The smell of coffee and freshly printed report papers stayed in the air, quiet conversations hummed in the air amidst duty discharge.Behind the front desk, a heavy-bellied officer sat behind with a permanent scowl on his face while speaking to a matured woman."The name of the girl your mentioned is not found in our database, Madam," the officer said, his voice rude. "You common citizens just waltz in here to make empty reports!" The woman, tears rolling down to her cheek, face streaked with sweat and dirt held the officers's hand desperately."I'm not lying, officer...my daughter..she's missing..." Her voice cracked with emotions that didn't even move the officer a bit. Instead, it got him even more infur

"Are you sure?" She was skeptical, her eyes roaming over his body, searching for a tear, a mark, any injury but what she was was dust and blood on his vest, and none of it belonged to him. "Absolutely." He repeated calmly. "I told you it was nothing to worry about. This is nothing compared to what I faced while I was in prison."Sophia nodded gently. Then her eyes darted to the backstage door. "There are other girls in a room at the back. We should save them too and hand them over to the police for identification."Kade looked in the direction

And Kade coming out from that terrifying place meant he's no more ordinary.Jack took one step forward. The shock in his eyes earlier vanished, replaced with cold amusement. "You're different now.
