her head and laughed, the sound sharp and mocking. "Oh, this is rich! You think you can scare me with divorce papers? The Miracle Doctor will be here any moment! I don't need your worthless blood anymore!"
She snatched the pen from Keith's hand, her movements aggressive and theatrical. "Fine! You want to play hardball? I'll give you one final chance to prove you're worth keeping around as a servant!"
"Just sign the papers," Keith said with quiet finality.
"You arrogant piece of trash!" Emilia screeched, her voice echoing through the lobby. "You think you're calling the shots here? You're nothing but a used-up blood bag!"
She scribbled her signature across the document with vicious strokes, then slammed the pen down triumphantly.
"There! Happy now?" she sneered, pushing the papers back toward Keith. "But I bet you don't have the guts to actually sign it yourself, do you? This is just another one of your pathetic bluffs!"
Without hesitation, Keith picked up the pen and signed his name with smooth, confident strokes.
Emilia's victorious expression crumbled into shock, her mouth falling open like a fish gasping for air. "You... you actually signed it?"
"We're done," Keith said simply, folding the papers and placing them back in his jacket.
"But... but..." Emilia stammered, her mind struggling to process what had just happened.

Her voice cut through the tension like a blade."How dare you show such disrespect toward the Miracle Doctor!" she snapped, her eyes blazing with fury. "Do you have any idea who you're speaking to?"The middle-aged man crossed his arms stubbornly, his skepticism written across his weathered features. "Listen, lady, I don't care what credentials you wave around. This kid looks like he just graduated high school, not medical school!"Just then, the suite's double doors opened with a soft whoosh, and a striking woman entered the room. She possessed an air of natural authority that seemed to command respect from everyone present, her designer business suit tailored to perfection."Chris," she said coolly, her voice carrying the weight of generations of breeding and power, "what exactly is going on here?"The middle-aged man—Chris—immediately straightened, though his exp

"How long have you been carrying on this disgusting affair? How long have you been making a fool of me?"Keith's expression remained glacially cold as he regarded his soon-to-be ex-wife. "Not everyone is like you, Emilia."The words hit like a physical blow, and Emilia's face contorted with humiliated fury. Keith leaned back in his chair, studying the phone with newfound interest. "What's your name?""Ivan Kappel," the voice replied, trembling with desperation. "I'm the heir of the Kappel family. Please, sir, my father doesn't have much time left."Keith raised an eyebrow, glancing at Linda. The name meant nothing to him—in his prime, families of such insignificance had been beneath his notice, like ants scurrying around the feet of giants.Linda leaned forward, her voice low but audible. "The Kappel family owns assets worth several billion dollars. They're an S-tier family from the provincial capital—barely wealthy enough to know about your true identity."Barely at the threshold, Keith thought, amused by the irony. Once upon a time, I wouldn't have bothered with anyone below triple-A tier."Send me the address," Keith said into the phone. "I'll come tomorrow.""Thank you! Thank you so much!" Emilia stormed out onto the bustling city street, fury crackling off her in waves. Denver hurried after her, nearly stumbling in his rush to catch up. Neon’s glittering lights mocked them both, a painful reminder of the humiliation they'd just endured."I can't believe that lowlife dared to humiliate us!" Emilia seethed, her voice echoing down the sidewalk. "He's found some new, rich woman, hasn’t he? That scheming bastard!"Denver nodded, frustration burning behind his eyes. "It makes sense. How else could a penniless parasite like Keith even dream of getting into Neon’s VIP suites? He's probably been cozying up to her behind your back."Emilia’s manicured hands clenched into fists, nails digging sharply into her palms. "He thinks he can walk away so easily? Well, I’ll show him. He'll regret ever crossing the Richardson family."Denver lifted an eyebrow, curiosity flickering. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"A cruel smirk tugged at Emilia’s lips. "First, I'm filing for divorce
