Chapter Thirty Four

“Who is that?” Sophia asked.

Sophia withdraw when she heard the statement. She tweaked her head behind and gazed at what she meant. Madam Akwete lifted her hand a bit to signify what she meant.

“That’s Herbert Halloway. The man I just told you that I and my colleagues were investigating. We’ve began now it has been quite a while and we are almost done.”

Sophia said and began ambling back to the parlour. She was seriously famished and couldn’t wait to have the food in her belly. It had been a while she ate traditionally made food and the way she was walking could tell a lot about her longings for the food.

“Come back here,” Madam Akwete said.

“What’s it mum. That’s why I don’t want to come here in the first place. You ask questions a lot. I am hungry,” she lamented lingering at the step connecting the dining room and the parlour. Madam Akwete’s eyes was still glued on the photo as she was talking to her.
