116: The Mysterious Vampire Outbreak
Chills washed down Ren’s spine as the scream pierced his ears. Pandemonium broke out in the dark. Guests began scrambling. Confusion became the order of the day. Soon, it was no longer just one voice. There were multiple voices screaming, wailing. Ren heard them behind him, they crashed into him. He was trying to get away in the dark when someone pounced on him like a tiger and reached for his neck. His first thought was; ‘how could they find my neck in the dark?’ Before he could throw off whoever was above him, something slashed his face and he felt the sharpest sting he'd felt in a long time. “Fuck, get off me!” he hissed, shoving the person off. But they wouldn't get off, they latched onto him like a leech and when Ren lost his mind was when he felt the violent scrape of teeth against his skin. He froze, the hairs on his skin rising on end. And in the next nanosecond, his hand moved in a scary momentum of its own. SLAM! CRACK! It went flying into the skull of his attacker

Hana had been at her desk ever since Ren left for work that morning without so much as five words to her. He’d had a serious demeanor about him that stopped her from asking him if they could continue their session tonight. She had been shocked by his sudden willingness the previous night. Ren Carter finally showed up at OakHills hospital for the first time in three weeks. It was nothing but Ryker’s call that brought him out of his shell. Not because he was afraid. Hana was tongue-tied for a while. Until she found her voice. “Of course I'm concerned about the story, Ren. I can't tell you the reason yet, but it means a lot to me.” Ren was silent for a moment, watching her face as she slid the shirt off his broad shoulders. It was as her fingers brushed his skin that she jerked out of her reverie. She dropped his shirt and jumped back, as if she was only just realizing what she was doing. Ren studied her flushed face. “Are you okay?”“I'm fine!” she snapped, averting her gaze. “Finish up yourself. Use the shower.
